Mali- Guinea 1 2,1 Interwetten won, viva Mali
Don`t be fooled by the name - Mali. Maybe this doeasn`t sounds like football superpower to you - but actually Mali is now one of best teams in Africa. They rocked past group stage, easily dealing with Kenya and Burkina Faso and while playing with some second choice players they were controling the match against Senegal, leading but at the end it ended 1-1. Mali really is fantastic team - good goalie, good defence with fantastic athletes, fantasctic midfield(Keita! Diarra! Toure! Sissoko!) and great profilic striker Kanoute up front. On the last ANC Mali was 4th... Now with Kanoute they can go all the way to the end! Having Tottenham striker in team really gave them much of power needed.
Guinea??? Oh, yeah, this is the team that advanced from group A. They won against DR Congo 2-1. They had drawn 1-1 with Rwanda. And drawn 1-1 with Tunisia. They wouldn`t be here, in quaaters if Tunisia ahdn`t done them a favour and allow to score a goal in late minutes. Guinea? Isn`t that this team that conceded a stupid goal against Rwanda in 93rd minute? That team where Youla playing against Rwanda missed empty net from 5 metres? That team where all depends on Feindouno and old, fat Titi Camara? Titi Camara - how old is he? He is retiring from national team after this ANC - I mean after Saturdays game against Mali... Becuase I don`t see Guinea getting anything from this game.
Mali is so fantastic... I love watching them. Will be even more pleasure becuase bookies continuesly underrates them. 2,1 for Mali against Guinea?! That`s dream odds for me - full stake.
And as I'm going to bed soon since I have to get up early on Saturday (helping my sister to move) I'll be the first one to snatch a pick
Bradford-West Ham(-0,5) @1,90 with Pinnacle. Bet won, 1-2
West Ham is certainly promotion material, but they have lost goalkeeper James and striker Defoe over the last few weeks. For Defoe steps Bobby Zamora in, but he'll ahve to start on the bench. All through January West Ham has strengthened their squad with several solid players for Div 1(most coming in from Wimbledon, guess the players don't want to leave London?) so they sure look like contenders now.
Bradford on the other hand, and end, look like a likely relegation candidate with poor form. Windass and Cadamarteri are both missing and their experience will be needed if Bradford wants to avoid the drop.
Still no points to collect when the Hammers come to visit.
Damn Arbiter, were you just sitting around waiting for me to open the thread?

Damn Arbiter, were you just sitting around waiting for me to open the thread?Bingo :P I just HAD to get that Mali pick :)
Damn you guys, you took my two favourite bets for today  ! I guess I have to take another then. So...
My pick of the day:
Ipswich - Wigan OVER 2.5 goals, (1.83 @ Pointbet)
This is a match to see. 5th placed Ipswich will host 6th placed Wigan, both with 47 points. Both teams have good chances to play in the playoffs at the end of the season. Ipswich have 8-2-4 (33-22) at home and are in OK form at the moment, 2-2-2 in the last 6. Wigan have 5-5-4 (21-20) on the road. They are also in OK form, 2-3-1 in the last 6. Both teams played low scoring draws last round, Ipswich 1-1 away against Coventry, Wigan 0-0 at home against Burnley. Despite that I believe in many goals here.
Wilnis will miss this match for sure and McGreal is a major doubt for Ipswich, but Miller and Bart-Williams may return along with Santos.
Wigan seems to be without any injury problems, McCulloch has been struggling with flu, but is most likely back in team and Alan Mahon should also be in the squad after joining from Blackburn.
17 of Ipswich’ 29 games have ended with over 2.5 goals this season. 10 home matches have ended over 2.5, only 4 have ended under. Wigan have 10 over and 19 under this season, but 6 of the 10 over have come on the road. Also Ipswich are the most scoring team in division 1 with a massive 54 goals. However they concede many too, 44 so far. Only Burnley, Derby and Wimbledon have conceded more. I believe that this will be a close match, but with many chances. This game can go either way, but I strongly believe that it will be many goals. Ipswich are a very offensively minded team, but their defence have been very shaky all season. Also Wigan have showed before that they can score goals in away matches.
So my pick will be over 2.5 goals here. I believe we will see 2-2, 3-2 or 2-3 as possible results.
Chievo Verona - Lecce over 2.5 goals 2.02 @ Pinnacle won (2-3)
Great offer by Pinnacle!I just couldn't resist it.Two offensive-minded teams playing, they're both in good form, and weather shouldn't be a problem.Lecce won their last 2 away matches in Calabria and Ancona scoring 6 goals.Scoring away from home hasn't been a problem for Southerns so far since they are rare Serie A team that plays to win also away (they scored away against Inter, Lazio, Roma...), their problem is that they concede to many goals in those occasions.Chievo had a hard time in Torino last week on a very hard pitch extending their poor record against Juve (0-1).Now they have a full squad, Luciano is back and should start to play like he knows, after being neglected in Inter. The price for Lecce is too short, but over looks very good.
Chievo - Marcheggiani - Moro, Barzagli, D'Anna, Lanna - Luciano, Perrotta, Barone, Santana - Sculli, Cossatto.
Lecce - Sicignano - Siviglia, Bovo, Stovini, Abruzzese - Cassetti, Bolano, Ledesma, Franceschini - Chevanton, Bojinov.

Pick N4!
1/3, -109 so far, but improving!
*Carlisle v Bury, Home (1) 2.30 Gamebookers
Now then, we have two strugglers here, but they are heading different directions.
After a managerial change in Carlisle, they improved a lot and so they are 3-1-0 home in last 4 games!! Aeovil, Boston and Torquay were the worthy victims, so no pushovers and GD was 6-1 in these games! The only draw was against Darlington!
Buryon the other side have a bad run lately, they were on 8 games losing streak, but won once since, still their record is 1-1-4 and 0-1-3 in last 4 away games!
So, nice odds on a nice game here!

Result:
0-2 WON
===========================================
REASONS
After 3 weeks without win Monaco must focus again and win the worst home-team in France(div.1) if they want to stay safe-away from Lyon.If the best away-team like Monaco cant win the bottom teams in the table then how can they be champions? The only player who will not play for Monaco is key player Giuly but they have the quality to subtitute him with other great players like Prso…All in all I see Monaco win here against worst home team in the league!
Good Luck with your choice!!

Turkish League:
Elazig- Fenerbahce AWAY WIN @1,5 WH 0-1 WON
I'm not an expert of Turkish soccer, but this bet looks safe to me. Playing host Elazig is bottom of table team with poor home record 1 win, 5 draws and 3 losses. The question is if they are able to get a draw today? My answer is NO, because Fenerbahce is double-boosted by great win over Trabzon 3-1 in last round and surprising (?) draw of their big rival, Besiktas, on Friday. There's a big chance to close the gap for Fenerbahce which is 3rd in "awaytable" in Turkey.
Tottenham Hotspur - Portsmouth, AH(0:1) Away@1.70(G'bookers)
VOID (4:3)
-----------------
profit: +80
status: 1/1
------------------
Well, firstly I'd like to back Burnley in match with Gillingham, but finally I've choosen this one.
There is the reversal of the games that took place on Boxing Day. Pompey triumphed 2-0 in the Boxing Day clash between the two clubs, with Patrik Berger netting twice, but Harry Redknapp's side face a tough assignment in North London.
Tottenham Hotspur
>Jermain Defoe, who netted on his debuts for Bournemouth and West Ham, makes his first start for Spurs. The 21-year-old striker looks set to replace Helder Postiga, who limped out of Wednesday's FA Cup defeat by Manchester City with a hamstring problem.
>Spurs will be seeking a third successive home League win against struggling Portsmouth, and will be looking once again to Robbie Keane for a goal.
>The Londoners have recorded just one win in eight home League meetings with Portsmouth over 51 years. That was 2-0 on 16 March 1957 in the old First Division. More recently Spurs have failed to score in six of their last seven League and Cup clashes with Pompey.
>Helder Postiga and Darren Anderton? miss out through injury,Fredi Kanoute still on African Cup of Nations, but Gary Doherty and Mauricio Taricco may be available
Available players: Keller, Carr, Gardner, Richards, Taricco King, Anderton?, Ricketts, Keane, Postiga, Dalmat, Poyet, Brown, Defoe, Jackson, Davies, Bunjevcevic, Doherty, Kelly, Ziege, Yeates, Burch.
Portsmouth
>Pompey have some fresh faces of their own with Tresor Lomano Lua Lua in line for his debut as Redknapp, whose son Jamie made his comeback for Spurs reserves in midweek, finally has some options in attack. Manager Harry Redknapp admits he almost has an embarrassment of riches ahead of the clash at Spurs following Aiyegbeni Yakubu's early return.Redknapp made seven new signings in the transfer window and has other players returning from injury. We will see what manager he is.
>Teddy Sheringham will probably play against Spurs for the last time, he has scored only once in eight appearances against his former club
>Pompey have won three and drawn three of their last seven League and Cup clashes with the North London club.
>Definitely out are new boys Ivica Mornar (hamstring), John Curtis (groin), and banned trio Dejan Stefanovic, Richard Duffy and Kevin Harper.
Available players: Hislop, Primus, De Zeeuw, Pasanen, Taylor, Smertin, Faye, Berger, Berkovic, Sheringham, Yakubu, Wapenaar, Schemmel, Stone, Quashie, LuaLua, Mornar, Hughes.
------------------------------------------------------
My verdict: draw
Well. I am entering competition. good luck me
My first pick of the day is
1.FC Kaiserslautern - 1.FC Cologne Pick: 1 @1.9 Gamebookers
PICK WON
From the statistics of these 2 teams you can see, that Kaiser was in moist cases victorious.
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 2:1
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 3:1
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 3:2
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 1:1
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 3:1
1.FC Kaiserslautern 1.FC Cologne 3:0
Current places of thease two teams are:
15. 1.FC Cologne 18 4 4 10 16:26 16
16. 1.FC Kaiserslautern 18 5 3 10 21:33 15 -3
Kaiser hasn't won in its last 5 matches, but always played quite nice and i could see potential in this team. At the other hand, Cologne hasn't lost for 5 matches, though their quality is still far from "good football" (to my opinion). So I would like to fancy Kaiser here, as I think it is time for this quite nice team to start winning.

Team news:
Watford will be without striker Danny Webber as he may need surgery on an injury to his right shoulder.
Marcus Gayle is ruled out with a hamstring tear so Sean Dyche is set to fill in, but captain Neil Cox and Jamie Hand are available after bans.
New signing Darren Byfield could start for Sunderland and defender Gary Breen will be back after injury.
Byfield, who has signed until the end of the season, has scored 23 times in 58 starts for Rotherham.
"He has played well against us twice this season and will offer us blistering pace," manager Mick McCarthy said. "I wouldn't bring him in if I didn't think he bettered our squad.
Paul Thirlwell could figure despite a broken nose and Sean Thornton is back in the squad after an ankle problem.
================================================== ===
To me Sunderland look much the better team and should get a win here to boost thier promotion chances after having a winning run of 4 brought to a halt last week.
Watford need to pick up points to stay out of the drop zone but may find them easier to come by than this game.
My pick:
Watford v Sunderland 2 @2.37 Ladbrokes

Aston Villa Vs. Leeds  1  1.6@Centrebet WON 2-0

BATH +2 v London Wasps Rugby Union Zurich Premiership 1.83 @ Paddy Power
I think too much is being read into the fact that Bath are missing Catt, Tindall and Perry for this game as there are some excellents odds available for the hosts. Bath are 10 points clear of Wasps at the top of the table and both sides realise that a win today could decide the championship. Bath have already won at Wasps earlier in the season 20-19 and have put up some memorable performances at home. A close game, but Bath have to be taken with them receiving the handicap.
For the purpose of the competition, I'm using Paddy Power, although Totebetxpress have the same handicap but at odds of 2.00
Udinese - Bologna under 2.5 goals 1.65 at Gamebookers
First I want to say that this is a value bet becouse fair odds for this game would be 1.4--1.5 for under 2.5 goals.
Udinese and Bologna are two low scoring teams that meet today in a match that will have one goal in my oppinion. What can you say about those teams.Last home results for Udinese 1:0,1:1,0:1 and for Bologna 0:0,1:2.For reasurence I can say that the maximum between (avarege goals scored by Udinese home and avarege goals conceeded by Bologna away) & (avarege goals conceeded by Udinese home and avarege goals scored by Bologna away) is below 2 goals.
Glentoran - Dungannon (WON FT: 1-0)Pick: 1
Odds: 1.53 @ Gamebookers
Like I have said before, Glentoran are way better than their league standing suggests. And after been knocked out of the semis in midweek by league leaders, they just got to pick themselves up and continue where they left off in the league. Playing against Dungannon is always welcoming for Glentoran. Already this season, they have met 3 times, and all resulted in favourable results for Glentoran, 8-0, 2-0, 4-1, with the latter 2 in away games. The quality difference here is just too much of a gulf to be a close game and I fully expect Glentoran to come away from this match with 3 easy points. And am looking forward to Glentoran making strides up the table for the rest of the season.

Pick no1
Real - Malaga, Malaga over 0,5 Total goals (teams) 1.75 Nordicbet

A typical bet for me when Real Madrid plays at home.I think the possibility for any team to score against Real is always over 70%.

February stats: 1/2 -14 :?
Hamburg - Bochum - over 2.5 goals @ 1.75 (Bet365) 1:1 - bet lost :( 1:1 = unglaublich!
Bot teams are usually involved in high scoring games. Hamburg scores 1.75 and receives 1.5 goals per home match and Bochum scores 1.56 and receives 2.11 goals per match away from home. So this numbers favour "over" in this match heavily.
Last three matches between these two finished with 1:1 and I think it's time for today's one to finish with at least 3 goals for a change...
I expect home win here and with Bochum scoring one goal very probably, HSV then needs to score two times at least. That is enough for over.
Good luck!
I was considering Tottenham's win but finally ended up with this...
HSV - Bochum Home win @ 1,91 (Ladbrokes)
Although Bochum is much higher in the table I think HSV is the better team of these two. They have had some problems with goal scoring which has always been one of the most important things for the team. Defence concedes a lot(especially 1st goal) but usually offence has been able to score the needed goals to win except this season. HSV have played 2 more matches at away and that can be a bit confusing as they still are one of the best home teams in the league.
Last 3 meetings between the teams are all 1-1 draws. Probably not this time as I expect a few goals more from the home side.
Last 10 meetings at Hamburg are 6-4-0 and I don't think it's turn for a statistical loss yet and Bochum is totally different team away from home with poor but very appropriate record for them(2-2-5 14-19)
About the team news...
HSV must do without: Pieckenhagen, Maltritz and Ujfalusi
while Bochum is without: Buckley and Bönig
Pick lost FT 1-1...Thanks a lot again HSV why they always have to concede first???

Topo-centras Atletas Kaunas - Nevezis Kaideiniai PICK 2 @ 1.9 @ Betandwin
Very very wrong odds by BAW. Nevezis is a much better team than Atletas, plus Atletas has some injury worries. The main reason though is the pure value, as the local lithuanian bookie TopSport gives only 1.35 for Nevezis win, so 1.9 is PURE value. Of course Lithuanian bookies know the situation there much better than BaW.

Southampton vs Fulham
Saints win @ 2.0 with William Hill
Fulham are fairly inconsistent away from home which is something Coleman will have to work on if they are to finish high up in the table. Saints have let me down a few times but I will have another go and predicting a win for them. Phillips netted twice at Utd last week which should be good for his confidence and Beattie is fresh from his injury and should be ready for this game. Injuries are clearing for Strachan whilst Fulham may have a little hangover from their energy sapping win over Everton in midweek. If Southampton are on their game then they should take advantage of that over 90 minutes of football and earn themselves 3 points.

Greek Basketball. Marousi - Paok
Marousi is first in the league, so it is understandable that this place is not lucky and that has the quality to win every team. Today, plays at home against PAOK and is probable that will win. But, it is going to be a very close match. Paok is in good form , is in 6th place and I think +7 for PAOK at sportingbet (40 min) is a very value bet. Marousi has lately problems in the home matches and does not win easily. PAOK will be a difficult opponent.
Pick of the day PAOK +7 1.90 sportingbet (40 min)
Note: In case of win of Marousi with exactly 7 points there is no return of stake, bet is lost.
4/10
[b]Newcastle - Leicester Pick: HT 1 (1.8@Centrebet) won
For me 45 min are enough for Newcastle to take the lead over IMO the weakest side in Prem. this season - Liecester. The odds for a home 90min win are not very tempting (1.42) so I'll take this option.
Newcastle:
Loran Robert picked an injury in 1:1 draw vs Birmingam and will miss this one.Craig Bellamy and Lee Bowyer will be in the team (not sure they will starts in the first 11) but Andy Griffin is injured.
Leicester:
Les Ferdinand is back for Leicester.Steffen Freund will make his debut and Gerry Taggart is back after a loan in at Stoke. As part of the agreement between the clubs Nikos Dabizas won't play.
Good luck.
Okies, second pick from me this month.
OFI - Aris - Home win - 1.75 - Interwetten Dull game but 3-0 for OFI
OFI is in serious trouble since the fans r against the board due to the famous "link" with Panathinaikos and this has an affect to the players. This time there is not gonna be any problem since the team is suspended and there will be no fans.
OFI played well against Halkidona last week, but was unlucky to lose with two goals at last three minutes of the game. This time i think the players will be much more concentrated and, if this happens, Aris will not be a problem.
The visitors r not good away from home due to the well-known problems (financials) they have, which have cost them lots of players who left to club during January.
Imo, OFI cannot afford a loss again and Aris is in so bad situation that 1.75 seems extremely good to me.
Good luck.

Marseille is in a good form (win 1-0 at Montpellier, lose at Sochaux but make a good game) and have now a good attack (Drogba, Marlet and Mido).

It's now or never for Marseille to win and to have a chace to have a place for European cups.

VfL Wolfsburg - Borussia Dortmund , pick UNDER - @2.15 GB BET LOST !
Dortmund is well known with strong defanse , but also , Wolsfburg have very good attack and offensive play , in this game , i think will be small number of goals , because of that Dortmund defanse , odd is very good IMO . Dortmund have away 1 1 6 , with only 6:15 goal difference , they must taking some points on away games , and that can do only if play good in defanse , Wolsfburg have 24:12 goal difference at home , very good , they dont score in first game in Bohum , and there lose , Dortmund lose at home also 1-0 in frist game against Shalke , and i think this be close match with small number of goals because is important for both teams
in last game in Wolsfburg result was 2-0

Viola Calabria-Scavolini
I dont have much time for explanation.Scavolini alone on the first spot with recod 15-4 and Calabria on 9 spot with 9-10.Calabria got some injury problems, and the biggest problem is American player Blandchard.Scavolini with full squad ant they got great players like Milic,Gigena and Frosini and of course Djordjevic.IMO they are much better team and main reason for this pick is injury problems for Calabria.
Viola Calabria-Scavolini away 1,6 @Interwetten(without handicap)
Full time 84-84.Interwetten dont offer odds on draw,so whats going on in this case.Moderators pls help.

07 Krka (-9,5) - Slov. G. (+9,5) away 1.8@betandwin PICK WON 77-73
Adriatic league,Slovenian derby, two evenly bad teams meet after just 3 days from Euroleague game of Krka.
Slovan should be much more rested team, and theh diference between these two is not so big, even if both were well-rested.
First game won by Slovan, and I don't agree they are such underdogs.
Krka won great game against Unicaja, trailing nearly 20 points before last 1/4, and that should have taken a lot of their energy, and with a rooster like their's it should bring some problems.

"Marcel Koning (knee), Pieter Collen (shoulder) and Ronnie Stam (Achilles) remain on the sidelines as do Ali Boussaboun (knee) and Arne Slot (ankle) while Orlando Engelaar is suspended".
So 3 top scorers : Elmander(6 goals), Engelaar(6 goals), Arne Slot(3 goals) will not play...
Herenveen on the other hand come from two wins (0-1 win at Vitesse, 2-1 home vs Roda), have not played since jan 24 so are fully rested and prepared for this game!
I believe this is a great opportunity, i see an easy win for Herenveen who are in the battle of european position while NAC left with only the cup to fight for!
My fellow Macot made his pick already (won 8) ) so story with NBA pick won't repeat :)
It'll be pick from my favorite league-Serie A

Full time 84-84.Interwetten dont offer odds on draw,so whats going on in this case.Moderators pls help.
If they don't offer odds on draw, then this is "Money Line" bet and it includes overtime... So, the final result was 105-103 and your bet is lost. Sorry. :(
NCAAB: St.Mary's-1.5 over San Francisco 1.962 Pinnacle Won St.Mary's 69 USF 63
These teams are playing their second in a home-and-home series. On Thursday, St.Mary's won convincingly at home 75-51. The Gaels were in no trouble in the game. St.Mary's has had some trouble on the road this year, going 3-7. However, this is not much of a road trip at all because they're playing their local, across the bay, WCC rival. Some of their key players in the game have shown better form of late and I'm guaging that this one will not be as close as the linemakers would like to think. The reason why the line is so close is because the Dons are undefeated at home after eight games. However, San Francisco couldn't shoot well and were out rebounded by 20 the other night. Clearly St.Mary's have the match-up advantage against the Dons and has key players playing better now.
I'm a little bit late, but on time for this one:
Nacional - Sporting Lissabon X @3.30 Interwetten Won (3:3)
First, it's not about chasing big odds(there's no need to go over 2.50), but I have my money on this, and rate draw as very, very, probable result.
Sporting will be without skipper Beto, and they will also miss couple more important players, strikers, if I am right. Knowing Nacional like a strong home team, draw is maximum for Sporting here. And last, but not least, for "bet against streaks" lovers, guests are without draw away, and hosts without draw at home.
Good Luck!
Davis Cup
Australia - Sweden 2 - 2.20 (Centrebet)
Its gonna be a tough day for the Aussies as they are down 2-1 and need to win both matches, not many teams can come back from 2-1 down and win the rubber and with the Poo in such bad form I can see Bjorkman taking him down, if that fails then the Hewitt-Enqvist game will decide it and this too seems like a closer encounter with the Swede in some decent form. This is far from a sure bet but there is a lot of value in a Sweden victory.
Bjorkman wins the first rubber so this one is a WINNER
