Pick N1!
*Cagliari v Messina, Home HT/FT (1/1) 2,80 BETANDWIN

There is no doubt about Cagliaris intentions this season. They have oldie-goldie Zola in their ranks and very good players like Maccelarri, Suazo, Festa and others...
They found their form finally, as they can show a terrific 4-2-0 form (their last match was 5-1 win against Atalanta!!). They are also 9-4-1 home might.
On the other side, we have a typical home team, Messina (8-7-0 at home and 3-5-6 away) and they only got one point from their last three travels!!

For those, who are not risky- oriented, I prefer FT home win, but I will take 1/1, since I expect attack from the first minute on!! 7/10
Good luck!!

Bet lost! Red card for Cagliari goalkeeper and Messina scored next minute...

I haven't been for a while in this competition,so I'd better start with a good one for my 1 st POD :D

Napoli-Triestina pick Home win 2,05 @William Hill
BET LOST - 0:0 Tomor

Napoli 17th place,35pts,6w-17d-6l,goal diff:-6

Triestina: 8th place,41pts,10w-11d-8l,goal diff:+1

Well, this is going to be a hard match, certanly not good to watch!
Why have I chosen Napoli then?Instead of let's say draw?
Because Gigi Simoni has finaly found the way to sort this Napoli well, they haven't lost in last 4 games!
In fact, last loss was against Como away more than month ago, from then they won against Messina (home 1-0),Piacenza (3-2,away),Avellino (1-0,home) and drew at Ascoli in hot derby last round 1-1,having some nice opportunity to win the game!

As I was saying, they are finaly in possitive mood, knowing that they can turn their luck arround.
For the first time they are 5 pts above relegation zone and I hope that they won't blow this one!

Triestina is a solid backbone team which scores mostly from counterattacks, they are patient team waiting for opponnent to make a mistake. They never play open football, they are hiding and when given chance they strike!

But not this time, everything is in hands of Napoli player's,they will control they game and the question is can they be calm to finish the game with a win!
So Triestina's boring cattenaccio against usually nervous Napoli, what it will be?
I vote for (I hope now) cooler Napoli, team which found out after long time (I can't remember when they done it last time) a taste of winning 10 pts of possible 12!¨

Go Napoli!

D. Ferrer v J. I. Chela - 2.7 @ Pinnacle (http://www.pinnaclesports.com)
PICK LOST Tomor

H2H:

Last week: Salvador (BRA), Clay, Juan Ignacio Chela def. David Ferrer - 2:0 [6:2 | 6:4] @ Second Round

Not looking on that the meeting of these two tennis players last week has ended for the benefit of arg., I today have decided to play a victory of the player of Spain. I think, that Ferrer can quite change the recent offender. He quite is able to do it, though and on a class of game it is potentially a little weaker. I hope, that he will want to take revenge and will use the best efforts for this purpose. The Clay-surface is native for both players and there any result is possible, very much depends on the form of players. Besides Chela is very unstable (I do not like to pick on it) and frequently is not predicted loses to weak opponents. To put it briefly, 2.7 very good value.

Balestrier is a little big more stronger. It is the beginning of the championship, so the enthousiam will be here.

PICK LOST - 4:3 Tomor

OK , nobody took it , so , i can write prediction now :

This is one of the last rounds of Russian superleage. Only 8 teams will go to play-off after it , but this teams havn't any good chance to do it. Their currectly standings for this moments are :
11. CSKA 56 18 4 6 0 28 111 - 141 68
12. SKA 55 16 3 10 3 23 115 - 134 67
And on the 8th place is :
8. Neftekhimik 55 26 2 5 1 21 128 - 117 88

As , you can see , besides them almost 20 points , so , it's not real to go to play-off for those teams. If they will not go to play-off , then other question for them , don't go to 1st leage , they need to be over that 14th place in this championship. It's their main plan for this time. That's why , i think , that both teams will afree on draw in this game. So , my pick is X(60 min.)

My pick of the day:
Livorno - Ascoli 1, (1.75@William Hill)
PICK WON - 1:0 Tomor

Livorno are currently at 7th place with 44 points and they still have a chance for promotion to Serie A. At home they have good 7-7-1 (21-8).
Ascoli are at 15th place with 35 points and on the road they have 2-7-6 (15-23). At the moment Ascoli plays poor football and only got a 1-1 draw at home last round aganst Napoli. Livorno on the other hand got a long awaited win away against Salernitana. Livorno's Protti will most likely play today, he was rested last match. It's a while since Ascoli got a win and I don't think they will get it today. At the moment I feel there's difference in the class of these two teams and also Ascoli will rest some players to their next match which will be played on monday against Bari. The Bari match is more important for Ascoli, if they lose against Bari, Ascoli's chances to avoid relegation will be smaller.

I don't think Ascoli will have much chances to get a good result here, so homewin for me.

Napoli is the most boring team that you can watch playing football in Serie B. They take care the defence too much and wait for the right time to come in order to attack. If you take a look at all the matches this year there were more than 90% less than 2 goals scored in every one of them. Coach Gigi Simoni brought back the famous "Catenacio" the destroying football and it seems to bring results for the historic club of Naples.

Result:
82-75 WON

===========================================
REASONS

This is a risky one since all teams are equal but if Pao wants to have a chance qualifying then they should not lose at home.Benetton is an excellent team but they will face a full PAO squad-a full stadium and a team that had some time to rest…The italian team has to lose someday and IMO they will tonight by a very motivated PAO…

Good Luck with your choice!!

And Panathinaikos lost last game in euroleague against Unicaja:

I was not important game for Unicaja and very very important game for PAO but they lost...
IMO Benetton is the best team in this group and I think they will play in final 4. So I see value @2.00

Wow, you copied your analysis from http://www.onthepunt.com.au/tennisselections.php , didn't you?

Hey man, borrowing inspiration or words from other picks on the net isn't prohibited - stealing or linking to other predictions is. In this case CAPTIAN has written a big load of statistics to elaborate his pick, and added a sentence from this place. So this is nothing to bother about - had CAPITAN copy/pasted the entire analysis then he would have been kicked from the competition - or possibly gotten of with a warning. Still, I appreciate that you keep your eyes open. /Per

Pick of the day 4.3.:

Fribourg - Lugano 2 odds 1.80 William Hill
PICK WON - 2:4 Tomor

2nd match in 1/8 play off in Swiss ice hockey league
Lugano is perfect 6-0-0 in its last 6 matches, won regular part of league season and won easily 1st match on Tuesday 7-2. For more won all 4 matches with Fribourg this season. Fribourg plays slightly better away than at home and is only mediocre team with poor balance from last three home matches.

Trotting in Sweden, Örebro Race 7, 20:15 tonight head2head

Titan Ås-Confess Arnie 1@1,70 with Centrebet. Bet won

Titan Ås is a fast horse, and by far the biggest favourite in this race.
Both horses has got about equal times, but Confess Arnie hasn't raced since November so there's no real clear indication of form.
What is interesting is the fact that Titan Ås starts in track 3 and Confess Arnie in track 7. Also Origo Giant in track 2 is a horse that really likes to have someone else in front of him so he wont challenge for the lead, which overall seems destined for Titan Ås.
This essentially means that the "best" place for Confess Arnie to end up in, and probably the most probable one, is outside the leader, or one horse behind on the outside track. Perhaps not that big of a deal, but it does mean he'll have to race 60 yards longer then Titan Ås to make it first across the finishline and that is a big difference in the end.
There's also two good horses inside Confess Arnie that will make it even harder for Åke Lindblom to get in close to Titan Ås. Out of several interesting matchups today I'll pick this one.

2nd POD;

J.P. Montoya v R. Schumacher;
Take MONTOYA to win the H2H vs RALF to reach POLE POSITION @1.80 @GB

PS;
This pick counts for today i guess , like NBA MATCHES starting at the same time !!!

MONTOYA is this years biggest favouritte to win the championship. MC LAREN have still problems. Ferrari doing good. But SCHUMI to get it again is not so easy.

RALF's morale is not good. His leaving his team or not is a big question and not important what the team directors and he says... My opinion is that he would love to leave...

As i took MONTOYA to get the POLE POSITION as my real bet will i take MONTOYA vs RALF for the comp...

The other good bet looks like

ALONSO vs TRULLI @1.80 and BUTTON vs SATO @1.50

POD #1

Swiss Cup:
Sankt Gallen - Wil (0:0)
Pick: Home @ 1.50
Bookmaker: Interwetten
Result: 1:2
PICK LOST Tomor

OK... Sankt Gallen have not been doing well at the end of their autumn and also the begining of spring and they are currently with 6 consecutive losses (mostly to the top teams in Nationalliga). However, they have shown a little positive changes in their recent away match against Grasshoppers... and with their much hardwork to this semifinal... they will not be able to afford any defensive mistake... at all.

Meanwhile, Wil have a nice memory of defeating Sankt Gallen 2-0 in their previous meeting (a home match to be exact)... and they have improved ever since after the winter break. However, they still lack of consistency... and strictly speaking, I do not see them going into the final... especially when they have quite a weak offense... but some superb defense lately.

Last night, the Grasshoppers match was an 11 goals thriller... and I doubt this will be less much interesting but maybe a lot lesser goals. Given their inconsistency, I believe Wil will have a tough match at hand... hence, Sankt Gallen (with their tremendous fighting spirit) against all odds should be able to this match to a draw... if not a win. Good Luck!!!

LIVORNO - ASCOLI 0:3/4 (ah) 1 (1.87 @ pointbet)

I think that during the winter market Ascoli have sell their 2-3 best players and thair play has been changed a lot. At the other hand Livorno is one of the candidate for enter to the serie A. At home thay haven't win since 25.01.2004. Due to me this is an important match for Livorno.

Philadephia 76ers(+7) : Sacramento Kings(-7) 1 at 1,917 at Pinnacle
PICK LOST - 105:114 Tomor

I was too late to pick Miami win because as I saw it ws already taken so I've decided too take this one.I don't like Kings palying on tour because they are loosing for example two from three match abroad and that's the main reason why I picked it.I now that last few weeks have been fantastic for them because they won 9 out of ten road matches but I'am sure that even if they win the result will be close so I think that such a handicap can work. All of recent matches heve been close.
GOOD LUCK

Sorry for the bet before but I haven't see very well the rules.

Now i write an other bet.

Pescara - Palermo 0:0 away 1.75 @ interwetten
PICK WON - 0:2 ...but you should write more arguments next time. Tomor

Ok. Palermo away haven't win since 09/11/03 and i think has arrived time to win for them. They come from home win match with Torino and their moral is high. At the other hand Pescara is a avarage team that are fighting to stay in Serie B, and for this match miss 2 regular players.

Hi guys! Yesterday I had my first succesfull start to our competition, so I am 1/1 so far and it feels good. So today I saw alot of good picks are taken already (like Bucks, Livorno, St. Louis / Edmonton OVER / I especially liked this one). That's why I'll try something similar,

Cause I still haven't got any reply I-ll write my analysis and hope it's a valid pick.

Well as I said before I liked the OVER in this game very much, since there were 18 goals scored in first two match-ups between the teams. Edmonton scored 5 and 4 and I think tonight won't be any different. Edmonton is in good form at the moment and they're also scoring quite alot of goals:

03 Mar 04 PHX Coyotes v EDM Oilers 4:5
29 Feb 04 EDM Oilers v DAL Stars 4:5
28 Feb 04 EDM Oilers v PHX Coyotes 7:2
26 Feb 04 EDM Oilers v ANA Mighty Ducks 2:4
22 Feb 04 VAN Canucks v EDM Oilers 3:4
19 Feb 04 EDM Oilers v COL Avalanche 5:1
17 Feb 04 EDM Oilers v DET Red Wings 1:2
12 Feb 04 ATL Thrashers v EDM Oilers 1:5
05 Feb 04 STL Blues v EDM Oilers 3:5
03 Feb 04 ANA Mighty Ducks v EDM Oilers 1:2
01 Feb 04 LA Kings v EDM Oilers 4:3
30 Jan 04 CHI Blackhawks v EDM Oilers 2:5

So they have scored 3 or more 9 times in last 12 games!

Besides that I'm counting on a not so good St.Louis defence:

03 Mar 04 CGR Flames v STL Blues 4:2
22 Feb 04 STL Blues v CHI Blackhawks 2:3
21 Feb 04 STL Blues v DET Red Wings 1:5
20 Feb 04 TB Lightning v STL Blues 3:4
16 Feb 04 PHX Coyotes v STL Blues 2:4
15 Feb 04 PIT Penguins v STL Blues 2:3
11 Feb 04 STL Blues v OTW Senators 1:3
06 Feb 04 STL Blues v CGR Flames 2:1
05 Feb 04 STL Blues v EDM Oilers 3:5
01 Feb 04 NJ Devils v STL Blues 4:1
30 Jan 04 VAN Canucks v STL Blues 4:2
25 Jan 04 DAL Stars v STL Blues 3:2
22 Jan 04 STL Blues v CBS Blue Jackets 1:3

They recived 3 or more goals in 10 of last 13 games.

All in all the games between these two teams are always open and high scoring so I hope the history repeats itself!

Good luck

Today's POD:

Georgetown (+8.5) vs. Notre Dame (-8.5) 2 @ 1.91 [b]BET WON 48-61

It is the last homegame for 2 Irish seniors tonite. Tom Timmermans (who scored a career-high 20 points as Notre Dame defeated UCLA Saturday) and Torrian Jones will play their last game on home turf. So I think they will give 110%. Notre Dame needs this win in order to keep their NCAA tournament hopes alive, so I figure Chris Thomas and Chris Quinn will come out bringing some big guns.

Georgetown lost their last five, and didn't look to good against Seton Hall their last game. Hopefully they will cave in this time too in front of a hostile Notre Dame crowd. I myself will be at the game tonite, and you can bet your candy heinie I will cheer for ND like it ain't nothing! :D

Good luck!

My 2nd pick (1/0 so far +100)

NHL:

Toronto Maple Leafs to beat NY Islanders @1,9 (WilliamHill) 6-2 WON (...and Leetch had 3 assissts :)
This is 60 Mins betting, despite of it I'm pretty optymistic about the outcome of the game. Both teams are going in different direction now: Leafs are arming before play off's meetings and aquired Brian Leetch from NYR- a very experienced man who's had 3 goals and 6 assists against Islanders this season. Leafs seemed to come back on the winning track after fine 3-2 home victory over Bruins.I'm sure that important game gave them confidence having moved Toronto ahead of Boston.
On the other hand we have Isles, the team which occured to be not good enough to beat lowly Pittsburgh in their last home-and- home series...This is not a good sign before this game you must admit. "It pretty much feels like it was two losses (to Pittsburgh)," New York's Mark Parrish said. "It doesn't feel like we got any points out of these games." Will Islanders be able to bounce back??

I expect Leafs to take advantage of low morale of their today's opponents.

Be careful, i am not eally quit about this game. But i hope they will win.
Belfour is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Islanders. Belfour didn't practice yesterday but coach Pat Quinn says it was just so he could rest his back.

Brian Leetch, Toronto Maple Leafs - The Leafs responded to the Bruins' acquisition of Sergei Gonchar by trading for Leetch on Tuesday. They gave up defenseman Maxim Kondratiev and center Jarkko Immonen along with a couple early round draft picks in 2004 and 2005 which is a fairly steep price to pay for a 36-year old blueliner who is a year away from unrestricted free agency and is commanding top salary already. Still, the acquisition is a good one for the Leafs who didn't have to part with a single player on their active roster or any of their more highly touted prospects. Leetch joins an already strong Maple Leafs team and will be their #1 offensive option on the blueline. He will see all the powerplay icetime he can handle and should respond with some terrific numbers playing in the heat of a playoff battle. Tomas Kaberle, Ken Klee and Bryan McCabe will have to sacrifice some minutes upon Leetch's arrival, which is expected to be in time for Thursday's game against the Islanders.

Detroit vs Blazers
So, here I know that many punters will pick as favorite to win Detroit. Because, the stats say that Detroit is more powerfull team and will try to return to good results with this match against an not so hot opponent.
I have different opinion. Hamilton probably will not be able to help Detroit after a nurse surgery he has done. So, an important Pistons' gun is out.
Blazers play in fornt of their fans and also want the win and they have a chance here with Hamilton's absence. If they will play well against Detroit without Hamilton they are going to win.Blazers are good at home 18-11. Detroit in not in good form.
So, I pick: Portland win -1.5 @ 2.10 Ladbrokes

Acpulco - Tennis ***WON***

My pick of the day is MOYA to beat Gasquet in 3 sets.

(Centrebet: @3.75)
My stake 5/10.

Moya's experience and overall skill level should get him over Gasquet, however, I am not convinced that his recent injury problems have been completely ironed out. In any case, there has been the odd game in the past week where he has lost the odd set to a so-so player, so I don't think its too way out to suggest that Gasquet could take a set off Moya.

Gasquet's form speaks for itself really, having beaten some decent players such as Massu on the South American circuit. He is young and has an agressive style which has wo far worked wondes for him. However, I predict that after taking the first set, he will just fizzle out and Moya's experience and patience will be the deciding factor.

Rugby Union : Super 12's - Handicap Betting
Auckland Blues v Waikato Chiefs (+19) 2 * 1.83 * Willhill
Chiefs not only played tight game but even won it without +19 handicap as Blues 20 - 27 Chiefs Finished PICK WON

my statistic 1/1 +83

Last year result was Feb 28 Chiefs 27-30 Blues. Last year Chief usually lost 1-11 points range each game. This year they improved a lot. This season beefed up with players like AB Byron Kelleher made a difference.
First they won opening games with Hurricanes and second round were in the race untill captain 10 min sent off.
Blues last year champion started a "surprise" loss to australian Brumbies.
But back in the game after beating Crusaders again, with pretty similar score line to last year final.
Tonight -this morning 1 hour later- I expect a Bluse victory but even 3 try difference 15+6 can be short to beat the handicap.
lets' see.

Blues: Mils Muliaina, Doug Howlett, Rico Gear, Joe Rokocoko, Sam Tuitupou, Carlos Spencer, David Gibson, Xavier Rush (captain), Daniel Braid, Bradley Mika, Ali Williams, Angus Macdonald, John Afoa, Keven Mealamu, Greg Feek.

Reserves: Derren Witcombe, Tony Wood****, Bryce Williams, Justin Collins, Steve Devine, Orene Ai'i, Ben Atiga.

Chiefs: Loki Crichton, Lome Fa'atau, Keith Lowen, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Derek Maisey, David Hill, Byron Kelleher, Steven Bates, Marty Holah, Keith Robinson, Sean Hohneck, Wayne Ormond, Deacon Manu, Tom Willis (captain), Michael Collins.

Reserves: Scott Linklater, Simms Davison, Dave Duley, Sione Lauaki, Kevin Senio, Glen Jackson, Grant McQuoid.

/Per
Thanks Per. Hey man(for example), if i sow in Gazzetta delo Sport " difensore georgiano del Milan: "Il momento è positivo, bisogna però proseguire così. Roma e Juve ci crederanno fino all'ultima giornata", what can't i say? U want tu say que Kaladze say that in my paper???

Wrong thread !!! Today is 5/3 Muuki, plus I think you're gonna have to write a bit better analysis than that, for your pick to be valid...
