Does anyone give any chance to Atletico Madrid to win Primera Division?
After we saw some serious weaknesses from Barca and Real in yesterdays derby, and bearing in mind other competition ambitions by Valencia(CL) and Sevilla(UEFA&Copa), to me it looks more and more likely.
I placed a bet yesterday @251, and noticed today the odds went down to 150...I wonder how will they look like tommorow if Atletico manages to beat Deportivo with this crippled team, and Sevilla maybe loose 2 or even 3 points on a tough away fixture @ Nastic?
Atletico's game can only get better after todays match, with Perea, Ibanez, Pernia, Gabi, Costinha, Mista and finally Petrov & Maxi Rodriguez all pressing for the first 11, and if Aguirre manages to coordinate them, they could make some serious rows in the coming weeks. Whether it will be enough to clinch the title will not depend only on them, but as I said I don't trust enough to neither of the other contenders, so at those huge odds I think it is worth a try?
Comparing the schedule of the teams it seems that ATM has the easiest opponents in the last 13 rounds: having already played twice against Real, Valencia & Sevilla, they only host Barca in the round 34, while all other teams play at least 2 matches against the teams from this circle, and at least one of them away from home!
I have already made my bet, but have some plans to defend it, so I would like to see the experts opinions on all 5 teams chances, current odds offered etc. Specially from mantis and litost, thanks in advance :D
