Big card today, honestly speaking don't like such days but let's try to win some money today. Here is one of my 7 NBA picks (http://www.betonbasket.com/nba/free-nba-picks/7-free-nba-picks-for-friday-night.html)for todays matches:

Philadelphia Sixers at Orlando Magic
Orlando scored 109 points to Chicago and allowed 94. Maybe there were lucky with hitting 6 of 8 3-pointers. But what about 4 players scoring 10+ points, 21 assist and really deep 9 man rotation? I remember how

this team looked like in offense last year when they had full roster with healthy Grant Hill and I see the same team at this moment.

Sixers won against Atlanta at home by showing good defense but it was not difficult to stop one man Atlanta offense, today they will met completely different more balanced offense and if everything will go well

with Magic this game could be 195-203 points game easily and maybe more.

Also I expect Orlando to cover a spread simply because they are better, they are deeper and they are at home.

Pick #1: Orlando (-6)
Pick #2: Over 190.5

What about Miami -4.5?
I can't see them losing again.. what do you think?

STRAIGHT GAME ODDS

00:00 Toronto Raptors (1.83) Milwaukee Bucks (2.1
00:00 Indiana Pacers (1.55) New Orleans Okla City Hornets (2.75)
00:00 Orlando Magic (1.45) Philadelphia 76ers (3.04
00:30 Detroit Pistons (1.77) Boston Celtics (2.2)
00:30 Miami Heat (1.57) New Jersey Nets (2.65)
00:30 Atlanta Hawks (1.82) New York Knicks (2.12)
01:00 Memphis Grizzlies (1.4) Charlotte Bobcats (2.75)
01:00 San Antonio Spurs (1.4) Cleveland Cavaliers (2.75)
01:30 Chicago Bulls (1.42) Sacramento Kings (3.2)
02:00 Denver Nuggets (1.41) Minnesota Timberwolves (3)
02:00 Phoenix Suns (1.37) Utah Jazz (3.75)
03:30 Golden State Warriors (1.33) Portland Trailblazers (3.72)
03:30 Los Angeles Lakers (1.4) Seattle SuperSonics (2.75

MIAMI V NEW JERSEY: The heat may be last season's champions, but they were really awful against chicago. New Jersey meanwhile looked impressive in their victory over toronto. Kidd and Carter will cause the Heat no end of problems with their pace and skill. Miami really miss Williams and this will be certainly hold true in this game, don't expect payton or any of miami's rookies to be able to deal with the guards. Krastic is improving and Jefferson and Nachbar are a good forward line. I think the 2.65 is good value even allowing for the heat coming out tougher.
Pick: small stakes New Jersey win.
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS V PORTLAND
The Warriors went down to the Lakers in theirs and coach Don Nelson's first game. There is no disgrace in that but the manner of the defeat was worrying, shot selection was poor, they lacked leadership and Jason Richardson might have been rushed back to early. Portland meanwhile didn't impress in beating Seattle but got the job done and showed signs that the 4.0 is a big big price. Rudy Gay seems like the real deal and fits perfectly into coach McMillan's style of play, while Randolph can get the job done at both sides of the court.

I think in the same way but it's too early to back Miami.. let's wait and see how they will respond to that huge loss.. I doubt that at this moment they can play much better than they did. But I expect this game to be a half court game with a lot of defensive effort.. and under 185 is probable.

NBA
Nets-Heat OVER 185.5
Miami ’s strength is their offense. The Nets are ready to run. Chicago ran the Heat out of the AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday night, and New Jersey would like to literally do the same thing tonight.

”They are great in transition,” Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. “They make tough baskets in the half-court, and then they get some easy ones going out. That’s where they kill you.”

The Heat allowed 23 fast-break points in the embarrassing 108-66 loss to the Bulls, and New Jersey will be looking to get even more. Miami coach Pat Riley expects an up tempo game. “They are one of the best running teams in the league,” Riley said. “They know when to run. They know how to run. Sometimes, [Kidd] just says let’s go for two to three minutes. Before you know it, it is a 14-2 run.”

Miami will be licking their chops offensively, after horrible shot selection caused an abortion of an offensive performance to Chicago . There is a reason Miami is the world champs.

Short writeups this time as i'm busy.

NBA YTD 2-0 +11.46 units

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks

Over 205 @ 2.10 (Pinnacle) 5 units

Two not so good teams clashing here. Knicks have some good talent, but i doubt they will be that much better with Isiah Thomas coaching than last season. Last season there were a lot of individual effort and little team work and defense. Knicks totals could get pretty high this season. This will be Atlanta's home opener. They lost to 76'ers in the first game. Atlanta played 3 good quarters, but poor shooting % and awful 1st quarter made them lose by 13. They are likely to hit the throws at better clip this time against the Knicks defense. It's a coin toss who will win this game, but i like the total to go over the posted 205 line with nice odds.

Utah Jazz @ Phoenix Suns

Jazz +7 @ 1.91 (BETCris) 5 units

I'll take a shot on the Jazz with +7 point handicap. They looked good in the season opener against Rockets and should be a good team this season if the most important players can stay heathy. Suns are strong at home, but 7 points for the visitors looks very nice to me. Suns would like to force fast pace as that's how they play best, but Jazz should have the rebounding edge with their good frontline and can slow down the tempo of the game. This game is between a home and home series between Clippers for Suns as they play in LA tomorrow. It's possible Suns will not give full effort today and blowout win is pretty unlikely imo. Jazz have a good chance of keeping this one very close, so i'll bite some +7.

3.11.06 NBA: New Jersy Nets - Miami Heat: Our Pick Nets (+5) @ 1.8 Pinnacle Sports

NBA Pick record so far: 2-1

We actually took Nets on +6 handicap, 2 days ago. In my opinion there will be no diffrence in Heat's play tonight, from what we have seen against the Bulls. The Heat are much older, slower and less accurate team at the moment than Nets. There is also a revenge factor hanging on Nets side. They were eliminated in 5 games last season by the Heat and there is no doubt they will try to pay it back tonight when Heat are trashed mentally. Some will say motivation factor and champs pride will be Heat's key to win this one, but still when u have almost 40 year old Gary Payton running your game against top 3 running team in the nba then motivation won't help u in the 4th quarter. Lack of true PG will hurt Heat badly, especially against Jason Kidd and excellent rookie Williams. Miami should loose this one even on ML. GL

Kidd and Carter will cause the Heat no end of problems with their pace and skill. Miami really miss Williams and this will be certainly hold true in this game, don't expect payton or any of miami's rookies to be able to deal with the guards.

You forgot Marcus Williams, a very talent rookie from UCon, who is the best candidate for rookie of the year award. Against Toronto he played 23 min. and sometimes in the game he was in the court with Kidd-Carter-Jefferson. These four guys, they are the better perimeter team of the league.
In the game at Miami, if the big guys they handle Shaq, they would win easily like Chicago they did.

Toronto-Milwaukee +2,5 home win
The Raptors started with loss to New Jersey. But this team is the better team since Carter era. With T.J.Ford they have pace in their game and with Antony Parker a great scorer. Also Chris Bosh is there and continue to improve himself more than his last all star year. The European guys give their team spirit.
The Bucks get a surprising win against Pistons. Surpising because they were short 10 rebounds, they had 0 Block Shots and Detroit had 9 and they had about the same field goal percent. But the Pistons made 22 !!! turn overs. Also Rasheed ejected with two technicals.
OK Milwaukee has the great scorer Michael Redd, but no other consistin player. Vilanueva and Williams are good but nothing special.
As the game is the home opener for Toronto, expect to win.

NBA

New York/Atlanta over 204, laying $280 to win $250
Minnesota/Denver over 199.5, laying $216 to win $200
Atlanta -2.5, laying $110 to win $100
Portland/Golden St. over 207, laying $104 to win $100

Reasoning:

1) These teams have a history of Overs against each other recently and Atlanta should be running with NY tonight.
2) Look for Denver to shoot better tonight at Home and for Minnesota to stay with the Denver pace for most of the game before it slows down in the 4th quarter.
3) Atlanta off a loss which they shot in the low 30% range from the field and NY off a triple-OT win. Like Atlanta to bounce back here.
4) Golden State still went over their last game despite shooting about 40%, so if they shoot in the mid-40% range, this should have no problem going over the total after Portland played a 216 at Seattle.

Week 10: 6-6, -$648
Week 9: 9-4, +$880
Week 8: 3-5, -$696
Week 7: 5-2: +$636
Week 6: 5-1, +$750
Week 5: 4-4, +$681
Week 4: 3-6, +$110
Week 3: 3-3, -$575
Week 2: 5-3, +$306 (did win $509 on the Mansion free bet & hedge)
Week 1: 5-1, +$913

Toronto is better this year and has very good Europeans. The game is in 15 minutes. Sorry for these late picks. More picks tomorrow!

It is nice to pick the games, but in future keep in mind that posting plays from bookie that is available for a small part for small part of people here will be edited. If is clear that Toronto can be picked in other books as well, but not many books with sidebets on NBA and TrioBet is purely Baltic bookie.

Kobe Bryant will play tonight against Seattle, his first game this season.

Bryant sat out the Lakers' first two games because of soreness in his right knee stemming from mid-July arthroscopic surgery. The Lakers won both games, averaging 112 points in the process.

"I'm excited," he said a couple of hours before Friday's game. "I feel like I'm 6 years old again."

Bryant averaged 35.4 points last season to win his first scoring title.
