Kaiserslautern v Carl-Zeiss Jena

Kaiserslautern won the last game against Braunschweig (last place), 1-0 away and draw the previous one at home, 0-0 against the 7th place Augsburg. The Kaisers are still on a 7 points gap behind the leaders and have the same number of points with the 3rd place Duisburg, 28. The top 3 teams will qualify to the first league in summer, so they should stay close to this position.
Kaiserslautern is on a good home run: 5-1-1 and a goal line of 16-6 while their opponents are 0-3-4 in the away games with a goal line of 18-31.
Carl-Zeiss Jena is on the 15th place, the first relegation spot and lost in the last round with a 2-0 score against Burghausen at home. Before that, they were destroied in Duisburg, 0-4. It looks like they have a weak defence as they conceided the biggest number of goal in the league: 31! The attack can hardly compete with this, as they only scored 18 goals to cover it.
Kaiserslautern has the best defence in the league, only 14 goals conceided, but also a good attacking force with 23 goals scored so far. On the home ground they have scored 16 goals.

I will go for:

Kaiserslautern v Carl-Zeiss Jena handicap 0:1, 1.80 at gamebookers

For me the Kaiserslautern - Jena game tomorrow is the most interesting. Kaserslautern will win this without problem. I will be surprised if they win by only one goal margin. They usually crush teams like Jena. Demai absence in the defense would be important in any other case but I know they will find replacement good enough for the Jena toothless attack. They lost their only decent striker Helbig.

From kickers.de

The 29-Jährige tightened itself against castle living a cross torn-tape condition in the right knee and to the Thüringern up to the end of the season will be missing. Bitterly for Jena, because Helbig was with so far four hits still the most successful contactors of the beginner.

Well, concernig today`s games, i`ll bet myself on 2 games.

Fürth - Haching

Augsburg - Braunschweig

Ok.....concering Fürth - Unterhaching Bookies made some mistakes imo.
Just look at the results of Haching in the last 2weeks. "Only" lost 1:0 at home vs. KSC and impressively won 5:1 against 1860Munich.

Haching just found their team spirit again after a terrible season start. they don`t have any well knows individual players but with their fighting spirit they are impressing me in their last games.
Bookies give 4.30 for straight away win..That`s too much, but I`ll go here for Haching +0.5 due to their mediocre offense power.

LAst game vs. Munich was an expetion as Hching is normally a team that wins with 1goal difference.
Fürth on the othe side is really poor this season...2years ago they had very good youngster like striker Eigler or Roberto Hilbert, but thesy sold them.
Now they are nothing more than a mediocre side in 2.Bundesliga still dreaming of promotion.
That*s riciculous as they are simply not able to play constant.

I cannot see on of the 4worst home side es of the league favourite against on of the 7best awaysides of the league.
Haching has no important absences and it won*t surprise me to see them winning tomorrow in the Bavarian derby in Fürth.
Fürth has the worst defense at home allowing 2goals per game. Without their superb offense qualities at home scoring also 2goals per game they would be near a relegation place for sure.

As I said, I`ll back the away side with a 0.5HC still with fantastic odds of 1.85 and look very confidently towards this game today.

Augsburg - Brauchweig

Concerning this game I won`t write too much.
Odds for HW are too low at 1.60. You saw what can happen with such crap odds on Friday where Lautern drew goalless against Jena.
We`re still talking about Augsburg, who promoted from 3rd league. Unless they bought some very good players their current place in the table is a little bit suprising. I`ll predict them to finish between the 10 th and 13th place at the end of the season.
Augsburg has really a defense problem in away games. You could see that last week in Offenbach where they lead 2times and finally lost 3:2 in the last minute.
On the other hand at home they have one of the best defenives, allowing less then 0.5goals per game.
Now they*ll host Brauchweig....what should i say..they are just poor, no quality ,no deep squad, no good individual players.

BUT their new coach Reinmann brought back the fighting spirit to them and so results like a draw against Duisburg and "only" a 1goal defeat against Lautern were the result.
It just doesn`t matter who`ll play tomorrow for Brauchschweig, fact is that they cannot afford to loose tomorrow as they are already are 8points behind a non-relegation place.

I just can`t see Brauschweig playing desperately offensively tomorrow allowing counter-attacks to Augsburg.
I see a boring game, dominated by two fighting teams but not many goals. Maybe Augsburg will win this by 1goals ,maybe a goalless draw or a lucky counter-attack goal by Brauchweig.
It just doesn`t matter and 1X2 is too unpredictable for me.

On the other hand less than 2.5goals are very predicable here when one of the 3best defebsive sides at home meets along with Essen the worst offensive team in the league.
Maybe this league is rather unpredictable but Bookies made a mistake with the odds.
1.80 for a 70-80% under game are 0.15-0.20 too high and I`ll grab that value bet

MY BETS ARE:

Haching +0.5
ugsburg - Brauchschweig Under 2.5

I agree with ProfitTips about haching.....Greuther far from impressive this year, haching will try to get as many points to avoid relegation scenarios in the end, they are in a good form these weeks, started to score some goals, good morale from trashing Munchen 1860....I will back them X2

Well. that are only my very first thoughts for the Freiburg - KSC game tomorrow.
It*ll be the most intresting one for both teams in the whole season.

This is the No. Derby in "Baden" ,the reagion in South-Germany where both teams come from.
Badenia stadium in Freiburg will be sold out since several months again with 5000KSC fans.
There will be several fan trains from Karlsruhe to Freiburg(only 1,5h by train) and the game will be transmitted live on DSF.

KSC will have all players available and play with best squad possible.
Freiburg will missMatmour and Tanko. Especially Matomur is very important for Freiburg.

Coulibaly and Pitroipa are also doubtfull. They didn`t train the whole week and yesterday it wasn`t clear if the can play against KSC.
In the case that both superb players (Pitroipa as strikers and Coulibaly in the offensive middlefield) Freiburg has only 1striker availabe who is a joke imo.

Iashvili is just crap..the geogian striker plays in Freiburg since several years but he hasn`t the quality as potential top-scorer.

I`ll wait until tomorrow but if both players mentioned above won`t play i`ll risk KSC -1 incredible odds of 6.60.

KSC always played very good against Freiburg and after their first lost in Karlsruhe last week vs. Aue they surely want to show their abilities as best offensive team in the league again.
I`ll decide tomorrow, but one is for sure....if Offenbach can win with 2goals difference against poor Freiburg at home, than KSC can as well.

And odds of 6.60 in the case that both strikers won`t play tomorrow has an incedible value.

yesterdasy odds were at 6.50 for KSC -1...sorry for the 6.60,was my mistake.
nevertheless I don`t understand why Freiburg is even rated equal her by bookies.
KSC is better postioned, is on of the best away teams, has no injuries and played regularily well against Freiburg.
Nevertheless ,I*M still waiting for the confirmation that Pitroipa and Couilbally will miss the game

ProfitTips, where did you get odds 6.60 for ksc -1 ??

i had the same thougts like you, seeing karlsruhe fully motivated to bounce back from a disappointing result last week in a big way in this derby, but bet365 pays only 5.80 for ksc -1.5 and 4.70 for ksc -1 (what i still consider to be valueable, but 6.60 is of course better)

Here are my ideas for today's matchup Freiburg - KSC...

Coming from a painful and unnecessary loss at home, KSC announced to bounce back in this southern-german derby. Players and coach have stated several times to try to win the last two games before the german winter-break, so I expect a motivated and offensive KSC-side.

The 0:1 loss at home to Aue came to all of us as a surprise, but apart from that game, Karlsruhe did not lose their last 8 games in the league against a good mix of stronger teams attacking and playing an "open" match and poorer teams, that tended to play defensively all match long.

Their clear aim is to move back again to the Bundesliga and I am confident, that they have a great chance of doing so, presenting themselves as a well-mixed team of older and younger players, combining both spirit and experience. Many players originate from the region, so there is a certain identification with their club.

Against Freiburg, they now have the chance to close the gap to league-leaders Rostock (who got a lucky point yesterday at home) to only one point with one game left for both before the winter-break.

I am very confident, that motivation on the KSC-side will be extremely high before tonight's matchup...all important players are ready to play, so coach Becker will field his strongest squad.

Freiburg on the other side has a disappointing season so far. Being a part of the Bundesliga for many years, they had to step down to 2nd division some time ago and are now struggling with their limited opportunities, concerning both money and players.
They have always been a scouting club for others...signing young players and selling them after 2-3 good seasons to bigger clubs.
However, that didn't work out too well in the past 1-2 years and now they are struggling at the end of the league's table, playing very, very unstable.

Volker Finke, their coach, has been there for more than a decade and lately rumors came up to end his contract to make a new start...there is certainly pressure on both the team and the coach.

Their current run is rather poor, no win in last 5 matches, recording 3 losses against minor german clubs. It's an open secret, that coach Finke was unable to form a "team" this season, most players are average individuals, the combination-style of offensive football, Freiburg was famous for, is absolutely missing this season.

They even got some injured players, Soumaila Coulibaly und Jonathan Pitroipa, who will have to play according to their coach.
In my opinion, this displays a desperate situation, having to field 2 injured players in order to compete against one of 2nd divisions strongest teams.

Freiburg is currently 14th, seperated from the relegation-spots only on goal-difference, their motivation in this derby can be expected to be quite high too, though I can not see them winning against KSC.

I thought long about my picks for this matchup and because I dropped the awful Köln-match yesterday (lucky me!!), I will double my stakes on this one. This could be one of the last big german football bets this year, so I expect many punters placing their money...game will be broadcasted live in german free-tv.

Let's get to the odds (bwin)...

20:15

SC Freiburg 2.70 0 3.20 Karlsruher SC 2.40

Surprise, surprise, the 2,4 on KSC are just too good to miss. If they had not lost against Aue at home last round, odds would be ~2 for Karlsruhe, dropping to 1,95-1,90 before the game.
The bookies also see Freiburg's need for a win at home, to ease the pressure of relegation.
However, NOT against this superior KSC-side.
Weather conditions should be alright for this time of the season and the stadium, although rather small, will be sold out for sure with many KSC-supporters making the short trip to Freiburg.

Pick: KSC to win 6/10 (use the x2 for combos)

Over/Under 2,5 goals 1,9/1,8

The over seems likely, if Freiburg manages to score, otherwise it's 50/50.
Take this bet with small-medium stakes or use it in a combo, but not as a banker.
If you want a safety, rather look for the 0:1 or 0:2 than the 1:1, as I see the Over all written on this match, once Freiburg manages to score a goal.

Pick: Over 4/10

SC Freiburg +1 1,48 0 3.95 Karlsruher SC -1 4.9

Again, I don't see Freiburg being that likely to score. Don't get me wrong, it is possible of course, but the HC-pick is worth a shot. With KSC scoring first, Freiburg has to open their "gates", especially dangerous against the best scoring side in the 2nd division.
I will try, since 4,9 in this constellation is value. Small stakes.

Pick: KSC -1 2-3/10

Good luck tonight!

There is NO obvious reason for odds to change like that...I just checked the clubs homepages and supporters-forums, no significant events that would justify odds like this.

Ignore the change, the value has increased...it is well worth a shot.

Those 2 players Coulibaly and Pitroipa are injured (knee and ankle), they are just "on the brink" of playing or not. Due to lack of alternatives on his bench, coach Finke has to let them play.
I would say, they are medium-important for Freiburg, but never ever 100% fit.

Karlsruhe has no important players missing and will field the strongest team tonight.

There is certainly some pressure on both sides in this match, but Karlsruhe has the chance of achieving smth, while Freiburg has to avoid smth.

If I had to choose, I would take Karlsruhe's position. ;-)

Like I said before, KSC are getting tired...more and more.Last week's defeat to Aue wasn't a big surprise considering the way KSC played at Haching a week before...Very tiny bench, so no much room for some rotation system and also their players are getting nervous due to well known fact.A couple of weeks ago everything looked like a dream, but now with big trio Munchen, Duisburg and Lautern only 3pts behind them, the pressure is definitely on them.Freiburg may not be shining this season, but to be honest they were extremely unlucky not to pick up much more points so far.Super attractive football, with a bunch of strong individuals, so KSC will definitely have a hell of the night.Player for player, Freiburg are still the better side, plus they're really fired up for this one.You can expect some enormous pressure on KSC from start, attacking football as this Freiburg side simply doesn't know to play different.Olajengbesi is likely to start this time and with top defender Ibertsberger, who's finally fully fit, they should be tactically much stronger tonight!

Freiburg(2.50) for me!

ProfitTips
11-12-06, 18:30
fully agree with scrat here.
odds change is ridiculous.

After Hansas draw yesterda KSC wouldn`t be unstisfied with a draw, Freiburg on the other hand would continue at the bottom part of the table with a draw.

As already mentioned yesterday, this game is a no bet for me as a KSC supporter.
Nevertheless I took KSC -1 with 1/10.
If KSC wins, good for them good for me as a fan..if they draw...well....i would be dissappointed but no angry.

And if the win with 2goals difference, I`ll be glad concerning the result and of course my won unit.
6.50, as i took it yesterday is not a bet to take with too much confidence, but with incredible value.

We`ll see.....please don`t see this as a pick from me.it`s more a fun bet with incedible value..scrat should be more objective as non-ksc supporter, but he backed KS too

In the last 10matches against KSC, Freiburg won 2times.

Freiburg has always been worse than KSC...it*s the hierarchy in Baden.

Stuttgart - Karlsruhe - Freiburg.

This is the same like decades. I didn`t say thst KSC is huge favourite, but regarding the current circumstances Freiburg has the bigger pressure.

I respect your opinion, but not in such an agressive way as you always write..that`s why you never will be a well honoured and liked tipster here at BA.

i can agree with profit tip

i am far away from Karslruhe (around 400 km) but everybody in Germany knows that Karlsruhe is stronger than Freiburg.Freiburg has problems Coulibaly (the leader of the team) and (Pitripoita) the best striker of Freiburg are questionable!

I will play Karlsruhe for sure!

Really?
I thought he was very popular, having trained Freiburg for 15 years now.

P.S: I knew the kojic would come along with his opposite pick...like always.*lol*

Please, cut the crap...Only a crazy person would say that KSC are favourites here.

kojic...sorry to say so, but u are completely wrong in judging and comparing these two teams...

I don't know anything about you or how close you followed the german leagues for years, but Freiburg is in a CRITICAL situation this season.

They have always been a scouting club and a "pool" for bigger german sides to get players...THIS season smth changed. There is not much money anymore to get players good enough to compete in the 2nd german division, as other clubs around europe offer more and better perspectives. Freiburg's coach stated that HIMSELF several times, probably to explain the poor condition his team is in at the moment.

Please name the great players they have, compared to the KSC-side. I just wondered what those great players did so far this season...don't get me wrong, but I don't know a SINGLE friend of mine who put ANY money on Freiburg today. Some dropped the game, but most money is on the x2/2.

What in the world tells you that Karlsruhe is getting tired?! I see no indications for smth like that and will not comment it any further...
Big Trio...München?!!? Hell, do you know what's going on at 1860?! They are desperately trying to get cash together to play this season...without Bayern's help they would have vanished from professional football.
I hope you have heard about THAT at least...

Sorry, as I said b4, I don't know you or your knowledge in german football, but what you write about Freiburg is crap. Nothing more, nothing less. If your german was good enough I could supply you with lots of links commenting on the poor performances they showed this season.

Please take into regard, that I follow almost every matchday for the 1. and 2. league for years now, live and in reviews later on...the 2nd german division always had its moments...surprises over surprises.

And yes, odds on games like these tend to be a lil over 2, especially on monday evenings, since Aue managed to do a good job against all strong teams they played so far, the defeat last week was not that big surprise..., if KSC won last week, you would see a 2.15 for the away win tonight.

Btw, Karlsruhe played a really ok 2nd half and a draw would have been a just result.

Their motivation will be high tonight, trust me.

Let's just wait and watch the game, but IF you bet on this match, be sure to place money on KSC not to lose at least. I see no value in a straight Freiburg win.

Just my 2 cents...now let's wait for the game to start.

Kojic's Reviews always spice-up the topic :D

I think anyone can say what he think, its good to see different views about the games. its up to the bettor to decide whats hes gonna do with it, anyway, i don't know what will happen here but ill stay away since i see different opinions about the game.

Noone can make sure bets. Kojic have sometimes good tips, sometimes he miss. It is normal.

This time i am glad he missed, because i did put money on AW before he objected other tipsters. I would be more cautios probably after his objection.
But in general i think he do good job.
