Germany ligues starting!
Keep on rolling.. :)
Event: CZ Jena - Offenbach Kickers
Reasoning: Offenbach were always higher in the table than Jena, they have more class. Carl Zais team is suffering very poor form - of the last 8 home games they won only 2, drew 2 and lost 4. Recent total form is also bad – last 4 games – 1 draw and 3 losses, the last one at home with Augsburg 0 – 2. Offenbach on the other hand is in uptrend – they won all the last 4 games, the last one away with Braunschweig 1 – 2. H2H is not in Jena favor either – they never won against Offenbach.
I suppose now is not the time they will start.
Pick: Lay CZ Jena - Betfair @ 2.64

@avok... i cannot agree with your pick.
according to the stats offenbach is favourite and they also played attractive soccer in the last matches of the first part of the season.
nevertheless here are some facts, that are in contra to your pick (besides it`s the first round after the winterbreak, where it`s hard to bet on games)
- Jena signed 5!! new players in the winterbreak, 3of then are defensive players.
- Their coach wants to focus rather on the defens in the first games, as Jena has one of the worst defenses in the league (especially away)
- Offenbachs key player Dorn announced that he will go to Rostock after the season.
I think that Dorn`s statement just before the league starts again may not be favourable for the whole team.
Unless Offenbach played grat in their last matches, they are still a mediocre team in this league.
i don`t expect them to continue like in their last games and on the other hand I expect Jena to get more stable, loosing less games (especially with 4:1 or 5:1 like against KSC and Aue.)
NO BET ,as for all games in this first round. let`s see, how all teams start in this 2nd part of the season.

You are right, that Dorn will play next season for Rostock, but this no fact against Offenbach today. Dorn is out today.
But I think that the first round after the break is hard to predict.

I know that he`s out for today, but I meant that his late decission to change may affect the team morale, as I rate him as key player in the offense along with Suat Türker.
People from germany what do you think about the game?
Rot-Weiß Essen - 1.FC Kaiserslautern
In my opinion Kaiserlautern is the better side here, any missings or injuries?

Lautern without Karadas and Borbely, also Reinert will miss today.

K'lautern have signed a number of players in the winnter break(on loan mostly): Benjamin Auer(on loan from Bochum), Meissner(on loan from Stuttgart), Vignal(on loan from Lens), so their already strong squad is even stronger and definitely more experienced now.
Also, CZ Jena should be a lot stronger in the second part of the season, that's for sure.Completely new defensive line: Kai Oswald(Unterhaching)-van Steensel(Utrecht), alonsgide already proven players:Gunther and Ronald Maul, plus they just signed ex-1.FC Koln star Alexander Voigt(Roda Kerkrade) and Mohammed El Berkani(Lierse)!Player for player, they're by far the better side than Offenbach now, but it's really hard to say whether this gonna works so well when the league starts.

Those players will need time to fit in. According to my information Jena played some friednly match with them against average turkish team and still received 3 goals. And even with improved defense and some good offensive player missing for offenbach my pick is not for Offenbach to win, but not to lose.
So i will pick Kaiserslautern tonight!
I saw the new Squad with Auer(VFL Bochum),Gregory Vignal(RC Lens),(Emeka Opara) and Silvio Meißner(Vfb Stuttgart)
I think the squad is better than in the first 17 games.Auer was a very good striker in Mainz last season. But when Gekkas join Bochum he lost his place on him.Gregory Vignal was a average Player in France. But i think the first League in France is stronger than the second League in Germany.Emeka Opara will start tonight the first time.FCK Coach Wolf is very suprised about this player,so i think we will see a new good striker in German 2. Bundesliga.Silvio Meißner was the man who played very good in Stuttgart when Felix Magath and Giovanni Trapatonni was the coach he was the key player in Stuttgart.I think all players will give power to the team.

sorry, for this late post,i will write only some facts.
as Bundesliga starts again, I will take a small bet with low stakes.
Unterhaching- Aue Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80
Why?
-Aue will miss Emmerich, an important key player.
-Aues coach had a nighmare against München 1860 in the last game of the first round and said that they will fully focus on the defence today playing rather on counter-attacks.
-Unterhaching is practically without offense toda. Their two best strikers Kolomaznik and Lechleiter are out.
-Heerwagen, Hachings coach is according to many german soccer fans among the best 3keepers in the league. Without him, Haching would surely have 4-6points less.
I know it`s short but both teams are classic under teams(especially Aue away) and with the additinal facts mentioned above, i cannot see anything else than an under. This would be a classical high -stake under game, but as it`s the first round after the break,i`ll keep my stakes low

What do you guys think about this
Rot-Weiß Essen - 1. FC Kaiserslautern
Which team will lead at halftime?
Pick: 1. FC Kaiserslautern 2.60
With new players I think that 'lautern will be scored more goals, especialy in first half.......

Incredible Carl Zaiss Jena Deffense [1-3] in the 50th minute. And new player in the team in deffense Oswald perfect debut with own goal.
From the other side Kaiserslautern with so many new players and powerful attack lol [0-0] 50th minute...
Germany Bundesliga 2 starts again with incredible games

well, i don`t see this results as "incredible".
avok made a very good pick laying jena, but I missagreed due to many new players in jena.
but i was wrong, and jena seems to start as bad as in the first part of the season. we`ll see their developpment in the next games.
by the way....breaking news!!!!!!!
Burghausen will travel with only 14 players to Karlsruhe due to many injuries(also some keyplayers)
they will face KSC who will have all players available.
I won`t bet on this game, as i maybe write too biased as a fan of KSC,but fact is, that Burghausen will travel with minimum squad to Karlsruhe in order to defend 90min.
KSC -1.5 is available in some bookies for 1.80 and higher
Köln - Augsburg
Sure, Köln git the better team and the Christopf Daum effect must come! We wait all soo ong for it and now after winter breakt its a must win for cologne! So high stakes on them!
8/10 Win Cologen @1,65 IW
Karlsruher SC - Wacker Burghausen
I found some interesting things on bwin..........
Halftime/Fulltime
Pick: Karlsruher SC / Karlsruher SC 1.70
How many goals will be scored?
Pick: Over 2,5 1.60
How many goals will Team 2 score?
Pick: No goal 1.80
Which team will lead at halftime?
Pick: Karlsruher SC 1.55
I thinking about Burghausen not to score @ 1.8 and some small bets on correct score (3:0 @ 7,00 or 4:0 @ 10,00).
Profit what do you think of 4:0?
ProfitTips
20-01-07, 19:41
@ Dex.....KSC always had difficulties against Burghausen. The 4:0 in the first round was an expection. I still haven`t yet decided, but one is sure.
The probability that KSC will win 4:0 tomorrow is very small.
Burghausen will defend 90minutes, playing on counter-attacks, as they have only 14players available for this match.

I read that Burghausen is good at counter-attacks before. How many regular'll miss the match for Burghausen ?
Augsburg +3/4(2.14 at Pinnacle) to beat 1.FC Koln
Well, considering Koln's performances for most of the season, this offer is just ridiculous.Augsburg are still missing star forward Diabang, but they've got a number of experienced and proven players in the squad: Benschneider, Wenzel, Hertzsch, Lars Muller,...,while their new signing Felix Luz and Teinert are more than capable of replacing injured Diabang.Especially it goes for Felix Luz who could easily prove to be one of the most exciting players in 2.Bundesliga.Koln failed to beat 9-men Lautern in the last round, being put on the back foot for a big part part of this clash and this fact claerly speak for itself.Koln are mentally just too weak and more pressure ahead of today's clash could work against them!
Koblenz(3.90 at Betfair) to beat Duisburg
Could be a very tricky match for Duisburg.Koblenz looked technically superior to Duisburg in their first meeting and it was only super strike by Blank that separated these two sides on the day.Koblenz in a clear uptrend period after that, with much more experience at this level now and also they've got a lot stronger squad for this match. Some great signings in the winnter break, proven players Emil Noll(Alemannia Aachen), Babatz(Mainz), new goalkeeper Pantic(Partizan) and so on...More than cpable of beating anyone and they should definitely get some support at this price!
Koln transferred ex-Fenerbahce defender Luciano. When i think him with another ex-FB player Alpay it looks funny defence line. Some red cards some stupid errors :) But at all they are tough defenders.
We saw in first half that koln has not big problems in finding goals. Daum likes active game so they will be offensive.
Koln has good results in friendlies. I think they will be so motivated to make title challenge. They still have chance for promotion. Augsburg is not have a brilliant performance in away matches... Home win looks high probablity.
Hansa Rostock - Freiburg
Ridiculous odds IMO!Statisticaly Hansa are red hot favourites in this fixture, but the fact is that Freiburg play much better footy and only poor finishing let them down in the first half of the season. The only problem for Freiburg could be a very questionable away form, so I find this one as the advantage for Hansa.Aside from that, there's no difference in class between the sides and on the top of their game Freiburg will always be able to match Hansa.

Rostock without Tim Sebastian and Freiburg without Wilfried Sanou. All players on bord for today match.
do you expect a lot of goals? It seems that Hansa has a very tight defense and with Freiburg's scoring problems in mind an Under 2.5 would be possible?

i must dissagree with you. i think that today hansa will win. maybe it will be tough victory, but it will be home win for sure. they have better quality than freiburg. maybe the only reasonable pick is under.

@ pakon...
it`s simple....SKIP THE GAME.
Freiburg cannot continue and will not continue like in the first part of the season. They have excellent players who are able to finish in the Top 7 at the end.
Of course Rostock is favourite, but it`s the first round and the are under pressure after KSC win yesterday.
So,NO BET!!!
By the way...1.50 is a ridiculous odd, everything below 1.80 has no value.
As I said, Freiburg cannot continue like in the last season.
The will play defensively tonight, and Rostock is known for their superb defense at home.
If you find odds of 1.85 or higher on under take it.but that won`t be the case in any bookie

What u think its matter, find some info and pick something yourself.
Its true about Sebastian for Hansa and Enrico Kern in bad fit (best scorer for hansa). If u look History meetings will say under becouse last game
Past games
2005.12.04 Freiburg 2 : 2 Hansa Rostock
2006.05.03 Hansa Rostock 1 : 2 Freiburg
2006.08.13 Freiburg 0 : 0 Hansa Rostock
Im sure that Hansa will not lose this one, but...
I think a home win, hard game with max 2 goals bouth on hansa side.
good luck

You can find those odds on Asian market as of now, handicap on Hansa Rostock is 1.84 & under 1.88 as of now on www.sbobet.com
But is it really a good bet to back on Hansa?
I've lost a lot on Koln already, thought they will play much more better than the 1st half of the season, but they still haven't showed their promotion candidate quality yet.

freiburg is the team in the league who need the most chances until they score:-)

i won`t play anything,as there aren`t any tempting odds in my bookmakers.

Loooll...What's the point of this stupid comment?Maybe I should have taken Hansa last night just to join you and the rest of so called "pro punters".Mate, get real...Freiburg clearly dominated in the first meeting on the oppening day, being unlucky not to score 10 goals on the day(just take a look at Beinlich's comment) and last night's match was just a payback time.Even a blind man can see that Freiburg play much better footy than Hansa and other 2.Bundesliga sides and surely one of the most attractive footys in Germany.Their only problems is extremely poor finishing and that's the only reason for a number of failures(vs.CZ Jena, KSC(a 0:4 defeat was a big joke(KSC scored three goals out of nothing, while Sanou's goal was one of the most funniest in 2006), Hansa, Koln,...).But, I guess the rest knows the best...
