i think germinal beerschot have a good value.they're playing good when they're at home.also lokeren have just four pts at away games.i'm waiting belgian friends' predictions before betting...

SOTS

Watch out, Lokeren is in desperate need of points. they didn't expect to be in this position at the start of the season and their chairman still thinks the coach will turn it around. I rarely bet on Lokeren cause they are really unpredictable.

On the other side GBA is in great form, they have a prolific strikeforce. However there is nothing to play for anymore. I think an over 2.5 might be a better bet. But don't let me stop you from betting on GBA, you could do a lot worse than that.

Concerning the home and away form of the 2 teams it looks sound, but GBA misses a few players tonight and is playing for nothing really, while Lokeren, as SOTS also pointed out, despite their many problems is fighting for its existence. So the motivational plus seems to be on their side tonight. Personally I will stay out of this match...

21:30 Beerschot - Lokeren 1,70 3,30 4,00

Last year Beerschot need 3 points to stay at first division...and won 1-2 at Lokeren's home !

Now Lokeren need 3 points for the same reason..... i like 4 very much...i'll take away win medium stakes

Germinal Beerschot - Lokeren

Germinal Beerschot :
Luciano-Losada, De Roeck, Van Dooren, Dheedene, Monteyne-King,
Colman, Roelandts-Cavens, Sterchele

All important players will play tonight so no worries there. GBA is very strong at home. Attacker Sterchele (14 goals) has just received his first cap for the national team that will play against Portugal next week.

Lokeren :
Lazic-Van Hoey, Doll, Carlos, El Mouataz-Camara, Overmeire, Bouabe,
Kristinsson- Mbayo, Armoumen

Very poor team. Fighting against relegation. Hasi, Dufer, Vukomanovic en Filipovic are missing (according to the latest news, but i dont believe this). Dufer and Filipovic are rather important. Other 2 are not that good.

I would go for the under 2.5 here. Somehow i dont trust GBA and Lokeren may take the points they desperately need. GBA will lack motivation. Lokeren will be highly motivated but lacking scoring ability.

Hehe, the quality difference is too big here. Who had seen both teams playing will know it, no single Lokeren fan that gives 10% to their win today. What they are playing is pure 2nd division football.. And Germinal Beerschot at home was good. Not motivated? Yes they are, top 5 stays their aim, ok maybe they won't reach it, but they've lost too much unnecessary points in the past, and they want to get some credit from the fans and of course coach Brys is playing to get a new contract ;)

8/10 for me on GB, I've posted a pick on the main page

3/10 on Genk to win @ 1.901 (pinnacle)
2/10 on Brugge - Brussels (Under 2.75 Goals) @ 1.833 (pinnacle)

Full write-ups @ http://jupilerleague.blogabet.com

About GBA tonight, they should be able to win that match but I'm not sure if the 1.70 odds are worth the risk. The league has come to a stage were some teams haven't got much to play for anymore and other have a whole lot to play for. Lokeren can do an excellent deal if they are able to take points tonight knowing that at least 1 of their 2 direct opponents will lose points this week. No Bet for me

My view for this weekend :

Club Brugge - FC Brussels
Maertens (def), Klukowski (def) and Ishiaku (att) are out. All 3 are normally in the starting 11. Daerden (mid) will be back after injury.
Brussels will miss Bruno, Negouai, Citony and Haydock. Only first one is somehow important.

My advice is to stay away from this match. Club is too unpredictable to bet on. And Brussels can only draw this season (5 wins and 11 draws). I expect a small win for Club. 1-0 or 2-0

Mons - Genk
As far as i know Mons will be at full strength.
Genk misses Soetaers, Haroun and Matoukou. All three rather important.

I think Genk will face a lot of problems tonight. Bergen is not such a bad team. They only need a few points more to stay in first division this year. Genk will miss Soetaers this evening due to suspension and i think they will miss his great crosses and corners.
So i would go for a home win or a draw. 2-1 is my prediction.

Anderlecht - Zulte Waregem
Both teams dont miss anybody.

Dont think it is worth betting on this match. Normally easy win for Anderlecht. But it is always risky to bet on Anderlecht after a great performance in their last match (Cup win against Genk, 6-0 last wednesday). I think coach Dury of Waregem will play defensive and will avoid any offensive risk. Could be a boring match with 1-0 or 2-0 on the scoreboard. On the other hand Anderlecht could show some more magic and 5-2 or 5-1 could also be possible.

Beveren - Lierse

Except from Badjan everybody is fit.
Lierse on the otherhand will miss Thompson (def). But Mrdja, De Corte and Peeters will return from injury. Esp. Peeters is important for the team (but i expect he will start on the bench).

Top game between nr 17 and 18 of the division. If Beveren wins things will be over and out for Lierse SK. Even a draw wont be enough for Lierse i think. (as nr. 16 Lokeren won yesterday). Lierse is very poor away. Only 2 points out of 12 away matches. Beveren gained 16 of their 20 points at home. I expect a low scoring game with Beveren as the winner. 1-0.

I will skip the last 2 matches. Maybe tonight i will look at the 2 matches that are scheduled for sunday.

Conclusion :

Bergen - Genk
1X @ 2.02 6/10 (unibet)

Beveren - Lierse
Under 2.5 @ 1.75 7/10 (unibet)

Hi friends from Belgium,

Just wanted to get some info on Anderlecht's game this evening....looks like and easy money although the odds reflect this.Zulte lost the last 4 away games and everything points to a home win.

Olegunnar25 thank you for your preveiw regarding this game and although you said that might not be worth getting involved with this game Do you rate it close to a banker home win?

Any info will be well appreciated especially from Amantinho as you are always spot on.

Thanks and GL

My views on tonight's games ...

Westerlo - Mouscron

bet: Mouscron x2

odd: 1.90 (Sportingbet)

confidence: 7/10

Would take Mouscron at any odd above 1.60 for the x2 option here. Westerlo and Mouscron aren't that much a different sides, both are on the same level I'd say. Westerlo has dissapointed at home to Brussels last time out, while Mouscron held all 3 points at home vs GBA. I got the feeling Westerlo can't handle Mouscron's style. Mouscron is a strange team. Often when they're favs they can't seem to handle it, but in such a match like today, it's great being able to back them up as pretty huge underdogs, as guys like Custovic, Dugardein, Fellahi etc have the potential to get Mouscron points vs every mid-class team. Mouscron loves playing away at Westerlo: They didn't lose overthere since 2001, and won 3 out of the last 5, with 1 draw and 1 loss. Last year Custovic caught Westerlo dead cold with a hattrick and I think he'll be on song again tonight. GL

ps: The away win is possible here too, and can be found at lotsa bookies @ 4.00 or more, worth some dimes ;)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sint Truiden - Charleroi

bet: Charleroi x2

odd: 1.50 (Sportingbet)

confidence: 10/10

Can't see Charleroi losing this one, the form they've been in lately. They're only 4 points adrift from 4th place, and only 4 from 3rd place, which could give them a ticket to the UEFA Cup. Ofcourse 7 points ain't that small a gap considering there are only 9 games left to play, but lately they've been doing everything to get the points, and they're still motivated. They've won 4 out of their last 5 games, and the lost one came at Anderlecht (3-2), where they were level going into the 90th minute. The potential of the team is quite big, and if only they'd concentrate a bit more sometimes they'd have progressed more than where they are now. They didn't lose at St Truiden the last 3 seasons, and they won't today either. Can see the away win happening just like with Mouscron, but being cautious is the best thing to do, so just x2. GL

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mons - KRC Genk

bet: KRC Genk

odd: 1.87 (10bet)

confidence: 7/10

Odds been going up on the away win, and it's a good thing backing them now. News is that both Soetaers and Haroun are out in midfield, and since they're pretty much keyplayers, Genk could have a problem. But I only say "could", and don't think they really will. Iakovenko and Ljubojevic will most probably replace those 2, and they're not that bad either, both got their qualities. Vandenbergh, Chatelle, Da Silva, Ljubojevic, etc still enough scoring potential. Truth is that Mons is going better in recent weeks, but Genk isn't Brugge or GBA ... many people think they got an impressive win vs Brugge, but just look what happened to Brugge at GBA (lost 4-0) ... . Genk to win for me, 0-1 or 0-2. GL

Yeah Anderlecht should trash Zulte, should really have no problem getting 3 or 4 past Zulte, with the current form they're in, probably best stuff they're playing all season long. Hassan is in real fine form and gifting every attacking minded players loads a chances each game. No holmding Anderlecht tonight.

Expect smth like 3-0, 4-0, 3-1, 4-1.

Have also sympathy for STVV (0) but won't put it on main page..

Roeselare's 7 of last 8 home match was over 2.5. On the other hand Standarts away matches are over too.. May be we should try over 2.5 tomorrow for this match  ?

Cercle Brugge K.S.V. - Shot Magazine Online
Sat Mar 17, 2007 at 17:37 (Frans Mantel)

Tom De Sutter may start against AA Gent
Cercle Brugge, who have been moving up the table, away from the relegation zone the past few weeks, will miss some first-team regulars when they take on AA Gent on Sunday night. Tom De Sutter may start as back up for Pivaljevic who serves a one-match ban.

Players usually sense one or two days ahead of a game whether they will be on the pitch when the game kicks off or whether they start on the bench. Tom De Sutter invariably could not do anything else but accept the latter option. "Our coach is mostly rather secretive on whom he will play, but I think he has been trying to prepare me for Sunday’s clash with AA Gent by giving me more tactical instructions than usual”, said Tom De Sutter, who was the season’s revelation until he broke his foot.

Tom De Sutter: "I don’t like to talk about that anymore. What’s done is done. I am match fit and I want to start games.”

You were included in Cercle’s starting line-up against Charleroi. You must have felt isolated up front and did not play well.
"I was not fit enough to start, as I lacked match rhythm. I may have underestimated things; it is not an easy job to recover completely from a nasty injury.”

Do you prefer to play football in summer?
"Not at all. I prefer cold weather, wind and rain to playing football when it is 30 degrees.”

Cercle have not done too badly the past few weeks, so Van Veldhoven did not have to bring on you as an extra striker.
"That’s right. Yet I don’t like warming the bench and I hope I will be handed a start Sunday night.”

You will face AA Gent.
"I live near the stadium, but for me this is just another game. I have never been an AA Gent fan.”

You hope to become a regular at Cercle.
"I admit that I broke my foot at a very inconvenient moment, but when I completed a deal with Cercle, my ambition was to start a number of games in my first season in the Belgian top flight.”

Team update

Igor Gjuzelov and Darko Pivaljevic are suspended and youngster Ewout Denys was given his marching orders last week, when he was shown a second yellow card with the reserves. Frederik Boi and Slobodan Slovic are long-term absentees, just like Wouter Artz and Tom Van Mol, who may have to undergo surgery. Vuza Nyoni returns from injury and has been called up to the squad again. Tom De Sutter is set to depitzie for Pivaljevic and either Portier or Vandenbussche will fill in for Gjuzelov. Youngster Dieter Wittesaele has been added to the seventeen-man squad.

Cercle from:
Rubin Dantschotter, Stijn De Smet, Tom De Sutter, Jimmy De Wulf, Matthias Feys, Honour Gombami, Christophe Grondin, Tony Kane, Milenko Milosevic, Aleksandar Mutavdzic, Vuza Nyoni, Anthony Portier, Sergiy Serebrennikov, Bram Vandenbussche, Francky Vandendriessche, Denis Viane, Dieter Wittesaele.

Harm van Veldhoven’s contract expires at the end of the summer and is being linked with Germinal Beerschot. “It’s too early to make any announcements”, said Pol Vandendriessche, Cercle’s Press Officer. “We expect we will be in a position to present news next week. The board and Van Veldhoven have had talks and we have promised to keep one another informed. Letters of application keep pouring in. First we will make focus on staying up in the First Division.”
