Hi I'm thinkin about laying Lazio.
They have Cribari(d) and Siviglia(d) out due to an injury.
Mauri(c) and Mutarelli(c) suspended.
They still have on the front Pandev&Rocchi who can easily score but Reggina is a solid home team (5w 5n 2l at home)which can help them to recover the penality(-11 pts).
The two teams are both looking for points(maybe a draw can make every one happy?..)but IMO Reggina has better chanches with those 4 regulars out for Lazio.
Just early thoughts, waiting 4 more news
i was thinking more of an under in reggina-lazio. in the last 3 matches lazio scored 6 goals but 5 of them with teams like catania and cagliari. i expect them to win(0-1) or to draw(1-1).

Interesting match. I think than winning rows for Lazio will end here. I don't like their play and their ways to manage to get the win. Also they played hard away from Olimpico. Reggina is quite good team this season and I think they callabrians can stop Lazio in their way to Champions League.
empoli will beat livorno. Livorno is weak as a guest and empoli is very consistent at home. They're playing very good and i think should have no difficulty with disposing of livorno.

if we look only at the stats you are right, but do not forget this is an hot tuscany derby ,any result in this match would not surprise me at all.
.... no one has mentioned the Lone Game on Sat, Isnt Cagliari worthless?
i put no stock in the Game last week Playing 11 V 10 for a good part of it V Atalanta, and Samp is cheap enough at a American -130, i dont know the whole Decimal betting thing lol
I like Samp to keep Cagliari in their bad form away from Home as Samp at home has played Very well in Genoa of late, hope for no 1 - 1 Draw, but i see this as a Samp Victory at home 1 - 0
BTW someone needs to update the Schedule they submitted, that isnt the right date of games, theres only one Sat game from what i have seen
Sampdoria to beat Cagliari
In italy the cahmpionship race has ended to early first time in ten year, i think that inter has finished the job month ago, the fight is for that 4TH and 3D champions league place AND there are fighting 5 teams.
Sampdoria is in great form, and they play nice and defensively.
Last game they lost from LAZIO 1-0, and i watched the game and i think they deserved a draw
Hello my friends,
here are my 3 previews for this Serie A round
Empoli vs Livorno
Empoli is surely the revelation team of the season, capable at this point of being in race for a champions league qualification place. They have one of the strongest defence of the league and a very good play finalized by strong strikers. Taking into account that Livorno is almost safe and quite weak away from home, a surprise result here would mean a draw therefore, considering also that every other bookies have odds for a dnb inferior to 1.40, I advice to take this offer by Interwetten with a medium-high stake.
Pick: Empoli (0) @ 1.50 Interwetten - Stake: 8/10
Palermo vs Fiorentina
Palermo, after the injury of their forward Amauri, is in big crisis, winless in last 5 matches while, on the other hand, Fiorentina is one of the most in-form team, losing just one match of the last 16 (!). Moreover Palermo has to do without 2 key players, creative midfielder Corini and forward Caracciolo.
Fiorentina, which is aiming to get a Champions League place, can avenge the result of the first leg. Medium stake on this good dnb offered by Stan James
Pick: Fiorentina (0) @ 1.93 Stan James - Stake: 6/10
Reggina vs Lazio
Lazio is another of the most in-form team of the league, losing just one of the last 12 matches and coming from 4 straight wins. Reggina could not be able to win in the last 4 and got back into the relegation zone. Bu today they must take advantage of the problems in defence and midfield for Lazio which will miss defenders Cribari and Siviglia and midfielders Mauri and Mutarelli suspended and Firmani injured and try to get these very important three points. Not an easy task to do considering that they also miss defender Lanzaro and midfielder Vigiani, but however a dnb on them deserves, in my opinion, a medium stake.
Pick: Reggina (0) @ 1.88 Canbet - Stake: 6/10

Milan - Inter
I think this game will end with a draw.
One of the absolute biggest games of all season is here.
Milan have played better and better in their last games but they still are very passive in their offense and they have trouble to bring their offenisve runs to an end.
Milan clearly have problems with their attack and if you ask me Gilardino is not even near the shape that he showed last season and havent been at the entire season.
The facts that is on Milans side is that they have starting to play better and better lately, even if their attack doesnt work they have a good midfield and their defence is one of the best in europe at the moment. Bonera and Oddo have both shown an incredible shape lately.
Inter have a lot of playes missing, one of Inters best players this season Douglas Maicon will miss due to suspension, they also have to do without Viera and Cambiasso, it isn't certain if Adriano and Burdisso are able to play either.

Empoli - Livorno
Livorno to win
Much is in the favor of Empoli this game but i really think the fact that they have all the pressure on them will affect the result.
Pozzi and Saudati will probably start this game for Empoli. Luca Saudati is 29 years old and a very mediocre player, beside him he has Nicola Pozzi a very young player who have much to show to the world, and havent much experience at all. As I wrote earlier the pressure that Empoli will have they wont be used to, and I think this can lead to the forwards will tend to miss more then usual.
I dont think that this "argument" will be decisive for the game but I definetly think that it is one reason that speaks for Livorno.
Another fact that speaks for Livorno is their fans and the fact that it is a derby. Empoli probably have the lowest attencance amount in Serie A while the Livorno fans are really good at supporting their team and since it's a derby many Livorno fans will probably be found at Stadio Castellani.
Meanwile Livorno do have the one and only Lucarelli and he can score at any opposition.
If you get more then like 4.5 I think Livorno is deffenetly worth a bet.
I also will take under in this game beacaus both team have pretty good defence and neither of these teams is known for their striking abilitys
It wouldnt surprise me att all if the game ended 0-1 but its a to big gamble to bet.
What about home wins of Siena and Torino ?
At Siena too much money has been bet until now.

Chievo -Messina >> Chievo for me
Another tough relegation match-up beckons on Sunday for Chievo Verona at the Bentegodi. The southerners Messina will be the ones making the long trip up the peninsula in search of what could be a vital three points in the fight against Serie B. It’s 15th against 16th in the table. These sides could not be closer. They both have 23 points and will desperately want 26 by Sunday afternoon.
Last game saw the Veronesi take on Milan and though they led for 15 minutes, the Rossoneri eventually steamrollered them. Although Chievo ‘keeper Lorenzo Squizzi was more than a little to blame for Alberto Gilardino’s equaliser, after spilling a long ranger from Kaka, there was nothing he or any other shot-stopper in the world could have done about Massimo Oddo’s thunderbolt.
Coach Luigi Del Neri will have to watch this one from the stands though after he protested too strongly about Milan’s leveller and was sent away from the touchline.
Their opponents played a Sicilian derby against rivals Palermo last time out. There was a little tension, but thankfully it all stayed on the pitch. Andrea Caracciolo was red carded in the 63rd minute – it was the last nail in the coffin for his under par side.
This week’s visitors saw the welcome return of their main striker Christian Rigano’. And for the front man goals proved to be like buses, he has waited long for one and two came along at once. Messina boss Alberto Cavasin will be pleased with his side and looks likely to make only two changes to his starting XI. Mark Iuliano could replace Angelo Rea at centre-back, while Ibrahima Bakayoko may lose his place to Sergio Floccari.
The home side could see a few changes happen. Fabio Moro may come in for Marco Malago’ at the back. In the middle Matteo Brighi may get back into the side after Michele Troino played against Milan. In attack, Erjon Bogdani seems like he will win the race for a starting jersey against Giuseppe Cozzolino.
Man on fire: Christian Rigano’ (Messina) – The front man scored his 10th and 11th of the season after a three month goal drought because of injury. If Cavasin believes his side can survive in Serie A then it is down to this man alone.
Last season: Chievo 2-0 Messina (http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/sa0506/chi-mes.html)
Form guide: Chievo (L D W D L) Messina (D L W L W)
Chievo (probable): Squizzi; Moro, Mandelli, D'Anna, Lanna; Sammarco, Italiano, Brighi, Semioli; Pellissier, Bogdani
Messina (probable): Caglioni; Lavecchia, Iuliano, Zanchi, Parisi; Alvarez, Candela, D’Aversa, Masiello; Floccari, Riganò
[b]Atalanta-Parma X2 (1,80 at gamebookers)
Parma to score anytime 1,45
I think it's good value to bet on Parma, they realy need a win to can hope in the future, they played good last 3 games, scored a lot of goals with Udinese and Reggina and i think they can score at least once with Atalanta,a team that managed to keep a clean sheet only with Lazio in last 10 games.I think Parma will win today, but it's more safe to take x2 for 1,80
Torino AC - Catania Calcio
Good value on hosts here!If it wasn't the league standing where Catania is better placed it could have been -0.75 instead of the current -0.5 and we should take advantage of this offer.
Catania's team looks at the recent poor results as a consequence of playing their home games without crowd but to tell you the true, that's nothing but a natural running as they have been playing over their usual level so far and sooner or later is was pretty normal to see the things set right.Taking a look at their squad which is extremely poor, especially in defence,it's not to be wondered why Catania have conceded 39 goals so far-the worst defence in league!
Torino on the other side seems to struggle this season despite the valuable squad they have but still they shouldn't have any problem in beating Catania at Stadio Olimpico. Moreover,Barone will probably return to the first eleven which is very important for their middle.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Torino (probable): Abbiati; Comotto, Cioffi, Bovo, Balestri; Barone, Ardito; Rosina, Muzzi, Lazetic; Stellone
Catania (probable): Pantanelli; Lucenti, Sottil, Stovini, Vargas; Baiocco, Edusei, Caserta; Colucci, Corona, Spinesi

Inter - Milan
This derby comes in a very interesting moment. On one side Inter really has to prove something. After going out from Champions League the team received many critics with media talking about how much easy is to win in this 2006/07 season in Italy. So a win, mostly in the derby, is a must and of course is useless to talk about the players in the Inter squad cause we all know them. On the other side Milan is playing better and better lately and they are boosted from reaching the quarter finals in Champion League and of course the motivation to beat the other team from Milan and the 1st in the table...is really high!
With so many difference of points in the table, there are no reasons to play a defensive game here and I expect both teams to play an open match, probably not like Barca-Real last night, but I think we can see goals. Over 2 or 2.25 for medium stakes
Palermo - Fiorentina
There are many reasons to go for the away win here.
Fiorentina is playing very well lately and has a great offensive line that will play against an offensive team that has a defence that allows many goals, Fiorentina has to fight for a Champions League place and badly need to take points, mostly against a team upper in the table, Fiorentina lost 3-2 at home in the first match and they should want a revenge. Palermo is playing very poor lately and has both best strykers out and also best playmaker.
The way I see this match is that Fiorentina can surely score more that Palermo today and so can win this game, the only fact that is not good is that Fiorentina is usually a rather poor traveller.
Fiorentina +0 medium stakes
Reggina - Lazio
Both teams are playing good, home side fights for relagation while Lazio for a Champions League place so this is an important match. Lazio is weakened for this match with 2 regulars defenders out and also 2 midfielders. The way I see it is that Lazio still has a very strong offensive line (Rocchi is a great shape) and playing against a weak Reggina defence today they should be able to score. Note also that Reggina plays with 2nd goalkeeper today (1st match for him with this team). Lazio recovers best goalkeeper Peruzzi. Also Reggina has a very good offensive line and should score today. Reggina +0 should be a good option although is not so easy to understand who will win this match, I think there are good chances for a scoring draw.
both teams to score medium stakes (score 1-1, 2-2)
Empoli - Livorno
Empoli on a great run and playing very good. Livorno is IMO a pathetic side, depending much on their stryker Lucarelli, and usually not easy to understand when they want to play football and when they want to make a pic-nic on the field. This is a derby but not much hot like some other has written here before. Many are thinking that Empoli can't stand this position in the table and that they can't stand the pressure, but instead the team is proving something else, IMO they have great confidence, very motivated and in a good physical shape. Considering the run of these teams I find odds on home win very good and it must be tryed.
Home win small/mediumj stakes
Chievo - Messina
This is my favourite bet for this round. Chievo needed some matches to start playing good with new coach but now they are in a uptrend, with a better play and they must win this relegation match at home.
Messina is IMO very poor and despite their last results, they are not so much in a good shape, their last 2 wins against Siena and Palermo were very lucky and mostly due to big mistakes of the opponents. More Messina is a very very poor traveller. I really think Chievo will win this match. Home win medium/high stakes
Atalanta - Parma
Atalanta is not in a good shape, they depend much on their playmaker Doni and he is actually not in a good form, at least in last matches. Atalanta was rather unlucky to lose at Sampdoria lately but was incredibly poor against Cagliari in last match, relegation is not so far and they should wake up. Parma deserves all the support, they have a rather young team but they are fighting like hell to go out from relegation and I must say that with a bit more luck they should have gained more points lately also because they are now playing good with new coach Ranieri. Unfortunately today Parma miss the best stryker Budan and he is very strong. Both teams should fight hard here and I rate this an open matrch, no bet.
Siena - Ascoli
Siena is playing rather good lately and they should have gained more points but they have been very unlucky with some bad mistakes in front of the opposite net and with thousand of posts and bars taken. Still they have a rather weak team and they have to be very aware of Ascoli that is fighting like hell for relegation. A probable home win but the odds are really not value.
Torino - Catania
Torino is very poor and their defence is a joke but at least they have a good offensive line, today they play a 4-2-3-1 but looking at the line up I rate it more like playing with 3 strykers. Also Catania has a very offensive line up with 3 strykers and a not so strong defence.
Torino has a big pressure and need a win while Catania can play relaxed.
No bet on 1x2 but following what I wrote before I think both teams will score. both teams to score small/medium stakes
[b]Atalanta-Parma X2 (1,80 at gamebookers)

Gasbaroni and Budan are not playing because of the injury. For me big handicap. I think that Atalanta will win this, but I'm not sure so i'll probably skipp it, or just small stake.
Torino AC - Catania Calcio
If it wasn't the league standing where Catania is better placed it could have been -0.75 instead of the current -0.5 and we should take advantage of this offer.
Catania's team looks at the recent poor results
Torino on the other side seems to struggle this season despite the valuable squad they have but still they shouldn't have any problem in beating Catania at Stadio Olimpico.
not much agree with you, not talking about the outcome on this match but about some arguments.
really don't think the line would have been -0,75 (or better to say impossible for me) also if the table was different.
Catania defence is a joke, ok, but still they did not played bad lately and they can be very dangerous with their offensive line.
and to say Torino has a valuable squad and that they should not have any problem in beating Catania.....well this is really not true!

It is my rating against yours.I rate Catania as one of the worst 3 teams in league, thus the fair handicap should be -0.75 at least.

I also rate Catania as one of the 3/4 worst teams in the league,
the fact is that in these 3/4 teams is also included Torino.
Roma Udienese
Roma really surprised everyone by going through to the 1/8 of the Champions League having beaten one of the tournament’s favorites Lyon.
It is also a surprise that they allowed themselves to play a draw against Cievo and Ascoli, as a contrast to the excellent match they played in France.
I don’t believe that this success will give the team wings. Roma is team which depends on their mood. In this match I don’t think Roma will even half show what they did in France.
Udinese is a interesting team, plays nicely, and knows how to attack. Obviously this is all thanks to their new head coach.
In this match I see Udinese scoring. As I already wrote, Roma will not be able to motivate themselves for this match as needed and I think that Udinese will give them a hard time with their counter attacks. Also Udinese expect Jaoquinto back in the squad.
Pick: away to score – 1.72
Stake: 3%
Empoli Livorno
Empoli is playing very nicely recently. In the last 5 matches they won four times.
These victories give the administration the right to set new aims, not just a simple survival to stay in Serie A. But for example to gain a UEFA Cup spot.
But for this they need to win maximum amount of points in such matches. The opponent is rather serious, but doesn’t look unbeatable.
Livorno is showing rather poor results lately. This year in the 8 matches they played Livorno has won only once at home against Messina. But the team has showed decent football in their two games against Milan’s clubs.
Empoli is stronger at the moment, and I respect them. The head coach said that the only thing they are thinking about now is the match against Livorno and other matches after that will be dealt with only after this match.
Pick: home handicap (0) – 1.46
Stake: 3%
Inter Milan Milan
Both clubs from Milan played 1/8 Champions League matches during the week. As it was expected Milan went past Celtic but not as easily as one would have thought before the game.
Inter on the other hand could not do anything against Valencia and played an uninspiring goalless draw. Moreover after the match there was a fight between the teams, over which sanctions will be implied.
Now Inter have pretty much nothing to think about for the rest of the season apart from this game and the Final of the Cup of Italy.
I will say straight away that Milan is the favorite for this match. First of all they are in a great mood. And secondly are showing football which is not worse than that of Inter.
And Inter is a reasonable comfortable team for Milan. In contrast to Inter, Milan has aims to achieve in the league. The fight with Lazio and Palermo will not finish until the end of the season. I don’t think that we should take into account Inter’s anger suffered from the Champions League. Milan is their main opponent and a very important match as always. And a loss of confidence has never helped any team in any way.
Pick: x2 – 1.63

Roma - Udinese
Stadio Olimpico
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roma and Udinese meet at the Stadio Olimpico in Week 28 looking to put their stuttering form behind them. The Giallorossi’s recent results have seen them basically hand Inter the title in March, while Udinese are failing to live up to their potential as probable UEFA Cup qualifiers.
Four weeks ago, a few optimists in the capital thought that Roma were still in with a slight chance of taking the Scudetto race down to the wire. However, just one win in their last four League games has allowed the almost unstoppable Nerazzurri to open up a massive 16 point gap at the top of the table.
Nevertheless, it has to be said that their loss at Empoli, as well as draws against Chievo and Ascoli, were all on the road. It’s a completely different scenario at the Stadio Olimpico. Roma have the second best home record in the Division, after Inter, and have won their last eight home League games.
Part of the reason behind their Olimpico fortress status is as a result of their stunning defensive record. In 13 games in the Eternal city, ‘keeper Alexander Doni has conceded just six goals. And with Udinese still without their injured top scorer Vincenzo Iaquinta – 10 goals this term – Roma are going to be tough to break down again, even without the suspended Cristian Chivu.
Boss Luciano Spalletti, coming up against his former club, is expected to field a stronger XI than he started with in the 1-1 at Ascoli. Although the effort they put into their heroic Champions League tie on Tuesday at Lyon may see him forced into a few changes. Gilberto Martinez and Alberto Aquilani are not expected to recover from injury.
Udinese arrive at the Olimpico in disarray and unlikely to mirror last term’s 1-0 win. They are without a victory in five games and haven’t won since the 3-2 at Torino on January 27. The 1-0 home reverse to Empoli last week, which came just three days after their fantastic 1-1 at Inter, left owner Giampaolo Pozzo furious. So much so that he even threatened to send the squad into ritiro until Serie A safety was assured.
Boss Alberto Malesani, who only replaced Giovanni Galeone in January, is already under pressure and is not helped by numerous absences. Defender Marco Motta has still got two games to run on his suspension for elbowing Santiago Solari, while fitness issues will rob Malesani of Dias Felipe, Damiano Zenoni, Tomas Sivok and Paulo Barreto. It’s going to take some performance if Udinese are to collect only their fourth away triumph of the season…
Man on fire: Amantino Mancini (Roma) – His substitute appearance at Ascoli gave his side a new attacking edge and his return to full fitness will be crucial to the Giallorossi this weekend. After all, did you see his goal against Lyon?
Last season: Roma 0-1 Udinese
Form guide: Roma (W L W D D) Udinese (L D D D L)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roma (probable): Doni; Panucci, Mexes, Ferrari, Panucci; De Rossi, Pizarro; Mancini, Perrotta, Taddei; Totti
Udinese (probable): De Sanctis: Coda, Natali, Zapata; Zapotocny, Obodo, Pinzi, Muntari, Dossena; Asamoah, Di Natale
Thanks.so roma should play with their regular lineup.i have roma 1,60 at my local bookie and I think it is worth a shot.
