I want to start a new way of betting, i see that very few people use to bet on live events or evan avoid it. Well i will try to obtain some profit with live betting only on soccer matches. I think that in live betting if you watch the match you have equal informations as the bookies are having, you just need to watch the match very carefully and see the weak points and strong points of both sides.
I just funded my account at expekt and betfair with 20 euro each. So my starting bank will be 40 euro. I will only bet 4 euro on each bet at the begining until i reach my first target 100 euro, than i will change my stakes. I will never bet on matches that i don't watch it live. Behind every pick i will write some arguments and as soon as i make my bets i will post them here.

Very good idea to have a discussion on live betting, Goldeneye_hd.

I started betting live in the last two months and now i can hardly bet on pre-game. Even if you are not going to see the whole match you can improve odds by waiting for minute 15 of so. Specially when you intend to bet on the favourite or on the over. If is still 0x0 by the 15th minute, the odds on over increase substantialy. Some times even the line moves (2.25 to 2 for example in the over case). If a goal is scored before the minute 15, i leave the game and wait for the next one.

Another big advntage is the ability to cover the bet and cut the loss. If you bet on over and the score is 1x0 for the favourite team which seems to be happy with the result you can always cover the under in order to lose less money (sometimes you can breakeven depending on the timing)

After 9 minutes Manchester is playing very courages and they are making a very good pressing. They already missed a 1 on 1 chance so their confidence is good.

today i was following two games

-tennis, murray against ljubijic , ljubijic won the first game, then 5 sets to 4 for ljubijic , and the odd was 1.40 !!! it seems so high, i tried to take it but i was one second late and wasnt able to place the bet , and 5 minutes after ljubijic won the game, damn i was so pissed off not being able to place my bet !!

-football , nothingam against charlton, at half time nothingam was winning 2-0 , charlton is an incredibly poor team with an extremely crap away match record (11 games, 10 losses) , i was reading people writing on the livescore thread that charlton was playing terribly bad , at half time the odd was 1.12 for nothingam, i wanted to take it but finally didnt , the game finished 2-0 .

these are ONLY two examples, but now i feel that betting on livescore can be rewarding, but only if u can watch the game.

Some strange things happened at this match. When i made the two bets with exact score 1-0 and 2-0 i closed the betfair window than thinking that the bets will be matched almoast instantly like other times. In second half i decided to cover myself with an x at expekt becouse i thought that my 2 bets with exact score 1-0 and 2-0 are matched. But when i entered than on betfair i saw that the stakes for both bets was refunded so my bets weren't matched. So my x cover was useles at this point becouse manchester was leading with 1-0 and my bets on 1-0 and 2-0 didn't exist. But few minutes later Aston Villa equalized so i decided to cover my self with all the money i had on betfair 11.98 euro on exact score 2-1. This bet was matched this time and in extra time manchester scored and won with 2-1 :).
I love happy endings.

I will make some changes to my stakes now, meaning that i won't bet only fix stakes of 4 euro becouse in this way i can't cover sometimes. So from now on i will decide the stakes according to my confidence and necesity.

After 19 bets i reached 0. My failure was probably becouse of lack of patience and becouse of high stakes. All in all i still believe you can win with live betting and i'm sure there are people who are constantly living from this way of betting. I'll be glad if anyone will try to make some profit with live betting and post everything on this forum.

Live betting is the only one way of betting I use. When I first figured out that there's something like that I deposited my money with bet365 but their "in play" didn't seem nice to me. The odds weren't good. Then I discovered betfair which seemed great. The odds were nice (besides the commision) and I deposited money.

The great advantages of playing live is that I am able (I bet tennis) to bet the way that there's no risk at all. If you know tennis inside out plus you know some math you are capable of backing both players at suitable odds so no matter who wins/loses you're gaining profit. And even if something goes wrong, you still could cut your loss and minimize the risk to very low level. Another thing is that you always get better odds with live betting. Before I started I had wondered why so few people bet this way and I was a little bit afraid that it may not work out, but it did:)
