My Picks at this moment, because all experts are sleepy last time.

Fortuna - RBC 2 If RBC loses, title chanches will be very low.

Volendam - emmen 1 Volendam is getting back to the top of the league. Emmen 1-2 win over telstar, but didnt score three awat matches against rbc go ahead & dordrecht.

Veendam - Omniworld 1 Omniworld only wins against weaker teams. I cant see it changing friday. Also Veendam is too good for struggling omniworld.

Helmond - Graafschap 2 Graafschap is not keeping the matches exciting till the end any more. They now learned to outscore their opponents, after struggling two times against telstar, eindhoven. I think Graafschap is now favorite to win title, but rbc can streak back.

20:00 VV Venlo 2.05 X 3.20 Dordrecht 90 3.10 No bet.
VVV really strong and dordrecht faills to continuing their dream, after an incredible 0-4 loss by denbosch. Both teams will be very motivated, I think VVV can and should win but value is at dordrecht because their good offence.

Also the last matches has the next positive statistics:
Helmond Sport 31% 28% 40% De Graafschap Over
VVV 35% 37% 28% FC Dordrecht Over
FC Volendam 36% 37% 27% FC Emmen Over
Fortuna Sittard 31% 30% 38% RBC Over
BV Veendam 41% 34% 25% FC Omniworld Over

Does anyone have has some value info about these matches, where can be surprises??

As an advice: you're playing the big favourites only, and that's really dangerous in this league. You can be lucky this week, and maybe next week too, but on the long term this really won't work out.

Note that several teams sacked their coach this week (AGOVV, MVV, Cambuur, Helmond).

Furthermore I would recommend Haarlem; the odds are good for a team which is really strong at home, and they're playing the poor travellers from Cambuur who couldn't impress at all last few weeks. Can be dangerous to oppose a team without a manager, but I see no chances for Cambuur here.

In addition to the Dutch second league subject. I've selected tips very early (wedn.) and it looks like that:

Fortuna Sittard - RBC Roosendaal --from1,75 to 1,50 now (ROOS)
Helmond Sport - De Graafschap --from 1,60 to 1,55 now (DE G.)
MVV Maastricht - Agovv Apeldoorn --from 1,75 to 1,70 (MVV)
FC Haarlem - Cambuur Leeuwarden --from 1,95 to 1,85 (HAA)
VV Venlo - FC Dordrecht 90 (Typ)--from 2,00 to 1,90 (VVV)

There are a lot of overs indeed, but much less than most people want us to believe. In general prices are lower than they should be when you take statistical chance into account.

Ruudje, can I ask your opinion on Volendam and De Graafschap? I have a slight dillema, and I'm not sure will Powel be playing for D.G.
Thx in advance.

Hi, I don't have much time so I'll copy and paste the preview I wrote on Punterslounge here. Btw, Powel is playing, no need to worry about him.

Hi, I don't have much time for write-ups today. i do want to give some information. First of all it's important to note that no less than 5 (!) teams ditched their coach in the last 7 days. First to go was Jan van Dijk one day before the match against MVV last week. On Saturday (a day after their suprising win at Go Ahead) coach Vanenburg was sacked at Helmond Sport. Like always the reason given was 'bad results' and 'no confidence'. A bit strange it happened one day after an away victory. On Monday Koolhof (MVV) and Wesseling (Cambuur) were asked to leave immediately. Wessling had already announced he would leave the club in the summer, Koolhof had still believed he would coach the team next year (how ignorant can you be?). Finally, I think it was on Wednesday, Coolen left AGOVV. He had also announced he would leave this summer, but decided to go earlier.

All these coaches leaving might or might not have an impact on teams. Difficult to say, but just be aware.

It's starting to be the time of year again where some teams really need to win whereas others have nothing to play for. Therefore Zwolle seem to be a good bet. Their opponents Telstar are the worst team in this period (and also in last 10 matches). They seem to have given up. Zwolle fight for their last chance of making it to the play-offs. To get there they need to win the 5th period and with a win tonight chances would stay intact.

Zwolle @ 1.83 on Betfair

Volendam and Veendam are in a simular situation as Zwolle, but both play very unpredictable teams. Veendam are strong at home, but face tough opposition. Omniworld have showed they can play some decent football home and away and can surprise any team. 1.59 on Betfair isn't a good price either

no bet for me.

More likely would be a win of Volendam at home against Emmen. Volendam are a force at home, but Emmen has a decent record in away games. Maybe the departure of coach van Dijk will have an effect on Emmen this week. Volendam should win this though (they will probably need to finish 5th in the table to get to the play-offs) and although I am not totally confident I will back them small.

Volendam @ 1.76 on Betfair

Both most important title contenders have away games. RBC at Fortuna, De Graafschap at Helmond Sport. De Graafschap beat Fortuna last week without too many problems and i expect RBC to do the same today. Like I mentioned last week Fortuna are not very good when they play the big teams. I don't know if it's because they are impressed by them or just a lack of quality, but they haven't recorded a single decent result against the top teams (well ok, a draw at Veendam). RBC need the points and should be to much for Fortuna.

RBC @ 1.64 on Betfair

De Graafschap is a different story. They seem to be the easiest pick of the week and that's something that's bothering me. Coach De Jonge said he has been warning the team all week not to underestimate Helmond Sport, because they are better than their currrent position suggests. Well, I've said that all the time, until I gave up on them last week. And you guessed it, now all of a sudden they won. I don't know which effect this will have on them or which effect the departure of their coach will have. All in all it should be a win for De Graafschap, but I don't feel confident.

No bet

Exactly, ruudje: In the last 3 years for example "only" 56,7% of the matches ended in an Over. Solid, but topped by divisions as Switzerland 1, Northern Ireland, Norway Division 1, Japan, Singapore and even Iceland. In most weeks there are still some nice Over bets available, but there are even better leagues for that.

Helmond - Graafshap Over 2.5

Zwolle - Telstar Over 2.5

I've noticed that Dutch second division is safer to bet OVER instead of picking a team ..... :o

Hy guis, for this evening I'll take a double Roosendaal + De Grafschap because they must win to continue their battle at the topo of the league

I think that Top oss - Go Ahead is a good over and and I take it together with the under in Harlem - Cambuur.

hi guys,

I'm in desperate need of help; the rules are a little bit complicated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, there will be 6 period winners (the results of round 37 and 38 don't count?). How many of them will qualify for the playoffs and which teams will gain promotion?
Also, what if one side wins more than one period?

Thanx!
