Yes, I've seen that people posted picks in Sunday-Monday, but since we've changed the rules a bit, those picks won't be included in the scoring. I'm sorry if you thought it started the first day of this month.

I know it's boring to read rules (who the hell reads user agreements when signing up for something on the web?), but if you haven't, I strongly recommend you to do so. I have marked the changes with red colour, so contestants that have read the rules already don't have to read it all over again. Read the rules here (http://www.bettingadvice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15598), and if you have any comments, feel free to share them in that thread.

The most important changes are:

Number of picks from 15 to 10
Odds-limit from 3.75 to 2.50
I'm sure that not everyone here will like the new rules, but we've done what we think is best for the competition and the quality of the picks.

danielcz was the winner of January. +587 points was enough to win last month. Congratulate him and post your best pick of the day!

Good luck!

SoccerStatsTracker will sponsor the competition this round as well, with the same prize, which means 100 euro + a lifetime subscription (updates) of the software SoccerStatsTracker. I have personally tried the software and I must say that it is a very useful tool for punters. You can download the program for free, so why not give it a try?

Cameroon vs. Egypt - 1 @ 1.83 (William Hill) LOST

Cameroon, the big favorites to win this tournament, clashing Egypt in group C. In their last match, Cameroon beat Zimbabwe 5-3 - a game which was very good in the offensive side. Two years ago in Mali, Cameroon eliminated Egypt at the quarter finals stage beating them 1-0 - a win that cleared their way to take the championship on this tournament.

After two games, this is the situation in Group C:
Cameroon - 4
Algeria - 4
Egypt - 3
Zimbabwe - 0

Although Egypt need the points from this game, Cameroon are in better form (specially M'Boma) and want to confirm their 1st place in the group. IMO Cameroon will win this game also.

My 1st Pick of the Day:
Algeria VS Zimbabwe

Pick:
1 (-1 ASIAN)

Odds:
1.90

Bookie:
IW

Result:
1-2 LOST (GREAT START   )

===========================================
REASONS

I decided to participate in this competition because I just have to try hard to return to possitive results. My 1st pick is Algeria to win the wordt team in the tournament. They just need a draw to qualify but they might get the 1st place if they win weak Zimbabwe.I know 2 goal difference is BIG in this cup but it seems ok to me!Only Mamouni will not play for Algeria because he was sent off against Egypt.Zimbabwe has terrible defence and they concede easy goals.I think that Algeria will preveil against a bad not-motivated side…

Good Luck with your choice!!

K Srebotnik vs. Obata - 2 @ 1.66 (William Hill)
(Srebotnik retired)

Ah, a fresh month...

An easy one, strong play by Saori at Australian Open shown her as one of the top, givin' home tickets to Myriam Casanova & Ai Sugiyama, also a rather close game with Natalie Dechy (7-5, 6-1). In opposite, Katerina Srebotnik, with extremely weak session start (loosing 3 matches out of three), possible because of an injury made at the end of december in Chech Rep. In addition, Srebotnik carpet stats of 2003: 1-2 (!) only three games, defeated by Rubin and Petrova. Saori stats on carpet: 7-4, also competing at Tokyo, with the support of home crowd since 1999.

Scarborough - Hereford
Pick: 2
Odds: 2.40 @ Centrebet LOST

Scarborough's season has certainly had its ups and downs, almost like that of a volatile stock market. The peak is most certainly the 1-0 loss to Chelsea. And the down? Well, it is the inability to deliver the goods when facing oppositions of the same division. They have struggled this season, and looks doomed to yet another season of mediocrity. With nothing to fight for the season, they just have to stave off relegation to have a more than satisfatory season. Coming into this match, they would miss their top goal scorer Mark Quayle, which is a massive blow, considering he notched the club's 13 of 30 goals(www.soccernet.com) this season already. Meanwhile, Hereford welcomes back their top goalscorer Steve Guinan, who despite being out for 2 months, had notched in 15 goals! That aside, Hereford's motivation would be up too. Especially with their 2 matches in hand, this match is one of them, they know they MUST take maximum points from this clash and the other to be able to draw level on points with league leaders Chester City. And with luck, and a good trashing, they could even top the league after completing both matches with a superior goal difference. It is definitely not out-of-reach for them. With such odds, it is great value in my opinion and do encourage to back Hereford. Handicap offered ain't too shabby either(Interwetten).

Holland - Amstel Cup
Sparta - NEC 2 2.30 @ BETANDWIN LOST

I see a clear value here. NEC Nijmegen is a team that has gained some very good players lately- Andzej Niedzielan and Edgar Barreto. Niedzielan is a great striker with big potential. He is is good form (proof: a beautiful goal vs. Feyenord). So far Nec is on 12-th place in the Eredivisie but for sure they will climb up soon to secure a safe spot.
NEC is going to attack from the beginning, and an early goal should secure the win.
Sparta plays in second division (2nd place in the table) but I dont think they can be a threat to NEC Nijmegen.

Northampton v Yeovil English Div 3 Tues

The town have been playing well recently and were unlucky not to get something from there last game at Doncaster.[still hoping they can make the play offs]

Yeovil have been slipping away lately and may not be as strong as they were at the start of the season.

Div 3 Table.
6 Yeovil 28 10 47
16 Northampton 27 -11 33

Northampton have won 3 of last 5 home.3 wins in last 5 games.

Yeovil lost 3 of last 5 away.1 win in last 5 games.

Recent Head-to-Head Results.
D3 25-Aug-03 Yeovil Town 0 - 2 Northampton Town.
FAC 2 05-Dec-98 Yeovil Town 2 - 0 Northampton Town.

Team news
Northampton midfielder Paul Trollope is doubtful with a hand injury.
Midfielder Marc Richards is also a doubt after suffering concussion in the same game. Ian Sampson is suspended, while Josh Low (foot) and Peter Clark (knee) are still unavailable.

Yeovil midfielder Nick Crittenden will miss the game through injury.

Andy Lindegaard could make the starting line-up after he came on as a second-half substitute for Colin Pluck at the weekend.
================================================== ===
Looks good for a home win but with the loss of key player Trollope for the cobblers guess what!

My Pick:
[b]Northampton Town v Yeovil Town Draw @ 3.20 Ladbrokes.[counts 2.50 only in comp]
Trollope played but too late to change pick so Nothampton won 2-0 Pick LOST

Middlesbrough - Arsenal 1 @2.50 (Gamebookers)

First game Arsenal lost 1:0. They played with some young players.
Tonight - same situation.
According to BBC, "Middlesbrough are waiting on the fitness of defenders Gareth Southgate and Ugo Ehiogu.
Full-back Danny Mills could return to the squad, but Colin Cooper continues his battle against a hamstring problem.

Jose Antonio Reyes is set to make his full debut as Arsenal attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Reyes is likely to be joined by Patrick Vieira, Edu, Martin Keown and Pascal Cygan, although Arsene Wenger will also field some of his younger players."
Middlesbrough  Schwarzer, Jones, Mills, Queudrue, Parnaby, Davies, Southgate, Ehiogu, Mendieta, Boateng, Zenden, Doriva, Juninho, Downing, Greening, Maccarone, Nemeth, Ricketts, Job.
Arsenal  Stack, Holloway, Lauren, Toure, Cygan, Keown, Clichy, Cole, Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Edu, Parlour, Pires, Reyes, Bentley, Owusu-Abeyie, Thomas, Smith, Skulason, Papadopulos.

Invalid pick. It's not ok to back the same team as anyone else now, even though you have taken a different bet type. Also, the maximum score you can get for a correct pick is 150 points, is it worth taking such a risky pick then?

Pick for today is from England Conference

Scarborough v Hereford ht/ft 2/2 @ 4.00 willhill.

This is the best match for today in my oppinion.Ht/Ft in risky but someone else already picked the result I wanted.
Hereford, place 2nd in the league, two games less than leaders Chester, must win this one to remain in contention for first place.Last game they drew against Morecambe and I don't belive that they could make two bad results one after another.
Although in the last two games between these two teams, played at Scarborough, the hosts won the out come of tonight will be away victory.

English FA-Cup 4th round replay...

Colchester - Coventry Away win @ 2,30 (Centrebet) Bet lost (FT 3-1...damn English lottery)

Colchester battled a well deserved 1-1 draw in the earlier match and will have an important support of their own fans today. Although Coventry were the team who scored both goals last time as Dele Adebola headed the ball in the own net.

The host will miss important defender Sam Stockley due to a suspension as well as Jamie Cade who is cup-tied and injured Andy Myers. ManU loan Paul Tierney won't be playing as his recent transfer is not fully completed yet.

Coventry's only absentee will be a striker Andy Morrell but he's not important because there're quality replacements.

Colchester's home record is pretty good but they have been in some sort of a downform lately with a overall record 0-3-3 and during that period they have managed to score only 3 goals...

Coventry have actually played better at away this season but goal scoring has been a big problem so far. Anyway I think Coventry is at least a class above struggling hosts

03-02-04, 09:11
My first Pick Of The Day.

NBA. Basketball Cleveland versus Detriot. Pick Detroit 1,33 at Gamebookers.

Home playing Detroit has won last four games. Their overall record is 36-12 and in home 19-6. Cleveland overall record is 18-29 and in road only 5-20. They have found some form lately, (7 wins in last 10 games) but team s like Washington, Orlando, Philadelphia are not in same level with Detroit. Handicap is 6,5, which is probable, but Detrioit often wins by only some points. So I am not sure about it. But I am sure that they win this game.

Holland - Amstel Cup
Sparta - NEC 2 2.30 @ BETANDWIN

I see a clear value here. NEC Nijmegen is a team that has gained some very good players lately- Andzej Niedzielan and Edgar Barreto. .
Barreto (Paraguayan international under 19 or 21) has just trained once and will start on the bench unless more people drop off. Zonneveld is injured, and midfielder Govedarica and captain / central defender Wielaert are ill and doubtful. Defender Wisgerhof is doubtful too. It will be last-moment decisions by coach Neeskens. Sparta is without Koevermans, but they hired de Nooijer... from NEC. No no-play clausule here. You can listen live to the match on www.omroepnijmegen.nl web-radio. Sparta is 2nd in the Eerste Division, coached by former Vitesse trainer Snoei, who took some players with him with Eredivisie experience. Sparta isn't that bad, of course NEC is better, but watch out for the injuries!

Middlesbrough - Arsenal first team to score Arsenal, 1.6@gamobookers
Well, the perfect scenario for me...
Team that always score first has to score to get through, and home team will try to defend their 1:0 lead after the first game...
Even if Henry won't play, I see Arsenal much stronger, and Reyes will have something to play for.
And we're talking about a team who score in 99% of their games, almost always takes the lead, and this time they will be the only ones to attack
PICK LOST, AND REYES SURELY STARTED GREAT WITH A GOAL FOR MIDDLESBROUGH

Doherty K. v Davis S. 1 1.52 Gamebookers WON

Two experienced man, with no so good results lately, an open match with a little advantage of Doherty from head to head statistics: 7-3. Last match win by Doherty 5-2 in Irish Master last year.

Algeria - Zimbabwe HT/FT 1/1 2.05 at Gamebookers

Algeria will qualify if they beat Zimbabwe in the last match of the group stage and I think that they will have a go from the first minutes of the match. The Zimbabwe diffence as we saw in the game against Cameroon is a very weak one that can be passed every time the other team wants to score, and the Algerians want this very much.I think that the score will be close to the one in the Cameron v Zimbabwe match with Zimbabwe scoring less goals. The Zimbabwe team has no chance to qualify after a poor presence at this tournament and I think that they are already home with their mind but still obligated to play the last game in the competition.

I think that some of the changes look ugly but I am not going to start the discussion here. My first thought was to take the match between Cameroon and Egypt as a draw with odds of 3.20 which seemed normal to me. Since now I cannot take it my bet will be:
Cameroon (0) - Egypt (+0.5) take Egypt @2.00 @Ladbrokes
I think that the logic of this bet relies on the logic of these teams. Cameroon needs a draw to qualify and the capabilities that this team has shown in this cup so far, are far from promising. A null draw and a high scoring game with a defence looking like my favourite emmendal cheese (with many holes). So in my opinion Cameroon will be more defensively focused against a team that no matter what are dangerous. Let's not forget that Egypt is playing for survival in this competition so they are not going back to Egypt at least without a good fight against the champs. Who knows, maybe it is time for Cameroon to be eliminated....We'll see what happens in a few hours.
Good luck to all.

i would go for staight Sparta win v. Nec

Koffieboer just strengthened that feeling.

Simply Sparta home 7w 0d 3l
where Nec away 4w 0d 5l.

Sparta kicked out Roosendaal /2-0/ who slightly better away than Nec.

I we accept that no draws  it is a home win though no much english info...

It's too bad that previous picks don't count since I started with 2/2 and +230...anyway I hope I can reach more points soon

The home side had some really good results in this season's Germany Cup...they were lucky to play all the matches in their home ground(as we know those two years that they are back in Bundesliga they have trouble getting points away from home)where they have defeated much stronger clubs than today's opponents...Stuttgart(that was undefeated at that period, they hadn't even conceeded a goal...and they played with the full squad!!!) and Borusia Dortmund!!!
Duisburg's primary goal should be to avoid relegation since they are only 2 points above the zone and they haven’t won any of their last 5 matches before the winter break. The hosts acquired Belgian attacking midfielder Van hount from their today’s rivals...
Borrusia tradittionally advances to the latest stages of the German Cup and it’s not that easy for the visitors to stand on their way.
Probable lineups:
M'GLADBACH: Stiel - Korzynietz, Demo, Strasser, Carnell,- Gaede, Ulich, Kluge, Kolkka - van Lent, Sverkos

DUISBURG: Langerbein - R. Schröder, Drsek, Oswald, Hirsch - Wolters, Maas, Bugera, El Kasmi,- Ahanfouf, Spizak.

M`deutscher curently on 11 spot with record 6-8 and Leverkusen on 6 spot with record 8-7.Mittel with this win can calculate on play-off spot and they have some good players like Alexis,Burke and Arigbabu.Of course they also have great ex-Germany coach who wants better position on table.Gamebookers put down odds on home win to 1.5 and Interwetten still offer 1.65 for home win.

NBA:

Philadelfia 76ers- Toronto Raptors OVER 171,5 @1,9 (Centrebet) 83-90 WON

76ers are coming off a loss to Minnesota, but they performance was satisfying. Philadelfia blew a nice lead and the score went way over 180 points line offered by bookies (result 101-106) mainly thanks to good scoring form of Robinson (27 points), Iverson (28poinsts). I count on similiar offensive attitude of them tonight.
Toronto is more defensive team as T-volves are, but the numers say that OVER was 3-1 in their last 4 against 76ers and 5-1 in Raptors 6 overall.
In last 5 h2h games both teams scored avg. 180,4 points which is promising sign for my bet.

My pick of the day:
Greuther Fürth - Werder Bremen 2, (1.66 @ Betinternet). WON 2-3. Pure luck :D

G. Fürth plays in 2. Bundesliga. At home they have 4-3-1. It's expected that striker Ruman will get his chance today. Surmann will most likely get the hard task to try to stop W. Bremen's Micoud.
W. Bremen have had a fantastic season and will try to get the double this year, and in the form they are in now they surely can do it. They comes to this match with their strongest team available. Last weekend they crushed Hertha Berlin 4-0 in Bundesliga.

Probable starting line-ups:
Greuther Fürth: Neuhaus - Weber, Kleine, Westermann, Kümmerle - Heller, Surmann, Burkhardt, Caillas - Ruman, Feinbier.
Werder Bremen: Reinke - Davala, Ismael, Baumann, Stalteri - Ernst, Lagerblom, Micoud, Borowski - Ailton, Klasnic.

Altough this is cup I expect that Werder Bremen will show who is the best team in Germany at the moment and go to the next round. Away win.[/i]

Benfica - Academica 0:1 3/4 Home2.00 GB WON 1/2 (2:0)

I believe Benfica will try to honour memory of their decised collegue and win with a big goal margin (it's normal reaction to such tragic events). They are much better as Academica, trying to close the gap with 2 leading teams. More of my thoughts are at http://bettingadvice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15607

My pick of the day is :

Hoffenheim - Lubeck home , 2.75 @ Bet365

Hoffenheim already won to much higher ranked teams in this year's cup. Altough they play in German Regional Division, they have the capabilitie to win against Lubeck, and I think that will hapen tonight.
On the other hand, Lubeck are a mid-table team from the 2nd division. They have an average away record.

I see a great bet here.

Good luck

Sacramento-Seattle (+11) ---> away win ---> odds 1,971 @ Pinnacle

4th match in current season, in 3 previous Sacramento managed to beat the -11 handicap only once (but they had an amasing shooting night, 2pt 60%, 3pt 52-53%, Seattle had 3pt 16-18% if I remember correctly), Seattle is solid team, sure not a punching bag and I really doubt Sacramento will beat the handicap. Actually, I doubt that Sacramento will even win this match, Seattle beated some pretty tough opponents in current season (Minnesota, Detroit, Houston, L.A. Lakers, Sacramento...)!

Los Angeles@Calgary
The Calgary Flames are 10-2 when allowing 4 goals or more in their previous game while the LA Kings are 2-8 coming of an upset win as an underdog. Flames at home hold their opponents to 22 shots per game and allow an average of 2.1 goals. Kings are unbeaten in 6 now thanks to a lucky goal in their last game at Edmonton to tie the game in the final minute of regulation. Calgary scored 6 goals in their last game against Anaheim to catch up with Los Angeles in the Western Conference standings. This is a chance for them to win the game, leave the Kings behind in the 8th place and revenge a 4-1 loss about 15 days ago at LA.

Let's make some picks and stop arguing against the new ruels!

Pick 2/10

FC Nantes - A.J. Auxerre - pick: HT X @2.15@ Centrebet won HT 0:0

Le groupe nantais :
Grondin, Landreau - Armand, Ateba, Delhommeau, Gillet, Guillon, Yepes - Da Rocha, Fae, Toulalan, Yapi, Ziani - Moldovan, Pujol, Vahirua.

Le groupe auxerrois :
Cool, Hamel - Boumsong, Grichting, Mexès, Mignot - Kalou, Kapo, Lachuer, Mathis, Siriex, Tainio, Violeau - Akalé, Cissé, Gonzales

http://www.fcna.fr/flashes/flash.php?flash=4-020204 (nantes official)

Everyone knows auxerre's form. The in-form Guy Roux's team will face the strong home side Nantes.Yes, "strong", despite they are 6 2 3 at home. They lost against Monaco(0:1), PSG(0:1) and Lyon(0:1) - three of the four strongest teams in France. The forth of course is Auxerre, meybe the best one in the moment. The main reason to pick this one is that this semi-final will be played in one leg - so no place for mistakes.I expect a tough centre battle with few chances to score and no risks taken.Especially in the first half.

1/10 pick from Belgium CUP

Club Brugge - La Louviere

Promtion - team to go to next round -

La louviere @ 2.70 Interwetten LOST

First match won La Louviere FT 2:1. Brugge took a lead in first HT, but could not hold on.Last meeting shows, that Bruges had some problems to beat La Louviere.

2003-08-23 Club Bruges 3 3 La Louviere
2003-08-02 Club Bruges 6 5 La Louviere
2003-01-18 Club Bruges 3 0 La Louviere
2002-08-11 La Louviere 1 2 Club Bruges
2002-02-09 La Louviere 1 2 Club Bruges
2001-09-16 Club Bruges 2 1 La Louviere
2001-02-09 La Louviere 1 1 Club Bruges
2000-11-04 La Louviere 2 1 Club Bruges

Bruges seems out of form, and last win against strugling Cercle Bruges
( FT 5:0) does not impress me, because after one player of Cercle Bruges was sent off, they finally brake their defence and fired 5 goals.
There is a bad weather in Belgium, Ex. Champions will have tight schedule ( CL, bad current ligue results, etc.)

Interwetten offer "Promotion" - Team to go to next round - La Louviere at @ 2.70, Brugges at @ 1.35 8O

I really believe, that La Louviere still have chance to go to the next round.
Cheers and GL!

Tennis - Toray Pan Pacific Open, Tokyo (ledies)

Tanasugarn T. -vs- Husarova J. - 2.50 @ Gamebookers - WON

As a whole Tanasugarn is stronger than Husarova and the last year here has passed Farina and strong fought with Devenport. However it was then, and now its form very much bad, in fact if on tournament of the Grand Slam she could not mobilize the forces and has lost 1-6 3-6 Grenvil that to speak then. Besides in fact and Husarova very much it is not simple with the 19-9 and loud victories over a track record above Maleeva, Loit, Stevenson and Zvonareva, and here it was already kneaded as follows. Husarova can win and 2.5 simply smart value.

Have a nice and profitable month. Copa Libertadores starts today and i cannot resist to pick a match from that competition.

First game of this month for me:

Santos Laguna (Mex) - Un. de Concepcion HOME WIN - 1.57 - Ladbrokes

2-2 Pick lost, 2-0 @ 8', 2-2 @ 83' :(

The hosts r a good team at home ground and this is their first attempt ever at CL. They don't have any serious problems and they r ready to start their campaign against a team of their capabalities.

Free of injuries r the visitors also, who r also debutants at CL. I cannot add many things bout this game, except that Santos' field is at sea level, so the chileans won't have problems with mexican altitude.

Sorry for the not-so-detailed arguements.

Good luck.

P.S. after edit: Just edited the bookie, Scandic wasn't valid.

Sacramento-Seattle (+11) ---> Home Win ---> odds 1.93 @ Pinnacle
Pick WON (Sacramento Kings 117-101 Seattle SuperSonics)

Recent Meetings in the past month
Date ML Line ATS/O-U
1/31/2004 SEA 103 SAC 110 4.5/211 SAC/O
1/7/2004 SEA 104 SAC 93 2.5/213 SEA/U
1/4/2004 SAC 130 SEA 99 -9.5/209.5 SAC/O

• SEA is 1-6 ATS in their last seven on the road.
• Kings are 6-0 ATS on 2 days rest this year.
• SAC is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

Posted above are a few trends (which were obtained from www.covers.com) that I like about this game. Coupled with the fact that this game is the 2nd back to back game for Seattle, I expect nothing less than a blowout. And yes, I know that Sacramento lost at Seattle recently, but it must be noted, that the game was the 2nd of back to back road games for Sacramento, which frankly, they suck at :). Oh yea, this is my first pick of the competition :D. Anyways, good luck to the rest of you on your picks!

Seattle already taken. Pick vioded.

Match; SUPERSONICS - KINGS

Pick;

Seattle - 1st Quarter - Sacramento (-3.5) @1.91 @WILL HILL

Analysis;

This game should be a high scoring game as both teams know to get over 100 points easily... If KINGS don't do again their 3rd QUARTER RUN than should they get the lead in the first quarter..

(-3.5) is not much even if that's for 12 minutes...

Nant - Auxerre...... under 2.5 goals......1.60 GB

At home this year Nant ---lost 3 times in a row against Lyon,Monaco and PSG in November , since that - disappointing 1-1 vs. Toulouse , win over Auxerre and win over Ajaccio 4-0 .... all in all 6-2-3 at home for Nant this year . Nant is 6th on the table with some hopes for place which would lead them to CL...that hopes could go away if they lose against Bordeaux at friday .
In last 7 games Auxerre managed to win 6 times , but this row of possible 7 victories broke Nant with the victory of 1-0.Auxerre is in a great condition ...they scored 5 against the Bordeaux but we all know what is the sth with Bordeaux . Auxerre away is 4-2-5 , but they only beated teams in lower part of the table whilst they lost away to Marseille , Bordeaux , PSG , Sochaux , Nant ... got two draws in a matches against Monaco and Lyon (overall they took just two points against first 9 teams on the table in away games) . Auxerre is on the spot for CL , and playing at Saturday vs . strong , strong Rennes ... so no easy tasks for both of teams in "23eme journee"
Concerning these circumstances I would favour Nant to win(38%--32%--30%) ...preferably because win over the same opponent not so long ago ...but Nant won three games in Coupe de league this year and none of them in regular time(Nancy,Clermont,Le Mans), while Auxerre was a little bit more convincing (Rennes , Troyes,Gueugnon all in regulars) so no value in any of the outcomes here for me ... but what I`m interested for in this game is under/over...1.6 / 2.10 GB .

In eleven games this season at home Nant played 10 of them under 2.5 , and only last game trashed Ajaccio 4-0 . On the other hand Auxerre away is 3 games over (Toulouse,Sochaux,Ajaccio) and 8 games under(don`t forgot the game with Nant also Monaco,Lyon,Marseille,PSG all went under). In cup games Nant all three games under , Auxerre 2 unders and over vs Troyes.Maybe Auxerre attackers are on the fire but Yepes, who missed last clash vs Le Mans, will know how to deal with Cisse ,so my estimations for under / over 2.5 goals are ... 72%--28% which gives us 15.2 % value in under .

Probable formations :
Auxerre Cool - Radet,Boumsong,Mexes,Mignot - Lachuer,Tainio,Violeau - Kalou,Cisse,Kapo Obou
Nant Landreau - Gillet, Guillon,Yepes, Ateba - Fae, Da Rocha, Quint, (Toulalan) - Moldovan, Yapi (Vahirua)

TOR Raptors v PHI 76ers +4.5/-4.5 - PHI 76ers - ODD 1.91 Gamebookers

Two good teams meet each other tonight. On the other side is Raptors. But 76ers have good shooters a good form at the moment. My bet is on handicap -4.5!

2 loses in row and a chance to end this at home against the raptors is a good motivation...........

It's also a revange for them and the last meeting ended 94-84 for the raptors...

Icehockey, NHL

New Jersey-Ottawa 1 ----> 2.35 @expekt Bet won, 2-1

Two of the best teams in the NHL battle it out, and it should be a tight game, but my feeling is that New Jersey is on the way up, while Ottawa could be on the way down. New Jersey are 6-2-1 since that last loss against Ottawa, while Ottawa are 5-3-1, but with two losses in the last three.

The main reason for this pick except for the two form curves that points in opposite direction, is that New Jersey have home advantage, and I get the feeling that New Jersey will be more motivated to win this game. The last meeting between these two teams ended 4-0 to Ottawa. New Jersey will for sure be looking for revenge in this game, while Ottawa probably are looking more at the up coming "icehockey war" against canadian rivals Toronto on thursday night.

what do we do now???
MORBO send the same match 10 minutes before me as i did firstly reply to some other posts and than wrote this POD POST !!!

is it my fault ??? or the rules ???

Whether it counts or not.. This pick is my POD !!!Juankaan!

From the rules:

Your pick must be different to all other placed picks, but you can back another team/player in the same game as someone else has taken

So it actually IS allowed to take other team to win in game someone has chosen before(backing other team)!
Rules say you cannot take handicap, ht/ft, ht etc. on same team in same match then someone.

So your pick is correct, that`s what rules say...

Voided bet, there was already a bet on Algeria!

So, ltes start again...
Pick N1:
*173/Philadelphia v Toronto OVER 1.90 (Nordicbet)
There is a simple rule here, when both Iverson and Carter play, you can expect over game, a shooting tournament, whatever..
Even without this rule, statistics shows some interesting facts:
Last5: Toronto were Over this margin in 4 games, only one that went under was against a strongly defensive LA Lakers without the stars!
Philly went over in 3 of last 5 games, but one of those, when they did not make it, was without Iverson! Plus, they lost these games and scored less then I expect them to score tonight, when they have a chance to win!
Predicted result: 92-95 Philly against 85-90 Toronto!! So between 177 and 185 points!!
Good luck!
****!!! Daneck already took this one!!!!
So i ll skip it tonight, see you tomorrow!!

Well...Srebotnik retired even without a game with Obata, dunno why she entered this competition at all :?: ...instead of this pick of the day will be:

J Dokic V C Black - 1, 1.36 @ William Hill (Pick WON)
2:1 (3:6, 7:6, 6:1)

First game in this year by Dokic, a bright perfomance from the previous session made her a strong favourite here. She didn't attend AO (i think mainly because of personal reasons, with all that passport stuff and and returnal to the homeland), BUT, three month has passed...Dokic is in the game against not a top one, Black, a "start-session looser" with 1-6 1-6 lose Bartoli and 4-6, 3-6 to Cargill. Everything is clear, a "strong start test" for Dokic if her plans for this year is to still be with the elite.
GO!

Hi my first pick in the POD competition under new rules will be:

Toronto - Chicago (+1,5) HOME 2,25 Gamebookers

The Maple Leafs are big favourites in tonights match-up against the Blackhawks. Toronto is currently on the top of Eastern conference with 69 points and I'm sure they'll do everything possible to hold on to that spot. It's very crowdy on the top of eastern conference and they can easily drop from 1st to 4th or even 5th place, so they have to play every game like it's a deciding one (well it acctually is). They have four wins in a row now, last one was 5-1 against a very good Ottawa team. So they are quite hot, while on the other side Chicago is really going through some difficult times. They have alot of injuries (well Toronto has some too) and they are the second worst team on the road, managing just 2-19-0-1 on the road since Nov. 7, beating only Nashville 2-1 on Nov. 7 and Calgary 5-3 on Friday. They have won only once in last 10 games. They are a team that can score goals but they are just letting too many pucks into their net! So I think that home win shouldn't be questionable (odds for a normal win are very low, but I think I can try a two goal margin win - handicap 1,5). GO MAPLE LEAFS!!!

Good luck guys and let the games begin! :D
