Werder Bremen : Borussia Dortmund
Werder Bremen is my favourite team this season in Bundesliga this season, they have a very good team, a spectacular display, is a very offensive team and Diego is an exceptional player. Their main concern is the fact that they have to play in both Champions League and Bundesliga and this could be very difficult unless they have the resurces to face both challenges. Untill now, they were able and lucky enough to do that, but they can't afford many mistakes as it happened two rounds ago, when they drew agains Cottbus on home ground. Winning the Bundesliga means no mistakes against the midd-table teams and the game against Borussia is another game of this kind.
Borussia Dortmund are strong again in the away games, like they were in the last season, but weak in the home games. In the last two games, both played at home, Borussia drew against Aachen and Biefeld. It looks like they have troubles scoring, after they only managed 13 goals in 11 rounds.
In the past 10 games against each other, werder won 5 times and lost 4 times, while one game ended with a draw. Last season, Werder won both games, 3-2 on the home ground and 1-0 away.
I will go for a home win, as I consider Werder far better than Dortmund and they are more determined and have a better form:

Well, talking about form, Borussia are hardly impressive, but on the other hand you can't break them down easily. With 2-5-1 in the last 8 league matches, their form is still very good. They didn't show too much class against Alemannia Aachen on Tuesday night, but generally it was all about them for most of the match. They were all over Aachen, creating a a couple of big chances and even a pure stats suggests you who was in the commanding position over 90 minutes(Goal Attempts: 26-6, Corners: 13-6)!Keep in mind, Werder were extremely lucky against both Cottbus and Nurnberg, especially against Nurnberg who blew up a lot of great chances.
My 2 cents....Borussia Dortmund have trouble winning games as their strikers just don't seem to be the classical goalgetters. Valdez already missed loads of chances when he played for Bremen, while also Smolarek is not a striker from which you expect more than 10 goals a season, which means the burden lies heavily on Frei for delivering the goals. While Dortmund hardly win games, they remain a tough nut to crack as actually they only lost 1 of their 12 games so far this season with a higher margin than 1 goal which was their season opener at Bayern. In this light the value on the +1 AH seems to be with the visitors here also as Bremen are showing some signs of fatigue as the individual class of their key players brought them the win at Nurnberg in mid week.
I am on Werder tomorrow.
They are now well recovered from the flu, no championship match is comming soon. The playing style of such slow defensive teams like Dortmund suits them very well as they tend to consistently break any defence . They will be motivated to win this after the draw with cottbus.
Dortmung has a chance if they manage to score a goal or two. But I don't see that happen.
Good news for my bet
GER 1.Bundesliga, Injuries, November 10 - 09.11.2006
Werder Bremen 24 BOROWSKI Tim MRLC *** BACK from injury 5 / 11
Werder Bremen 9 ZIDAN Mohamed FC * BACK from injury 2 / 11
Werder Bremen 6 BAUMANN Frank (cpt.) DMC ** INJURED 11 / 11

Werder Bremen 20 JENSEN Daniel DMC * INJURED 3 / 11
Dortmund 5 KEHL Sebastian DMC *** INJURED 1 / 11
Dortmund 6 KRINGE Florian MRLC ** INJURED questionable 11 / 11
Dortmund 23 DEGEN Phillip DR ** INJURED 9 / 11
Dortmund 21 METZELDER Christoph DC ** INJURED 1 / 11
Dortmund 20 MEIER Bernd GK * INJURED 0 / 11
Dortmund 18 RICKEN Lars AM/FRC * INJURED 2 / 11
I believe Werder should win this with ease. Dortmund are still missing some important players through injuries, and the likes of Metzelder, Ricken and Kehl are hard to replace. Werder is missing Zidan and Borowski, but the rest of their important players are healthy and ready to go. I think that Werder will try to keep the momentum they created by moving further adrift form Bayern. With the win against Dortmund, Bremen would move to nine points in front of Bayern and that is something they want to achieve.

Can't You read?
Borowski is BACK after being out for more than month.
Zidan is not important.
Baumann is important and is out (though all other starters are healthy so it should be easily compensated).
Metzelder and Kehl both got injured in first game of championship so by now Dortmund surely somehow figured out how to replace them, I mean they didn't lose all games since then.
As about game, Bremen won Dortmund at home in last 3 seasons, so there's no reason's they wouldn't repeat it in their best season for years. Meanwhile Dortmund is not having great season at least and if most of us were reluctant to back them against Aachen I can't see why taking them against hotest team in the league. Sure Werder win for me, I sincereously doubt they'll censor up things in two home games in a row. Though, odds seems to be on the edge of having value if having any at all.
Leverkusen - Bayern Munchen - 2 - 2.25
I think to play win for Bayern Munchen because they really need this win. I think after their loss from Hannover they will play strong and will win this one. Would somebody tell me will Lucio and Podolski play because they are very important players. Also the value is excellent. When Bayern want they win.
Hertha - Bochum - 1- 1.60
Schalke 0 Mainz - 1- 1.45
The hosts are much stronger teams. They are on the top of the table. And visitors are much weaker teams and they are on the bottom of the table. I think - clear home wins with goof values
What do people think of the Werder Bremen/Hansa Rostock double.
Although Hansa are not my favourite team to beat on as they don't score many goals and wins make you sweat even when they do win. But at home to bottom placed Braunschweig who are unbelievably bad.
Hansa had a good away win in midweek and remain unbeaten this season, surely a good bet at odds of around 1.4.
Werder Bremen are playing so well this season and scoring goals for fun, they are going to win the league this year and I feel they will have no problems disposing of Dortmund.
The double pays over 2.05, I think its a great double your money bet.
Would you agree?

Take it easy men, we're all wanting the same thing here. Opusti prijatelju, ne znam tko te to ljuti. Metzelder and Kehl are way to important, and Dortmund simply don't have players who could replace them. I know Tim Borowski recovered form injury, but I heard Thomas Scaaf talking that he will probably keep Borowski on the sidelines until he fully recoveres.
Borowski will play - this is Werder lineup for today:
Reinke, Wiese, Pasanen, Fritz, Mertesacker, Naldo, Wome, Andreasen, Schulz, Vranjes, Frings, Jensen, Borowski, Diego, Hunt, Klasnic, Almeida, Klose.
for bremen - dortmund i can see some good value in the under 2,5
dortmund will most probably play very defensive, and wait for counters, the last 5 games were all under. dortmund plays good defense but hardly scores.
bremen on the other hand looked a bit tired the last two games, they could have lost against cottbus and the victory against nürnberg was also not that clear because of some controversial decisions from the referee.
the most problable result is another three points for bremen, but i don't see a lot of goals, more than two goals only if dortmund will also score as i don't expect a 3:0 result or more for bremen.
correct score: perhaps 2:0 or 1:0
very generous odds @ 2,4 bwin
GL :D
i'm again on HSV becouz i just cant get it , how this team manage last year with the same players to finish in top of the table and now they are low with only 1 win after many games and big loss..... anywayz i just cant see it keep going its must end and i guess its the right time now to take them....
probably high stakes for me still thinking... gl.

Werder Bremen - B. Dortmund
Pick: Werder Bremen (-1) AH
Odds: 1.88 @ BetFair / 1.85 PointBet
Stake: 6/10
Form: Werder is without loss for 7 matches in a row, and when they are winning they are winning with style. They won 4 matches with more than one goal difference and they trashed Bochum 0:6 and Mainz 1:6 in their away matches. At home they only drew with Cottbus, but they were creating a lot of chances on that match, but their finishing wasn't at their best.
Dortmund is 6 matches without loss, but they win only one of those 6 matches. They sre struggling to find the neccessary form especially the form in the offensive line.
Reasons for: Werder is playing very good football at the moment, creating great number of chances, dominating in their games, and with few exceptions trashing their opponents. Now playing at home where full stadium is expected, I cannon expect less than easy home win. This is more likely because Werder failed to win in their previous home match so the owe to their fans a win. After the bigest upset so far, when Hannover beated Bayern in Munchen, Schaaf, the players and the fans knows that this is the right time to take as many as possible points in order to make their lead as big as possible
Reasons against: Firday night, everyone will be on Werder and when all punters are on the same team, there are no few cases when that team fails to win. Valdez, Dortmund attacker (ex Werder) would give his best to show that he Werder made a mistake with his transfer.
Team news: Borowski is back in the Werder midfield (but what is his form I can just guess). Captain Baumann is injured (important player). Owomoyela is still out and Zidan is doubtful (both are reserves). Dortmund has bigger problems with their squad, very important players Kehl and Metzelder are still injured, Ricked too, and Kringe is questionable.
Expectations for the match: Werder to start attacking as always and putting huge pressure on Dortmund's goal. Dortmund has option to sit back and wait to score through counter attacks, but this option is very risky if Werder scores early, and if Dortmund starts with attacking style (which I doubt) Werder will trash them easily. I believe that Werder is too strong for mediocre Dortmund team. Easy win is expected
Probable line-ups:
Werder Bremen: Wiese - C. Fritz, Mertesacker, Naldo, Womé - Frings - Vranjes, Borowski - Diego - Klose, Hunt
Borussia Dortmund:
Weidenfeller - Kringe, Amedick, Wörns, Dede - Kruska - Tinga, Pienaar - Smolarek, Frei, Valdez
Werder won last three matches between these two teams at home, two of them with more than one goal difference.
i'm again on HSV becouz i just cant get it , how this team manage last year with the same players to finish in top of the table and now they are low with only 1 win after many games and big loss..... anywayz i just cant see it keep going its must end and i guess its the right time now to take them....

If HSV has no serious absences, then backing them is indeed a good bet against the worst away team in Bundesliga.
Borussia Monchengladbach is in a bad form, they lost at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek...well, if Hamburg cannot manage to beat this team at home, then they have to think seriously about playing in Bundesliga 2 next year!
In my opinion HSV surely has the players to avoid relegation, so one way or another they're gonna win this one.
I think I 'll take HSV at 1.75.
It seems like the best bet in Bundesliga this round.
the best pick in this round is imo on bayer leverkusen
of course not a banker, but with odds @ 3,45 very valueable!!
leverkusen is playing quite well at the moment, the mixture of young and talented players with older and experienced players seems to work. coach skibbe is doing a very solid job. barbarez, who came from hamburg is getting better and better, voronin is in great form at the moment and so are most of the others.
the last two home matches against mainz and hamburg were really disappointing, only one point. away from home they gathered six points, beating mönchengladbach and bochum. but now it's time again to win a home match, and against bayern münchen they will be extra motivated. in the past the encounters between these two teams were always hard fights with a lot of goals.
on the other side, bayern is in a crisis, nobody knows exactly why, even not coach felix magath and manager uli hoeness. magath was asked in an interview after the home defeat against the last placed hannover: "what's was the problem in today's match?" and he answered: "you're not the only one who wants to know this...". meanwhile hoeness didn't even want to talk to any reporter, he only declared very angryly after the disappointing draw against schalke that he don't care about the table and what is bremen or anybody else doing, because they are only ridiculous three points behind bremen and in the end they will be champions.
ok, now they are six points behind bremen and everybody is expecting bremen to win against dortmund.
what i saw on wednesday against hannover was really not a future champion, no movement on the pitch, no pressure on the opponent, awful performance, hannover only needed one chance to score and then defended well without major problems.
the pressure on bayern is getting pretty big and at the moment they don't look like the are able to cope with it.
verdict: at the moment, leverkusen is just playing better than bayern. they will be fully motivated to kick their rivals from the past years deeper into crisis and take the victory at home.
also an over 2,5 and both teams to score is quite probable, as the past encounters show us, but the odds @ 1,55 are not that juicy.
i would recommend medium stakes 5/10 on leverkusen

I have HSV @1.82 large stakes this weekend.
It's one of the best bets this weekend.
On ARD u can see that Gladbach have only 3 unexperiened defenders in the team. The absence of Bogelund, Janssen, Daems is crucial.
Home Win banker !!
I'll try Dortmund (+1) Asian - opposite on most of the other opinions Dortmund are not easy to beat and even if they lose with one goal difference you got your money back. It's not great explanation but it;s simple and logical and the value is good - odds around and over 2,00 - small to medium stakes
I've edited my post ..but still the bet is the same

it will be so big for hearha and schalke
question is ?
does lincoln play tomorrow?
I'm expecting a certain answer
....
good luck
Hats off to all of you who said Dortmund would get a result tonight.
I think my problem is that I don't watch any German football, we don't have it here in England - we have England, Spain and Italian leagues on tv only. Having not seen Dortmund play for a few years - since they were good in Europe, I thought Dortmund were a wounded team after their financial problems and losing players like Rosicky. I totally underestimated them from the form stats.
Its like here in England I have a much better idea of how good teams are as I watch so much football. It is important to know how good a team is playing and how strong they are. I mean a team can lose a match but totally dominate and the opposition goal keeper has a fantastic game. The form would show a loss, but I wouldn't know that they were actually dominant and if they played again it could be very different.
I think if I do bet on European leagues I really should watch out for people doubting the predictions - as people did here in the Bremen game, as too the Koblenz game tonight, Koln game on wednesday, Basel game last night, etc.
Its a shame this bet lost, bad way to start the weekend, but hopefully some lessons learnt.
hi guys,
can someone who knows about german football tell me what he thinks about what he thinks about the most possible outcome for these 3 games:
-Leverkusen - B. München
-Schalke - Mainz 05
-Hertha Berlin - Bochum
a very big thanks !!!
if anyone needs something about french football just let me know !

2. Hamburger – Mönchengladbach 1.75 /3.30/4.10
What to say about this match. I think it will be one of the most interesting in this round.
Why : Well HSV is still without win on home ground and Gladbch is with all 5 defeats on all 5 away matches.
The question is , will HSV make first win on home ground or will the guest take their first point on away match.
I think it’s time for first win of HSV. HSV is not that bad team like the table tells. They have a lot of quality first team players injured - Sorin, Reinhardt, Kompany, Demel i de Jong – all these players will not play on this match.
There is chances for comeback of Wicky i Benjamin , but hey are not fully fit for whole match.
For guest will not play : Svensson, Daems, Jansen, Svärd, Bögelund i Kirch (all injured)
HSV on last matches had not enough luck. On last match (with Stuttgard) they played really well but and the end , again and again they were defeated.
The problem with HSV is not in defence niether in middle line. The problem is in attack and very bad realisation. Ljubija needs 1000 chances to score , copy of Ljuboja ( or even worse from him) is Sanogo. The only good forward is young Guerrero who has talent but have not experience.
Gladbch main player is Argentinian Insua. If he play good than there is some chances to get point from HSV. Gladbach is team which can not come bach if they recived goal.
Possible line-ups:
HSV: Wächter - Fillinger, Klingbeil, Mathijsen, Atouba - Feilhaber - Jarolim, Trochowski - van der Vaart - Sanogo, Guerrero
Borussia M'gladbach: Keller - Helveg, Levels, Zé Antonio, Compper - Delura, Polanski, Kluge - Insua - Kahe, Neuville
My Pick : HSV Win 1 ; 8/10
Bochum(7.80) to beat Hertha BSC
All those "public" bets are just a pure joke without a doubt...Just like Werder Bremen yesterday. The comments are mainly coming from people who have no clue what they're really talking about. So, just a couple of words of warning about this match, before those smart people start talking about "public" best and Kojic2003 being against them.
Hertha are by far the better side in overall, with the home advantage, much better form and surely more class than Bochum.Everyone knows that, but the way they play at the moment is ridiculous.Lack of creativity, never able to control the match and generally they play amazingly slow football which should perfectly suit Bochum who got two very dangerous players up front - Fabio Junior and Gekas! After 11 rounds, even a blind man can see that Bochum are one of the biggest underachievers in 1.Bundesliga so far, alongside HSV!The side possess enough class to finish in the top of the table, just like a couple of years ago. They have played some great football all season and the current league position is nothing else but a pure coincidence.Long-term injury Tommy Bechmann is still missing, Drsek is also likely to miss the match through injury, but actually there's no big blows here.Bochum coach Koller is able to field his strongest possible side as captain Zdebel is set to make his return from suspension(old story! :D ), while key midfielder Misimovic is also fit and available for selection.Very strong lineup and very strong bench as well(Auer, Trojan, van Hout, experienced Wosz,...) and Bochum are surely capable of making an upset in Berlin with these guys!
Hertha played some extremely poor football at Bielefeld a few days ago. They were put on the back foot for most of the match, especially in the first half and obviously they didn't change too much in their game after a very lucky 2:1 win over Nurnberg! The absence of Basturk(missing also today's match) is simply too much for them.Gilberto is very good, but he's completely different type of player.More like a left back/winger...Now, according to latest news, another key midfielder Dardai is a major doubt and his absence could be a big problem as Hertha simply lack quality midfielders this season(Boateng lacks consistency, Cairo is great player, but he's winger just like Gilberto and also out of form, while the combination of two mediocre players in the middle - Dejagah and Chahed doesn't work).Key defender Simunic is also very doubtful!
If Bochum keeps the level from the last few weeks, then a possible surprise in this match is surely not out of question against this Hertha!
Leverkusen - Bayern
FC Bayern have won only one of their last four league fixtures and have lost three and drawn one of their four most recent away games.
Lucio has resumed training after recovering from sprained ankle ligaments but is not yet fit enough to start against his former club, and the lengthy injury list at the Säbener Strasse leaves Magath with few tried and trusted alternatives. Fortunately, Roy Makaay, Claudio Pizarro and Philipp Lahm have all reported fit from a dose of the flu.
Leverkusen will also be below full strength, as coach Skibbe is definitely without Roque Junior (Achilles), Gonzalo Castro (shoulder) and Paul Freier (suspended), with a question-mark over Lucio's fellow Brazil centre-half Juan (facial cut). On the plus side, experienced warhorse Carsten Ramelow is set to return from an ankle problem.
Probable line-ups:
Bayer Leverkusen: Butt - Schwegler, Madouni, Haggui (Juan), Babic - Schneider, Ramelow, Rolfes, Barnetta - Barbarez, Voronin
Bayern Munich: Kahn - Lell (Sagnol), van Buyten, Demichelis, Lahm - Salihamidzic, Ottl, van Bommel, Schweinsteiger - Pizarro, Makaay
Also in matchday squad: Rensing, Dos Santos, Karimi, Santa Cruz, Scholl, Saba, Maierhofer
Referee: Dr. Markus Merk (Otterbach)
Bayern's record in the fixture: P27 W11 D 5 L11 F46 A43
Medium stakes on FC Bayern

I*M suprised that noone has considered taking HSV - Gladbach Under.
Odds around 1.85 are juicy. HSV at home with 4goals in 5matches, Gladbach away with 3goals in 5matches.
HSV will be without Guererro today...so 2jerks will play as strikers. Sanogo & Lluboja.
So who will be able to score goals for HSV?
Probably Van der Vaart, but not more than 1.
On the other side, Neuville for Gladbach?
I rate him rather unpredictable.
I don*T trust HSV since the beginning of the season,so why take HSV home win @1.75 if you get the under @ better odds!

Sorry guys for Werder :(
Leverkusen - Bayern M.
Bayern in their midweek match lost at home from Hannover after shameful performance. I know that after that match, atmosphere in the team is not good at all, but Bayern is Bayern because no player is bigger than the team and I expect from them to put great performance and to beat Leverkusen. Now they have motivation plus because Werder faild to take single point from yesterday's match and now if Bayern wins, the point gap between these two teams will be just 3 points.
I know that Bayern is terrible in away matches this season, but this match is not like the previous ones. Bayern needs to attack and everything exept win in Leverkusen will be huge dissapointment for the team. I know that Bayern is great team and only great teams can overcome this kind of situations.
Leverkusen is notning more than mediocre team this season. Although they won 1:3 at Bochum in their previous match, they are not playing on the level that will bring European place.
2.30 odds on Bayern??? The odds are huge and the only reason for this high odds is thier failure to beat Hannover at home. If they won that match, I doubt we'll get odds higher than 2.00.
Leverkusen is without Juan and Ramelow who are players of great importance for the team. Also Freier is suspended and he is player from which shots and crosses are scored many goals.
Bayern M. is without longterms, Ismael, Hargreaves, Deisler and Lucio and Podolski.
I know that Bayern is not playing well at the moment, but I think that they much better team than Leverkusen and I expect them to bounce back on this match.
Pick: Bayern -1/4, Odds: 2.16, Stake: 3, Bookmaker: Pointbet
Pick: over 2.5 goals, Odds: 1.80, Stake: 4, Bookmaker: Bet365
curious match at leverkusen... bayern was good in the first half, could have been up by at least two goals, but after ht they stopped playing and leverkusen was much better, but when they were up 2:1, they also completely stopped playing and bayern came back
looks like bayern just found what they've lost in the last few games, something that we in germany call "bayern-dusel", the ability to score goals exactly when they are needed, especially within the last ten minutes

Really good effort that bet. I saw Bochum were 3-1 up in the second half.
In England we cannot watch German league matches, so I wouldn't realise Bochum were better than their results suggested.
I have to give it to you that you know your stuff.

may i know if Hannover is a good bet today? i have odds of 3.53 for a home win on hannover- higher odds than those normal internet bookmaker is giving...
Definetely no, Hannover`s win over Bayern in wednesday, was just a wonder. Hannover are weak team just look all their games before Bayern, lost from Bochum, draw with Hamburg. On the other hand Stuttgar are in good form in last three games they have wins over Schalke, Hamburg and Aachen. Weak teams as Hannover make one good game and after that they make 2-3 bad games. For me this game is definetely Stuttgart win - 2.
Werder ****ed me up in Friday... Yesterday Schalke helped me, and Hertha ****e me on some tickets...
About these two remaining matches, can someone write some news/starting lineups and etc...
not enough to convince me I am afraid. Pls do some effort next time to give some reasonings for your bets / zzax

I see that the bookies have remembered Stuttgart again...
if it was Septermber the odds would be for the away win 3.00+
Anybody has any news for todays game?

Hannover 96: Enke - Cherundolo, Vinicius, Zuraw, Tarnat - Balitsch, Yankov - Rosenthal, Bruggink, Huszti - Stajner
VfB Stuttgart: Hildebrand - Hilbert, Tasci, Delpierre, Boka - Pardo - Gentner, Hitzlsperger - da Silva - Gomez, Streller
This are the lineups for todays match. I rate Hannover very weak, I do not like they play. Stajner is a striker who has got very good tehnic, but his finishing is a disaster, Tarnat is to old and he is a defensive midfielder I do not know what he is doing on the left side no  , Balitsch ( IMO a player who change from Leverkusen to Hannover can not be a good player ) he has his moments but lately not often, the only 3 players I rate good or very good are Enke ( IMO one of the best goalkeepers in Germany ), Rosenthal very young talented midfielder, and Huszti.
Hannovers statistics at home are terrible, in the last nine games they draw four times and lost five times.
And now Stuttgart. As I sayd in my first post on this forum, I really rate them one of the best teams in the Bundesliga. I rate them stronger than Schalke. In the last 8 games they did not loose ( 5 wins, 3 draws ), one of the wins was very impressive against Bremen ( IMO the best team in Germany ) away, and they were down 0:2..........
As you see Stuttgart is in very good shape, and they play really good football. ( the last time I said that Stuttgart plays very good football was in the famous Balakov-Elber-Bobic time ).
Do not be afraid to take the AW, because of the fact that Hannover won against Bayern at the Alianz Arena. As we in Croatia use to say: "A blind chicken is once able to find a corn" ;)
So my pick for this game is:
Pick: AW
Stakes: 7/10

I told you. Hannover will lose their next game too. They will win against Mainz after 2 weeks
