Hewitt is in good form lately, will be playing the 3rd straight final today. But then, won't he be tired A LOT after that long playing streak? Or maybe hes just having some good practise?

Agassi was in bad form for sometime loosing some first round clashes on clay, but then he reminded he not so bad and old on hard. If he still can win something big in his career, the time is now.

Roddick is down lately IMO. He lost to much older Agassi in Cincinatti, then hes out of Olympics (where I thought he must have been favorite to win the title). He will have supprot, but... I wouldn't bet my balls on him...

Federer. Lost in Cincinatti and Olmpics to players he shouldn't loose... Somethings not right...

Its really had to decide wich one to back. But I think that won't be the first two seeds. The oods for Hewitt and Aggassi looks nice for now :) They will be dropping fast and offering some covering in the later rounds

It looks like Hewitt has the best and easiest draw and he shouldnīt have too much problems to reach semifinal with the from he has in last weeks. Only Nalbandian, Grosjean, Gonzalez or Haas are able to make it difficult for him, but heīs extremelly motivated to perform well on Open again.

But if Federer will be able to show his best tennis I doubt that anyone could beat him. But still itīs open and thereīre two weeks of great tennis ahead of us.

Maybe you think Iīm stupid but my favourite is Juan Carlos Ferrero. He plays better from week to week. If you look on his results you will agree with me and I think if he can make another step to his best form he will be really hot in NY and really underrated.

Well, he looked well in Autralian Open, but I think odds of ~50.00 is a fair price for him. He's still lacking quality to beat top players like Federer or Hewitt.

Hey, man! This was extremely interesting!
I also noticed (and I think other bettors too) that my betting consists of rhytms, there are periods, when I can win blindly and there are periods, when I cant hit a winner even if I make 12 hours long researches... and it comes in cycles. So, it would be nice to avoid losing streaks by knowing when your bad periods are.
How does it show? In bad overall feeling or else?
GL!

I'll try to compare players on that way too and we will see, some good results wont be bad

For example:
I made some minus today and my Intelectual is on -86. :?
I didn't really mind and my emotional is on +100 8)

Lleyton Hewitt these days.....interesting..... as I read result in a finals rught now is 6-3, 6-0 aginst Horna. Physical curve shows he will be hot at least for a week more

I was about to post this:

----
BioBetter I saw some calculation on Nizhegorodov and I was wondering why you did them the way you did, instead of calculating them from his birth time...

Is the birth time an accurate measurement to find current biorhythms or are there factors that over time can "recalibrate" one's own biorhythms and hence we need more recent dates to "recalibrate" an athlete's cycle?

I do find very interesting the whole biorhythm thing. Very, very interesting...
---

But now I saw your answer that calculation from birth date is nonsense and I'm totally covered :D

I'll go for extremly big difference in a physical condition, however emotional and intelectuall are important too IMO.
I want to say that a good player despite he is down on his physical level, but his intelectual is high, he can win whith smart and tactical playing.
Yeah I know this is some very primitive explanation.

Anyway since Biobetter started whit some info about this aspect and it seems extremly interesting for me, I'll use US open for resarch in that kind a matter.

I'll try to post later a few so called tight matches whith equal opponents.

1st example:
Greg Rusedski has all of components of biorhytm in uptrend. He will be on his highest level in the midlle of the tournament. He will play against Saulnier in 1st round who has his physical on almost highest possiblle in a moment.
So if Rusedski pass he might go pretty far (I don't know what is the draw for him in next rounds).
Saulnier: P +94, E -84, I +38
Rusedski: P +13, E+85, I -44

Odds are setlled equal. And from this point of wiev we can not choose the right one. Maybe just one tiny thing. When Rusedski is playing there is a lot of tie breakes involved. His emotional (nerves) is in his favour..... let's say if it comes to tie break Greg will win it.

2nd example
1,7 Santoro F. v Martin T. 1,95
First of all H2H 3:1 for Martin, last match won by Santoro
Here we have extreme difference in physical:
Santoro: P -93, E -84, I +76
Martin T.: P +98, E +34, I -27

So let's say Martin will win it.

P. S. Don't take it too seriously

Birthday-based biorytm seems nuts... Nevrtheles I think BioBetter is basically right with his theory. Just for amusement sake I applied his theory on Mayer-Saretta match. In this aspect those who favour Mayer should be careful... Florian, beware of Saretta these days... :)

Already seeing some nice cash if he passes some rounds

Diegas, IMO Agassi has chances to get to the quarters. But in quarters there is Federer. And right now Agassi doesn't have any chances with Roger.
And with whom Federer can loose in his quarter? Santoro? Ljubicic? Nieminen? Martin? Pavel?. Fabrice Santoro has the biggest chances and they are .................circa......................0,1% IMO

I really think that Hewitt is capable of getting the title. Some may say that he can be tired after 3 finals in a row, but - believe me - sometimes he plays harder on trainings than in those matches in those 3 tournaments. Tired? After 6-1; 6-4 games with weak players? I don't think so. If his form stays with him, he can surprise Federer in final. Yes, Federer cause I think there is no player in the upper half who could surprise Roger nowadays. The only two capable of doing this are Hewitt and Roddick. And Andy and Lleyton will meet in the SF and the winner of this clash will be the champion.

That's what I see in my new crystal ball.

"The "play or pay" principle applies to all bets. This means, that in case of non-participation of the starter, on whom the bet has been placed, for reasons whatsoever, the bet is lost if the betting event takes place. An exception to this rule is tennis, whereby a player does not play (or a double pair), the stake is refunded (evaluation with odds of 1.00). This exception, however, does not apply when a bet is placed on the ultimate winner of a tennis event. The special bet "Which player will advance the furthest in the tournament?" will be declared valid as soon as the first ball of the match is played. The bet will not be affected if a player is to withdraw (i.e. walkover) before the end of a match. If by chance both players reach the final, then the player who wins "advances the furthest".

That what is say in "Betandwin.com" rules.

I still don`t get it... Is the bet void, or not???

Most books do void the bet.
Only one book(that I know) that doesn't void the bet is Fonbet, which is sometimes very usefull if you expect player to retire...

Still I don't understand why do bet on tennis @baw. Their odds are pure sh*t on tennis. You can find better ones almost at every other book. I bet there rarely, but still keep an account with them cause they are almost the only book to offer some 'exotic' leagues(like lithuanian)... ;)

By their rules if someone retires then this player is the loser and bet is decided accordingly. There's nothing to complaint about. Bad luck.

BTW, while their odds are crappy, sometimes they put up good odds on some dogs.
