Men's Biathlon: Pokljuka - sprint 10km

Frode Andresen - Sven Ficher 2 1,95 (Expekt)

Frode is still is not in his best form, he is fast in x-country but shoot terrible and he is not so fast that he can be among the best with so poor shooting he have showed so far this season. Sven Fisher have not impressed so far either but showed progress in last sprint and he is usually better after christmas. I thinck he will beat Andresen if he not get more than 1-2 penalty round.

Man City disapointed me AGAIN!
They couldn't keep that 1-0 :(

Now a value bet...

Volley, Olympic Qualif.
Germany v Russia [Men]
Germany @5.00 with Gamebookers
LOST (0-3) Anyway, POLAND are shitty!

Stake 3/10. I think it's huge 5.00 on Germany to win. Why?
Russia is already qualified for the semis, and they'll play with their 2nd sqaud (i'm not sure, but i think).
Germany and Poland will fight for the last semifinal spot. Poland has the best chances, because the team plays against the still winless team of Bulgaria. Germany has to defeat Russia, the team that only needs one set to take the group victory.
The games are played in Leipzig, GERMANY!
I think, a narrow win for Germany (3-2).

Anyway...huge value in this...and i couldn't miss it!
GL with your bets!

My pick of the day is quite a risky one. But I like the odds here:

SHOOTING GROUP OF THREE. Biathlon, Men Sprint at Pokljuka.

Oleg Ryzhenkov to beat Matthias Nilsson Jnr. & Frode Andresen.

@2.75 Centrebet.

Oleg Ryzhenkov is actually the best shooter of these three with an average of 78% last season - but at the moment his average is only around 70% and in Sprint only 63%...well, and that's mostly, cause he hit nearly nothing, only 50% at the end...what a desaster for him that day...cause one day before, he hit 18/20 in the 20km competition.
He surely is not going to repeat that bad result of the last competition, and I wanna risk this pick at good odds.

Dead Heat Rule applies. So if p.ex. Nilsson and Ryzhenkov have both 1 mistake, bet is divided by 2.

WON. Nilsson and Ryzhenkov both one mistake, so that makes it won half of it.

Basketball, Euroleague

Partizan Belgrade(-6.5) v Olimpija Ljubljana(+6.5) 2 @1.85(Gamebookers)
Well,I have 5 consecutive losers(some of them were unlucky, and some deserved) so far and it's time for me to take this competition seriously.Olimpija with the handicap +6.5 is going to be my main bet for Thursday.Of course,it could be a risky bet, especialy if we know that Partizan are one of the most talented teams in the Europe at the moment.Their home matches are always something special for them.Even the best teams(Barcelona and Ulker) in the group have had a very hard moments there. They both lost:vs.Ulker 77:68,vs.Barcelona 61:57!But there is a difference, because the hosts haven't been so big favourits, like before this clash. They are currently priced around 1.30-1.40.It's too low,IMO!The difference between these two sides isn't so huge, surely.Partizan are in a little downtrend period lately and it's obvious. They haven't even been so dominant in the S&M league in the last few rounds, like on the start of the season. They are eliminated by Red Star from the S&M Cup as well,a two weeks ago.And that could be a little problem for them, because they didn't play any official match since then, while Olimpija had to play in the Goodyear league. The hosts have a little problems with the squad as well.Their best player this season,Djuro Ostojic, was out because of virus,so he didn't play in Partizan's friendly match against Atlas. He should be ready, but it's questionable how much!?The foreign players were out these days as well. They came on Monday,so they will have only a two days to prepare themselves for Thursday's clash.Like Partizan's coach Dusko Vujosevic said, there is a big fear that Partizan will not take Olimpija so seriously as they should. Also,he has the fear that there will not be too many fans after their elimination from the cup.He has the right, because Partizan have always a big problems against teams who are not so attractive. On the other hand,Olimpija Ljubljana are exactly that kind of teams. They are good and experienced enaugh to punish an every mistake. They played in Belgrade allready this season, against Red Star(Goodyear league),so the hot atmosphere shouldn't make any problems to them. Before their match against Red Star, there was the same situation.Olimpija were a big outsiders in that match, but have won without any problems.I expect a tight match here as well. There is a one more advantage for O.Ljubljana.They played an official match a few days ago(Goodyear league) and have won easily(vs.Zagreb 90:59).Quite simply,Olimpija Ljubljana are one of the best basketball teams from ex-YU at the moment, and I really expect a very tight match here. The away win can't be surprise at all.IMO,the visitors have around 40-45% of chances against Partizan.

Linkoping v Farjestad away 2.2@gamebookers

LInkoping has a lot of injuries, and if a team is capable of using it, it should be Farjestad.
Besides, Farjestad lost last game 3:2, after leading 2:0, so it can be sure they won't relax too early today.
Odds on the same game two months ago would be something like 3.5 - 1.6.

My 6th pick from Russian Hockey SuperLeague:

Himik v Lada Toliati draw (@ 5.0 at Gamebookers)

Himik does not lose at home last 7 matches. From 5 last matches 4 have ended to DRAW in FT. Both teams play much low score matches, Himik need points it is more necessary than Lada, but plays more poorly and score not enough goals at home. Lada have strong defense and problems with attack in away matches. Draw is very possible result for me, without overtime of course. Odd is exellent for this.

PANATHINAIKOS (Greece) VS ZALGIRIS KAUNAS (Lithuania)

Pick:
1 (-5.5)

Odds:
1.90

Bookie:
Centerbet

Result:
91-80 WON (looks like Im back on track :D )

===========================================
REASONS

Panathinaikos today will celebrate his 1000 Europian games and the climate will be really hot in Patisia.Without any injury problems,PAO needs the win with point difference so as to make it ot the 3d place of the group.Mr Obradovic stated that Zalgiris is not only Sabonis and that they should be aware of other players too! This will clearly be a game for Centers as Zalgiris has 2 great centers (Sabonis and Beard) and Panathinaikos will be with Batist who is fit to play and Midleton. If Panathinaikos will be able to control the rebounds they will win and cover the 5.5 points.

Good Luck with your choice!!

Vancouver Canucks v Los Angeles Kings 2 @ 2.20 @ Pinnacle
lost Vancouver at Los Angeles 3 1

gamebookers offers 2.10 for this but every point is crucial in this potd

Vancouver Canucks (22-11-6-2)
Los Angeles Kings (16-13-7-4)

Oct 30, 2003 Vancouver at Los Angeles 3 - 1
Dec 22, 2003 Los Angeles at Vancouver 4 - 4

kings will be playing canucks after drawing with anaheim yesterday. they have been scoring lately and conceding a bit much at the same time. 3 ties, 1otl and 1 l at the last 5 games. and the winless streak is going on for 9 games. It is time they put a period to this bad timez. this streak is the longest since a 10 winless at 1996 ;)
Canucks won 3 of 5 and lost 2, to San jose 1-2 last game in the last minutes. This game will be a goal duel and i hope goalie Cechmanek, who let in only one goal of the 4-4 tie, will start the game in his second game after being removed from injury list.
couldnt write much about canucks since all the pressure is on LA and the game is at staples.

good luck to all

So, another valuebet from me :)

POLAND - AZERBEIJAN AWAY@7.00 in Betandwin
BET WON 0:3.... A lot of ppl in POland earned nice money on that game.

Here you have some tables:
Group A:
1. Polska 2-0 4 6:3
2. Germany 1-1 3 5:3
3. Russia 1-1 3 4:4
4.Azerbejd?an 0-2 2 1:6

Germany won with Russia 3:2 which is not included here.

Group B:
1. Italy 2-1 5 7:4
2. Turkey 2-0 4 6:2
3. Bu?garia 1-2 4 5:6
4. Holland 0-2 2 0:6

If Poland will lose AND Turkey will win then Poland will meet with Turkey in 1/2-final. I think that we prefer to play with them then to fight with Italy. Some value here and this is my POTD. [this is women volleyball]

Game stars at 16 CET, so I am only 3 minutes late (please excuse me, tahoma ;))

Casabel, i wish PAO wins by 6  .

PAO Athens – Zalgiris Kaunas (+6.5) 2, 1.85 @ Expekt lost (91-80)

Panathinaikos’ fans (3-4) probably can’t remember when was the last time they finished first round of the matches with the score under 50%.But, that’s their reality nowdays, they’re still very good team with the same, good-old coach, but, simply, they’re not final four team anymore. They aren’t topping the table of the national championship eather (won easily vs.Iraklis on Sunday), but still they’ll have a lot of chances to improve their position there. On the other hand, defeat tomorrow could cost them a top 16 spot.
Talking about final four potentials, Zalgiris (4-3) is again one of the favourites. It’s not hard to guess who’s the player who brought them a new look – Euroleague MVP so far, Arvydas Sabonis. This man is even in his early 40s the best in Europe. And, actually center line is the part of the team which should be big advantage of the Lithuanian greens tomorrow.Sabas-Beard is the strongest center line in Europe, imo, and Mujezinovic (probably won’t play due to injury), Tsartsaris, Middleton don’t look capable of confonting them.I expect a low scoring game with tough defenses.Price for straight away win is great, still since PAO is always tough to break at home i took Zalgiris to win or not to lose by more than 6 points.

Ok, here we go again.

MoDo-HV 71 2@2,40 with unibet. Bet won, 1-3

Why, because MoDo got a lucky break against Färjestad on Tuesday, that was a lucky break indeed.
They stiull has 3 losses in 4 games, and to make matters even worse they can add captain Wernblom to their list of injuries today as he suffered a concussion on Tuesday.
HV lost at home to Leksand after recovering a 0-3 deficit to 3-3 just to lose in the final minutes 3-4.
They will be looking for redemption tonight and this is a good bet as MoDo still has poor form and many injuries.

Here is my 3rd POD:

Levante - Barcelona  2  1.90 @ interwetten

Barcelona lost in last round against Racing with Rustu's help..
And Levante won at home against strong Cadiz.. (2-1) and they're leader of Segunda Division.. And didn't lose thier last 6 matches in this league..

Barcelona take this cup very seriously.. And also they owe a sorry for their supporters..
Levante won against Terrasa and Mallorca earlier in this cup.. But Barcelona is very enough to defeat them in both matches.. However doesn't matter how they play..

I'm gonna take for Barca...

08-01-04, 14:34
My pick for today is a value bet Levante vs Barcelona draw @ 3.5 @ Betandwin
Draws is the most possible outcome in Spanish cup matches mostly because there is a second leg that the away side feels a bit secure if they don't lose the first match. Levante recent results indicate that next season they will be in Primera Division...they have a very strong home ground where they haven't suffered any defeat this year.In the previous round of the cup when they hosted Mallorca,a team that traditionally advances to the final phases of the Spanish Cup,even playing with not the regural squad they won quite easily 2-0.In this match Barca's coach won't feel so safe after a possible defeat.Since Barca's injured players are now even more a draw could suit them-the win would be perfect but I doubt if they can achieve it after the latest poor perfomances.Levante's players will be highly motivated knowing that all eyes will be on them tonight and will do their best!

ottawa sens should beat the leafs tonight
with all the players missing (sundin nolan reichel kaberle mogilny belfour)and few more, i dont know , it might not be a banker coz it looks like too easy win
but still i think the sens might find someway to win this game vs the leafs
they hate each other and the leafs won at ottawa this year that might be a revenge game. EXPEKT 2.60

So my POD today will be from NHL :D

Los Angeles Kings - Vancouver Canucks Pick: 2 Odds: 2,3 at Ladbrokes

So we have different views for this game. Kings are one of better offensive teams in the league, especially in home games, where they are ranked as 3rd team, but their defense is disastrous. They are in bottom, and also in home games are even worse than in away games.

As for the Vancouver - they are great playing, especially in away games, where their defense fast always gives them good results. In my rankings they are equally on 7th place on offence and defence in away games, both above league averages, but what counts is their consistency in both aspects of the game.

Kings are in good period in home games not losing for 9 games, but last 5 ended with a drawm so sth else should happen here. They are scoring less goals in recent games and their defense is as always streaky.

As for Canucks, they are in great period right now, having 4W and 1D in last 5 away games. and they won in colorado and two times with great defensive unit from Calgary. They are scoring more lately and should have here even 4 goals. Also their defense is steady and I don't see how Kings, with their worse offensive performances, could score here more than two times.

So I see here good value, as there should be at least 50% chances for Canucks win. Still my analysis is purely a statistical one, so take a look at other people's opinion, especially these, who know this league.

Good Luck.

Pau Orthez - Cibona Zagreb (+2,5) ---> away win ---> odds 2,00 @ Centrebet WRONG!

My 3rd pick (again ), so far 1 pick correct, profit is amasing and respectable +0 units...

Prediction here ---> http://www.bettingadvice.com/showPredictionsLeague.php?idMenu=306

Prediction refers to straight away win, but this bet is almost the same...
Only fact changed since I posted my prediction is that Pau Orthez will miss some players, even better!

Since straight away win and +4,5 points handicap away win are allready taken, I posted different handicap, I am not sure if it's allowed to do so...
If not, please delete this post! Thanks in advance.

My pick for tooday:
Spain, Copa Del Ray:
Levante vs Barcelona HT/FT 2/2 3.20 at Ladbrokes
Previous games in Cup:
2nd round:
Terrasa - Levante 0-1
Gramanet - Barcelona 0-1

2nd round:
Levante - Mallorca 2-0
Ciudad - Barcelona 0-4

Barcelona in Primera on 12 place 6-6-6 23-25

Levante on top in Segundawith 9-8-1 20-8
and have good chances to take place in Primera

I think, that will be difficult for Barca to put in CL this year and much more easy way to eurocups - winning Cup.

And for Levante struggle for place in Primera is more important than place in next round of Cup.

Sure away win, may be to nil.

Good Luck!

NCAAB UW-Green Bay-9 (1.926 @ Pinnacle) over Youngstown State

UWGB Phoenix (9-4) are riding a seven game winning streak and have won every game at the home court this year. Ever since Kowalczyk took over as head coach, this team has gotten considerably better, and they have a very nice leader in Brandon Morris who transferred to the team. Youngstown State's (3-9) backcourt is considerably less talented. The Penguins do have some better guys in the paint, but in college basketball I'll normally go with the better backcourt players. Youngstown State has had a really disappointing season, and against a common opponent in Wright State, they lost at home by double digits despite being favored, and UWGB won away to Wright State, who's known to play good defense in this confernce. So far this season, UWGB has played down to their level of lowly opponents, but they're looking for some measure of revenge for getting bounced in a hard-fought season-ending conference tournament last year. UWGB might be looking ahead to Saturday's home game against a Butler team which is normally one of the Horizon Conferences powers, but is having a down year, and were upset by the Phoenix at home. I think UWGB is too good for Youngstown State and should be able to pull away considerably late.

UWGB are one of the suprising teams of the early season, and have caught linemakers off guard. I think they've caught up to this team by now. The line opened up at 8 at some books, and is now at 8.5 at Bet365 @ 1.90, but I'll take the higher line and marginally lower vig for the purposes of this competition.

Icehockey, Sweden, Elitserien

Djurgården-Västra Frölunda 2 ----> 3.00 @Expekt Bet won, 0-2

Well, there's really only one reason for me taking this pick. In my opinion Frölunda is the better of these two teams, even when playing away from home. You might argue that Frölunda is awful away from home and that's true, but my theory is that it's like that because of motivation. Frölunda can motivate themselves to win at home in front of a full house, but find motivation a lot harder to find away from home. But there's a lot of prestige in this game after some previous tough play off battles between these two teams, the rivalry between Stockholm and Gothenburg, and I believe that Frölunda will do everything they can to spoil Espen Knutsens welcome home-party. Either way I expect a very tough game, and if you count out a draw, my estimation is that the teams have about a 50/50 chance to win, so all the value lies on Frölunda here.

Hi guys!

IMO there are few guood bets in NHL tonight (Philly, San Jose, Montreal, Ottawa), but the stakes are too low. I had the worst start possible to our competition and I have to "hit a jackpot" in order to return among the living! So I'll go for all or nothing here:

Villareal - Sevilla HT/FT X/1 4,75 Gamebookers

Lost result HT 1-0!! AAAHHH

Villareal are doing very well this year. They are currently in 6th place just 1 point from the CL spot. Players understand eachother very-well and play defencive football. At home always as expected they play attacking football and give a real run to visitors no matter who they are. So tonight they face Sevilla, which are standing suprisingly well in La Liga. They are in the middle of the table (11th position), but they won most of their points at home. They are just 1-4-4 on away matches, they lost 4 of their last 5 matches away.
BUT one thing is true! This is cup competition and nothing is the same in this matches. So the statistics from the league don't help us much! I think it's going to be a close match between two teams that have solid defences, so as I predicted the first half should end in a draw and then Villareal MUST score the winner! :D That would make me very happy! :P The history isn't quite on Villareal's side cause they have won only once against Sevilla in last 6 matches . But Villareal has a very solid squad with great attackers and are in form now.

I'll say it once again (damn I sound like a broken record): Lady luck come my way PLEASE! I've picked a wild one again, but I messed up (I was unlucky) at the start, so now I have to try it!

Good luck guys!

This time I pick NBA:

New York Knicks - Houston Rockets NY Knicks - Houston Rockets Over 172.5 (1.95) @ UNIBET
WON final score NYKnicks- H.Rockets 79-111 (=190 points)

Well, NY Knicks and Rockets are "low scoring teams" BUT i have some arguments that this meeting will be a game in which a lot of points will be scored.
Knicks gained a superb player- Stephon Marbury. Now they are playing very offensive basketball. I am sure that they will score more than 100 points tonight, especially after a disapointing loose to Cleveland 97:107.

Houston should score at least 85 points tonight, and if they I do I will be sure of the outcome of my pick.

There will be a fight in NY City, a very offensive basketball. Both teams will score many points and 172,5 to beat isn't realy a lot :)

Knicks on a losing streak started off by a loss to the bulls at home. Knicks have drop a couple of other easy home games and this will lose this one too however Houston on the other side have capitalized by winning on weak opponents.

NCAAB:

Illinois Chicago- Loyola Chicago +11,5 AWAY WIN @1,98 Pinnacle 77-59 LOST
Road team is 4-3 so far in away games. 11,5 ( +12 at the begining) is a line which might be difficult to cover for a home team that is 6-6-1 ATS. When you look at the last 3 games you will see there big rivalry between those two and games are usually close ones. 65-66, 81-77 in 2003, 75-76 in 2002. The stats numbers don't justify such a big spread as the visitors have better percentage of avarage points for, FG% and Reb. in offence...
Confidence 6/10 as I'm not college sports expert.

NY Islanders vs Edmonton Oilers pick 1 @ 2.00 @ Ladbrokes Won 3-2

Islanders on 16th place , they played 40 games , and have 42 points on that moment. Several former Islanders are currently playing for the Oilers, including goaltender Tommy Salo, forwards Brad Isbister and Raffi Torres and defenseman Eric Brewer. In last game they lost to NJ in OT (2-3). "We got sloppy," Islanders coach Steve Stirling said. "They were working all night. We were working in spurts."
Oilers on 22nd place, they played 40 games like Islanders , but have not so good record , that's why they have only 38 points , anyway , not so big difference.
Statistic :
Nov 8, 2002 NY_Islanders - Edmonton 4 - 2
Mar 13, 2003 Edmonton - NY_Islanders 2 - 5
Dec 18, 2001 NY_Islanders - Edmonton 4 - 1
Feb 16, 2001 Edmonton - NY_Islanders 2 - 4

I think that Stirling will do right conclusion after lose to NJ , and they will try to win tonight , at Nassau Coliseum. So , my pick , is Islanders to win tonight

Both teams play offensive hockey, give up alot of shots and can score goals. 90% of the meetings between these clubs ended over, so again why not tonight?

Good luck

Australia vs India

India to win @ 2.75 with Bet 365

PICK LOST

Match starts at c3.15am so I assume like American Sports it gets placed in this thread. India recently completed a test series drawing 1-1 and can take a lot of confidence going into this one day tournament. They have the best batting, Australia have better bowling but if India win the toss then this should be an evens shot at winning. If they don't the Australia will probably set a fairly big total and it will be up to the likes of Sehwag & Tendulkar to chase it down. I like India to take another win from the mighty Australians in their own backyard and plenty of value at 2.75 but loads more at 3.15 on Betfair.
