My early thoughts is a straight Haarlem win.
AGOVV's top scorer McDonald is sold to West Brombich Albion. My God who can make the goals now for AGOVV
Maybe good to follow WBA next weeks for the over 2,5 's ( ! )
Odd 1,60 or 1,70 for Home Win reasonable , i qualify this game even as a under 2,5 ( 2,00 )
I expect further a lot of goals in Go Ahead vs den Bosch game, so over 2,5 here ( 1,75 )
Maybey the experienced guys have a look for other games , please let's here from you.

McDonald is a big loss for AGOVV, but I doubt he will make a huge impact in Championship, because WBA has already a great attack, with Kevin Philips, Kamara and Hartson.
Any opinions about Roosendaal and De Graafschap?

MacDonald should be happy if he is allowed to play a few minutes this season for WBA. And MacDonald was already sold before the match against Dordrecht, so it's not the first match without him. I wouldn't overrate him, but offensively AGOVV is weak now indeed. Still odds on Haarlem don't seem interesting to me, this is not a team that can easily beat an opponent, they have also quite big problems to score goals.
Can Dordrecht beat helmond?Velno HW?
Venlo need 3 points here, Zwolle is bad team away, this should be HW i think. What about DE GRAAFSCHAP-FC EINDHOVEN over 3 and ROOSENDAAL-OMNIWORLD over 3 ?

Jupiler League Friday February 2nd
RBC Roosendaal – FC Omniworld
RBC Roosendaal narrowed the gap with leader De Graafschap last week from 3 points to 1 point. Maybe another impulse in the race for the title, especially because they crushed FC Emmen with 5-0. They’ll play again at home this week, this time against FC Omniworld, who lost against VVV-Venlo with 2-3 after a 2-0 lead at half time. RBC Roosendaal is really strong at home, FC Omniworld not so strong away. RBC Roosendaal won the away game earlier this season with 1-4. But it must be said that FC Omniworld got better during the season.
Then team news. Ten Heuvel will still be absent, just like against FC Emmen. De Lange just obtained a place in the starting line-up and scored the first goal against FC Emmen, but will miss this game due to a knee-injury. Also long-term injuries Molenaar and Denissen will miss this game. But Jungschläger will be back again after being rested last week. RBC Roosendaal will still be able to field a strong line-up, certainly more quality then FC Omniworld will have. So I see nothing else then a home win here. And although the odds are not high, it sure seems like a banker. Also HT/FT 1/1 can be a good bet here

VVV-Venlo – FC Zwolle
For this match more or less the same goes as for RBC Roosendaal – FC Omniworld. VVV-Venlo always really strong at home and FC Zwolle weak in away games. This also has to do with VVV striker Dirk-Jan Derksen. He scores by far the most of his goal in home matches, although the scored once in the spectacular 2-3 win away against FC Omniworld. FC Zwolle got a 4-1 home win against FC Eindhoven, after being 0-1 down. But FC Eindhoven was heavily weakened, so not a magical result here.
The only thing that makes me doubt about betting on the home team is that they sometimes pull an unexpected and negative result. They also miss 2 defenders due to suspensions, namely van Kouwen and Ammi. Fleuren will be back again after one game suspension.
FC Zwolle has no suspensions, but they do have 3 injuries, namely Oravainen, Rossen and Bijl.
Expect that VVV-Venlo will win, but because of a possible upset, just medium stakes.

MVV – Stormvogels/Telstar
MVV is not doing to well lately. The got a point last week away against Fortuna Sittard, but only had one real chance during the whole match and did not deserve that point. This bet is most of all based on the fact that Stormvogels/Telstar will be weakened, not that MVV will be so strong. Telstar has 7 injury worries; most important are those of their two strikers, Holwijn and Bossman. These 2 are uncertain at the moment, but even if they’ll play, they’ll never be top fit. These 2 strikers are quite fast and would be able to cause the defense of MVV some problems. The other striker, Bruin, is a lot slower, but a good header. This striker would be easier to defend for MVV. So only small/medium stakes on this one
Pick: MVV

Helmond Sport – FC Dordrecht
Helmond Sport has started to pick up points after the winter break. The got twice a point in the home matches against VVV-Venlo and FC Volendam. FC Dordrecht at the other hand is doing great again, with already 5 victories in a row, with away wins against FC Volendam and FC Eindhoven.
FC Dordrecht’s striker Cecilio Lopez has been sold to SC Heerenveen. As replacements for him, they bought Putter and van der Velden from RKC Waalwijk. Putter will probably play up front against Helmond Sport together with Mahamadu. FC Dordrecht will only miss defender Breinburg, who will be the new captain in the future since old captain Lopez left. Vice-captain Seqeuira will be the captain in the match against Helmond Sport.
I expect that FC Dordrecht will continue the winning streak and that Helmond Sport will lose again after the 2 draws of the past weeks, just because FC Dordrecht is to good and has to much spirit to be stoped. And the new signings will want to prove themselves.
Pick: FC Dordrecht
Stake: 07/10

Other picks
HFC Haarlem – AGOVV Apeldoorn
AGOVV Apeldoorn is a lot weaker without striker MacDonald and also is very bad in away games. HFC Haarlem has some new players, among who a talent from the Ajax youth, and should be able to overcome the past 2 loses against Ajax and FC Den Bosch and beat AGOVV Apeldoorn at home

Hi Sander, could you share your opinion for TOP Oss v BV Veendam. I see it's no bet game for you, but why? In my opinion they are too strong for TOP Oss. They won their last away game, particularly they won all 3 games in 2007. In these games they scored 8 goals and conceded only 1 and made 2 clean net. This season in away games they manage to win 3 games, but they lost only 3 games (take a look at losses, only 2 top teams made it better). They have sold Marnix Kolder (15 goals), but they have shown that can managed with his absent. They have scored 8 goals in last 3 games without him.
TOP Oss made some purchases from Eredevice clubs in the transfer window. I don't know how good they are and can they quick adapt to their new teammates. In last 3 games their results are 1 draw and 2 losses, scored 5 and conceded 9 goals, have no clean nets. I see they have good home record: W6 D3 L3. It must be said that they have conceded too many goals in front of their fans (25 goals in 12 home games, 3rd worst record).
All in all I considered away win in AH level-ball as a good chance to earn some money.

Need Translation about news on barry Powell
It's old news, but today will be Powel's last match ban.

Agree with you mate to pick here the AW! Veendem are playing very good after the holidays and they have start the 4th period with a win. Considering the fact, that this period they have not so strong opponents to play with (except Roosendaal), I see them with a big motivation to grab the 3 points from a team, against who they have a pretty solid h2h ballance:
2006-09-29 BV Veendam 2-0 TOP Oss
2005-12-16 TOP Oss 0-2 BV Veendam
2005-08-19 BV Veendam 0-0 TOP Oss
2005-03-21 TOP Oss 2-0 BV Veendam
2004-10-15 BV Veendam 3-0 TOP Oss
2004-04-09 BV Veendam 1-1 TOP Oss
2003-10-17 TOP Oss 1-3 BV Veendam
2003-02-07 TOP Oss 0-0 BV Veendam
2002-08-23 BV Veendam 4-0 TOP Oss
2002-03-22 TOP Oss 1-5 BV Veendam
2001-10-27 BV Veendam 6-1 TOP Oss
2001-05-26 BV Veendam 2-4 TOP Oss
2000-10-28 TOP Oss 1-2 BV Veendam
So, i see great value to put some money on Veendam to win @ 2.35!
p.s. MVV to win looks also tempting ;)
good luck
cheers
Can smb tell, why odds on HW between Venlo and FC Zwolle are going up (at Betfair)? Thanks.

Well, if you look at the stats, you can see that both teams are real "home teams". Veendam obtained 26 of their 41 total points at home and TOP Oss got 21 of their 26 points at home. Veendam away is 3-6-3 and TOP Oss at home 6-3-3.
Veendam indeed has good results last weeks, but wins against FC Zwolle and Helmond Sport are not that special, because these teams are not strong. Their win against Go Ahead Eagles was a good one, but then again, they played at home in that game.
TOP Oss at the other hand got only 1 point out of their last 3 games. But they took the lead in all 3 games. Against FC Dordrecht they had a 1-0 lead until the 75th minute. The lost 4-1 in the end, but after 2-1, they gave up hope and got 2 more in. Against Stormvogels/Telstar, the took a 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 lead, but every time, Telstar got back in it. And against Emmen, Emmen scored just before half time and in injury time of the 2nd half, leaving TOP Oss with no points.
Think this game could result in everything. If I had to make a bet on this game, it would be the draw
Will Berry Powel play for De Graafschap tonight?

Well, I just watched the local sportsnews and also checked the website and fansite of VVV-Venlo and cannot find any news that would explain the raise of the VVV-Venlo odd. Maybe people just thought the odd was to low or that there was a gap in the market.
Only thing is that Ammi and v. Kouwen will be suspended, but this is nothing new. Verdellen will play right-back and Kahya will play central in defense, together with new signing Reekers
Opstelling VVV: Baart, Verdellen, Reekers, Kahya, Fleuren, Linssen, Janssen, Buikema, Ofrany, Derksen, Soltani.
Thank you very much Sander.
Right now (when I read your answer) I have some doubts with my early minds about this game. I see TOP Oss have enough power to score. As you said they took the lead against strong and in form FC Dordrecht and kept until 75 min but I still think they have lack of quality in defence. BV Veendam can destroy their defence again!? I can't decide!? Maybe this time TOP Oss can manage to keep leading, if they can score first in the game? H-m-m...
Maybe I must concentrate into other games. I intend to take this triple:
MVV Maastricht: 1X - 1.30
De Graafschap: 1 - 1.22
Roosendaal: 1 - 1.25
1.98, stake 6/10, Expekt
Any away, thanks again and GL.

De Graafschap v FC Eindhoven
The home side are the team to catch in the league and are the most consistent by far. Last weeks draw at Telstar was the first time in 11 games they'd failed to win a league game, such has been their prowess. Tonight provides an excellent chance for them to win again ast strugglers Eindhoven visit them Eindhoven are an infuriating side that on occasions can cause the odd shock result but I can't see it here. De Graafschap should prove too strong and I back them to cover the handicap.

Haarlem v AGOVV
Haarlem's hopes of a home win are boosted by the fact that the visitors sold their major goal threat during the transfer window in Sherjill MacDonald to West Brom. Haarlem need to start converting home games into wins as they've drawn too many so far for their liking with 6 wins and 6 draws. Their last home effort was a fine result with them holding RBC to a draw. Anything near that effort tonight should enable them to see of a struggling AGOVV who've gone 6 games without a win.

Top OSS v Veendam
Quite fancy a slight upset here tonight. Veendam are going great guns in 6th place but they've been ordinary away from home. Top OSS have been solid at home with 6 wins to their name including a fine 4-2 win over leaders De Graafschap. Everything points here to an away win, H2H, recent form but I just believe the Top Oss side are going to be up for this one. I expect goals so the overs looks a solid bet and hopefully a home win at a nice price too.

Volendam v Fortuna Sittard
This should turn out to be a regulation home win on Volendams artificial pitch. Only Dordrecht have come here and taken all 3 pts and Fortuna are not in their class by a country mile. They've struggled again this season and have just the 2 wins on the road. Volendam have won the last 5 meetings and should comfortably make it 6 tonight.

VVV v FC Zwolle
FC Zwolle have been very average this term which must be annoying to their fans when they see how much progress their rivals the Eagles have made this term. VVV have an outstanding record in Venlo with 9 wins and 3 draws from their 12 outings and that should be 10 wins tonight. Zwolle only wins on the road have come at Cambuur and the bottom side Eindhoven. VVV have only lost 1 of their last 9 games and I can't see that being added to tonight. Home win.
VVV @ 1.71 betfair
MVV v Telstar
In general I don’t like to bet on my own team, but today I’ll make an exception. MVV have not had the results they want this season. Some hard words have been spoken and new signings have been made. The club is ready to make a new start now and the team is up for it. MVV have the second highest attendances in the league (De Graafschap is top), which is quite surprising if you look at MVV’s table ranking. It shows how much fans want to see the club do well. Today new striker Daniel Gomez from Metz will make his debut and he might give the offensive play a lift. MVV create quite a few chances in home matches, but have a lot of problems in finishing them off. Telstar have quite a few injury worries: Striking partners Richmond Bossman and Melvin Holwijn (together they scored 23 of 45 goals) are both doubtful, with Bossman more likely to play than Holwijn. Despite not winning Telstar have performed quite admirably recently with home draws against De Graafschap and Go Ahead, but with their pacy strikers not 100% fit I expect Telstar to have problems to get a result. Earlier this season MVV and Telstar met in Maastricht for the Dutch cup and this match was won 3-1 by MVV quite easily.
All in all it’s not a banker of course, but at a price of 2.34 on Betfair I’m willing to pick MVV
VVV v Zwolle
Looking at prices it seems like price for a VVV-win is going up. Let’s wait and see, but I expect VVV to win it. VVV will have to do without suspended defenders Ammi and Van Kouwen. Especially Van Kouwen is very important in organising their defence. On the positive VVV’s new signing Peter Reekers (from Heracles) will make his debut and will play in central defence together with Kahya. It’s a risk of course, because they haven’t played together yet, but I think it should work out fine in this home match. Coach Wetzel said on TV last night they will have to take three points and then focus on the big home match against RBC next week. Looking at VVV’s home record (10-3-0) and knowing how focussed they are on keeping up with RBC and De Graafschap, I expect them to win. Zwolle finally managed to get a victory last weekend (against lowly Eindhoven) after 5 matches without a win. In away games Zwolle are pretty dire: 1 away win in last 10 matches. Zwolle don’t have to make any changes after their win against Eindhoven, but I am afraid their team won’t be good enough to keep off VVV.
VVV @ 1.72 on Betfair
Volendam v Fortuna Sittard
Volendam started the 5th period with a draw at Helmond Sport, not very impressive, but the club is also still in the running for a play-off through a good league ranking. However, a win is a must today if they want to keep up the pressure on the other teams. Luckily Volendam play on their artificial pitch today where they have a very good home record (9-3-1). Tonight winger Bernard Hofstede will make his debut for the club. He didn’t succeed at Heracles (injuries played a role), but he could be a very good buy for Volendam. Fortuna are getting slowly getting better results. The new players they bought are doing surprisingly well (Cornelia up front and Heinrichs in midfield), but still the team is not very impressive. Tonight they will be without injured Nigerian striker Wasiu Taiwo, who is quite important to them. Right back Serdal Guvenc will also miss this match through injury. All in all it’s a match you would expect Volendam to win.
