Mate, people like you should be banned from this forum, cause the only thing you're capable of, is asking dumb "any opinions and news about this or that?" questions. That's really getin' on my bloody nerves and I'm 100% sure i"m not the only one. Either try to provide us some useful informations, or at least some well argumented thoughts about the game, or "pack your stuff" and get the f... out of here.
PS. I'm fully aware, that this sort of post can even cost me with a lifetime old heaveho from this forum, but this "Any opinions and news about Porto?" to me is simply like a red rag to a bull. Good night mates.

What about Pacos - Sporting , i read somewhere Pacos lost
4 first class players last winter break .
However after the lost from Porto to Amadora the championship
is again wide open , so Sporting will be motivated to hunt Porto .
I guess they have the strength in the team to give Pacos the
first lose at home this year , i cant believe they will keep
a clean sheet at home this whole season
some opinions about this game?
Paços is a tough nut to crack and I can recall sporting loosing there 3-0 when they were also going through a really good phase.
The pitch is rather small and my bet is that it will be muddy mainly in the GK's area and midfield wich will be one of Paço's weapons to slow down the tempo of the game.

FC Porto v Naval
My Pick : Home Win 10/10
Porto comes from their second consecutive defeat at home. As matter of fact, the Dragons are coming from 3 defeats from their last 4 matches. Last Saturday, Porto entered the match with will, but without some important players upfront. As time went by, the players got more and more nervous, and ended up loosing after a suffering a goal from a counter attack on added time. For this Friday, coach Jesualdo Ferreira welcomes back central defender Pepe from suspension, but winger Quaresma is still unavailable suspended. The good news is the total adapting of new signing Renteria to the club, which should give him an oportunity on the squad for this match. Striker Adriano is back in the squad after a few weeks absence, but on the opposite directon, defender Mareque and winger Vieirinha have been left out due to their poor performances.
Naval showed, once again offensive problems, they fought bravely on the midfield area, but barely created any major chances to score. Furthermore some spaces conceded at the back, gave away a goal, and the men from Figueira da Foz never seemed like they could get back in the match. The final 0-1 defeat was a big disapointment in the regional derby. For this visit to the Dragão, coach Mariano Barreto will be without injured trio Wilson Junior, Solimar and Elivelton. However, central defender Orestes returns from suspension, while Paulão and Pedro Santos are back from injury.
Probable Line-ups :
FC Porto : Helton; Bosingwa, Fucile, Bruno Alves, Pepe; Paulo Assunção, Lucho, Meireles, Lisandro, Postiga, Alan
Naval : Taborda; Mario Sergio, Paulao, Fernando, China; Orestes, Gilmar, Joao Ribeiro, Fajardo, Lito; Nei
This should be a one way traffic match, with the hosts all over Naval. Coming from such negative results, but with the last weekend off, the Dragons will be hungry to clean the poor image left in the last matches. The opponent is very good to do so, because, despite having a very good defensive organization, Naval is a very poor team playing on the counter attack. All in all, I can only see Porto winning, as they surely won't fail again. The handicap could be a dangerous option, given Porto has a decisive 1st leg match for the Champions League next Wednesday.

PORTUGAL - LIGA BWIN
FC Porto vs Naval - 21h30
Pick: Naval to score- NO @ 1.70 bwin
FC Porto, 1st with 40 pts
Naval, 8th with 24 pts
As known, Porto comes from 2 consecutive defeats, not a very normal situation. Both by the minimum difference. By 1-0 with Leiria and 0-1 at home against Est.Amadora.
So, this game again at home is even more important, because a new defeat could mean Sporting and Benfica coming closer, something that won't let Porto supporters very happy.
If we analyze Porto at home, we see that they only suffered 5 goals, being the 2nd best defense at home, only Benfica is better, with just 3 goals. That's an average of 0.62 suffered goals/game.
Porto has also the 2nd best home attack, with 19 goals. Again, only Benfica is better, with 20. This means that most games only have one way....their opponents goal!
Pepe also returns to the defense, wich means more stability, because, in my opinion, Pepe is Porto's best defender and most likely the best central defender in Portugal.
Naval is doing an interesting season, they only lost one time on an away game, against D.Aves. They have 8 goals scored, wich gives them an average of 1 away goal/game.
In my opinion Naval is now on not so good shape, being eliminated in the Portuguese Cup at home by Bragança, a modest team from the 2nd Divison B.
I think that Porto's failing margin is very small for this game, a new failure can bring bad consequences, so, not suffering goals is very important here, because Porto won't be looking for anything else than a victory.
I can't see in Naval team, the offensive capacity to make things hard for Porto, and with Pepe's return, i can't see Helton suffering any goal.
I remind that in the 1st turn, Porto won 0-2, in one of the worst games i saw this season.

Paços de Ferreira-Sporting
Pick:Sporting 1.80 6/10 10bet
Paços have lost some players in winter break.even so they have surprice everyone two weeks ago with a very good match and a victory against Braga, but Sporting is in great form and playing very well,it´s going to be a hard game because Paços don´t lost at home about 1 year ,but Sporting will have many supporters in Paços stadium, and a victory is the least they can do.
Can you name the players from Paços de Ferreira they lost in winter break ?
And how important they are to the squad ?
Many thanks...

Paços Ferreira v Sporting
Paços went to the Madeira to grab a precious away draw against rival competitor in the league table, Maritimo. Despite being behind on the score, the fact is that Paços lifted their head and went searching for the draw, which they grabbed with a couple of minutes to play, trough a long range effort from goalscoring central defender Luiz Carlos. The 1-1 outcome was a reward for their courage and will to come back from a negative result. Hosting Sporting, coach José Mota will be without important midfielder Pedrinha, suspended, while João Paulo and Cristiano are both doubtful, but they are both recoverable for Saturday's match. Furthermore, new signing Ricardinho should be on the starting eleven after the arrival of his international certificate.
Sporting had an ackward match last Saturday. They entered the match very poorly, and found themselves trailing by 0-1. Late in the second half, after a penalty missed, out of form striker Carlos Bueno went on as a sub, and scored 4 goals in only 15 minutes, that put togheter with one more goal from Liedson, gave Sporting a crushing, but deceiving 5-1 win over a regular Nacional team.
Historically, Sporting always has problems to win at the Mata Real. This year, I think they have a good chance to get a positive result. The team seems moralized, especially after returning to second place, and cutting back the distance to leaders Porto. On the other hand, Paços is a very strong team at home, they are still undefeated with a 5-4-0 home record. José Mota's boys seem in good shape an this will be a very complicated match for the Lions, that should, however, be taken as favourites to win this one. It should be a tight match, with lot of battling in midfield, and with Paços trying to get something on the counter attack. All in all, it is a highly unpredictable match, which I advise to skip.

From stats we can see that both teams suck big time. :D I really can't understand how a team has 3-2-4 at home and away they are better! with 4-1-4.. i hate such teams.
Some people say that Belenenses has a motivation here because if they win they will be 6th, just 1 point behind the UEFA places. But, I really doubt that their aim this year is to go to UEFA Cup.
Uefa should refuse them playing even in Intertoto!
Academica is just 3 points above the relegation zone. They have just 1 win away rom home and it was made recently, in their last away game to Laval, where they won 1-0.
Before that win, they had 5 straight loses yes, but if u check the teams they played, u can say that they were 'normal' loses..
They faced big teams like Benfica, Sporting and Braga..
28 Jan 07 h Vit Setubal 0 - 1 L
15 Jan 07 h Benfica 0 - 2 L
16 Dec 06 a Sporting CP 1 - 0 L
10 Dec 06 h Maritimo 1 - 2 L
3 Dec 06 a Braga 4 - 2 L
So, we can't say that they are in bad form, can we?
I really dislike Belenenses, and such eams in general, which always just defend nd try to score by counters wherever and whenever and whichever they play! They play with the same way against Porto, Naval or Aves! Defense and only and try for counterattacks.
I really refuse to see this team in Uefa Cup! I smell sth for the visitors here.
I just found that guests have some line up problems tonight. Barbosa and Nuno Louis are out injured (long), Pavlovic, Zoeano, Miguel and Medairos (?) will not play, while Belenenses will not have theirforward Garces (?).
Can our port friends tell us sth for these players? Are these absences important for the guests?
History show that the games btw them were always close and tough + lowscoring. Table agrees with this.. :)
Anyway, normally I wouldn't even look the stats for this game, but since there are just 3-4 games tonight, I will just pick the UNDER option, just for fun.
Its always fun when u lose money! :D
