2 picks:
Wildcats vs Bullets under 201 total points. Wildcats need to win this one, they have to keep bullets to about 90 points. They can't win this by any other way. Last game between these 2 teams ended 87-90(total 177 points only!). Last year 1 game ended with total 197 points and other 199 points. There was only 1 game, which ended with total 208 points. Quarterfinal game ended with 187 points. So the under is 4-1 between these two teams. HARD TO CALL WHICH TEAM WILL WIN THIS GAME!

Crocodiles vs Dragons, Crocs to cover -8,5. I think they will do this rather easily...

only took 1 pick today, and it won(total points = 199!!! ).
Tomorrow early game pick:

Tigers -6,5 handicap to beat Breakers. Breakers are nothing special and I think Tigers(former champions) will have it easy to outscore them...

a bit more explanation would be appreciated for next picks  / ElCid

nice one.

The crocs are a piece of ***** though. What a bunch of losers - can't even win at home against the Dragons let alone cover the spread.

they costed you money and you're angry with them? plz, next time avoid such comments / ElCid

Yes, you are damn right I am angry with them. You must be a genius to have worked that out. It was the wrong pick, but I am angry. But thats gambling so its unpredictable. But just for you, I will rephrase that:

Thank you so much crocs, you are wonderful. Excellent work!!

Don't be so petty.

Tomorrow:

Hawks vs Crocs, Hawks to beat -7,5 points handicap. Odds 1.85. Worth 8/10 stakes(medium-high confidence).

Over/under total points line 206,5. Last years totals: 198, 204, 246. Crocs just played today and I think they can't keep up scoring. Hawks will easily blast away from them. Best bet would be hawks to cover by 8 points. Don't know about the total, because it all depends on how much Hawks will score, personally think that Hawks will get many easy points off Crocs. Total should go over, but can be under too.

BET OF THE DAY FOR TOMORROW IS HAWKS -7,5 points handicap!

Tigers vs Bullets. Tough came to call, Bullets have got better, Tigers lost last game. Personally NO BET! Over/under total points line 199,5. Last years totals: 168, 211. Bullets just played 1 highscoring game with Dragons, where 206 total points were scored. Should go under, because Bullets want to win and Tigers can't score easy off them. Also Bullets just played yesterday so this will definitely have it's impact on total points. If there is anything to bet on this game, then UNDER 199,5 POINTS TOTAL.

36ers vs Breakers. Another hard to call game. 36ers just beat Razorbacks by 2 points and Breakers suprised by defating Tigers. 36ers are favorites, but Breakers just surprised last game by defating Tigers by ~20 points. 36ers have defated all 5 times Breakers at home, if to bet on the outcome, then on 36ers win of course(odds 1.60). Over/under total points line 204,5. Last years totals: 215, 223, 191. Personally think this will go under, but it can go easily over, so NO BET on totals.

BET OF THIS GAME WOULD BE 36ers moneyline, they have defated Breakers all 5 times at home. So I think this will happen again.

Saturday 4 November, State Netball & Hockey Centre, 7:40pm (local)

Bullets: CJ Bruton, Stephen Black, Sam Mackinnon. Dusty Rychart, Mark Bradtke

Bench
Tigers: Stephen Hoare, Axel Dench, Nate Crosswell, Daryl Corletto, Tommy Greer
Bullets: Ebi Ere, Dillon Boucher, Mick Hill, Adam Gibson, Brad Williamson

Current Record
Tigers 6-2, 2nd; Bullets 5-3, 4th

Recent Form
Tigers: Lost 97-99 to Wildcats @ Perth, Won 98-83 vs Crocodiles @ Melbourne
Bullets: Won 105-103 vs Razorbacks @ West Sydney

Season Series
Bullets lead 1-0

This is one tough round for Brisbane - three road games in the space of four days, two against the first and second placed teams on the ladder and the other against a club on an emotional high. Now we get to see how that celebrated Bullet depth stands up in a stretch of games that will be a pointer to where these guys really stand this season. Melbourne on the end of that sequence is perhaps their biggest test because you know the Tigers will go after what they will believe is a fatigued unit. Al Westover loves to push it up the floor and find those 3 on 1 and 4 on 2 situations with D Mac and Rashad Tucker leading the way and Dave Thomas finishing with authority. The Tigers are well aware the Bullets are also a team that also likes to get it in transition and that is an advantage for the home side. These are both teams blessed with exceptional strength off the bench, but if you had to choose between them you’d go with the Tigers, whose second five with Axel Dench, Stephen Hoare and Nate Crosswell is the equal of some team’s starting units, and those guys have been terrific in the early going. Chris Anstey goes up against Mark Bradtke in a battle between two of the best big men ever to ply their trade in this country, and CJ Bruton gets another shot at Darryl McDonald after being dominated by the ageless superstar in last season’s Grand Final series. The Bullets won the opening game in the season series up in Brisbane but they didn’t have Anstey to worry about, and the league MVP has a way of forcing opposition teams away from what they want to do defensively thanks to his ability to knock down the three. I’m going with the Tigers, even though I realise I will have tipped against the Bullets in all three games this round, and it’s difficult to believe they won’t get at least one – but that won’t be at the Cage.
Prediction: Tigers by 9

Adelaide 36ers vs New Zealand Breakers
Saturday 4 November, The Dome, 7:40pm (local)

Projected Starters
36ers: Darren Ng, Willie Farley, Mark Nash, Nick Horvath, David Cooper
Breakers: Paul Henare, Brian Wethers, Oscar Forman, Carlos Powell, Ben Pepper

Bench
36ers: Lanard Copeland, Adrian Majstrovich, Brad Hill, Matt Sutton, Jordan Dodman
Breakers: Aaron Olson, Mika Vukona, Tim Behrendorff, Adam Darragh, Brent Charleton

Current Record
36ers 3-6, 8th; Breakers 2-5, 11th

Recent Form
36ers: Won 103-88 vs Dragons @ Adelaide
Breakers: Lost 127-128 to Crocodiles @ New Zealand

The Dome has been one of those buildings over the years where getting a win has been like pure gold for opposing teams. You always went in there knowing that the Sixers were 10-15 points better in their own gym and that crowd has always been great at getting on the officials and making sure the majority of those 50-50 calls go Adelaide’s way. But the mystique may be fading. The Sixers are 2-3 at home and haven’t looked all that great in their two victories, and without the great Brett Maher and the warrior that is Brett Wheeler, they’ve struggled at times with their execution, settling for the perimeter shot far too often. A positive with these injuries has been the added responsibility foisted on youngsters like Brad Hill, Darren Ng and Matt Sutton, and all three have shown they are up for the challenge, which will help Adelaide down the track. But as a group they need to step it up and let the rest of the league know that games in Adelaide are no picnic. New Zealand has a difficult home-away double this week but there’s little doubt Andrej Lemanis would be targeting this game as a must-win for his troops. Carlos Powell will be tough to stop and Brian Wethers could go for huge numbers in a gym that has a reputation of being a shooter’s paradise thanks to soft rims and good sightlines. If Maher doesn’t play, Paul Henare should be able to control the tempo fairly well, and if he can get the ball to the big guys in the right places, the Breakers will be in excellent shape. New Zealand might be considered slight underdogs in this one, but in the past they have gotten victories on the road when you least expect, and I think they’ll have just enough to hold off Adelaide.
Prediction: Breakers by 4

Wollongong Hawks vs Townsville Crocodiles
Saturday 4 November, WIN Entertainment Centre, 7:40pm (local)

Projected Starters
Hawks:Cortez Groves, Mat Campbell, Glen Saville, Adam Ballinger, Tony Rampton
Crocodiles: Jelani Gardner, John Rillie, Brad Newley, Larry Abney, Andrew Rice

Bench
Hawks: Casey Frank, Ben Castle, John Philip, Daniel Joyce, Kieran Gleeson
Crocodiles: Kelvin Robertson, Daniel Egan, Drew Williamson, Michael Cedar

Current Record
Hawks 4-4, 7th; Crocodiles 5-4, 6th

Recent Form
Hawks: Bye in Round Six
Crocodiles: Won 128-127 vs Breakers @ New Zealand, Lost 83-98 to Tigers @ Melbourne

Wollongong has had a week off to lick their wounds after they were comprehensively thrashed in their home gym by Brisbane. Brendan Joyce hopes that embarrassment served as a wakeup call to his troops, who have been inconsistent this season and badly need this home win to get their campaign rolling. But don’t blame the .500 start on forward Adam Ballinger – the Michigan State grad has been sensational in the early going and should be mentioned in the same breath as Sam Mackinnon and Martin Cattalini when it comes to discussing MVP candidates. His match-up with Townsville’s Larry Abney will be one to watch, as will the explosive Cortez Groves against the Crocs’ Jelani Gardner, who has been up and down at the point so far. The Hawks have struggled defensively at times and that’s highly unusual for a Joyce-coached ballclub. If they don’t shore that up they run the risk of getting blown out by a team that leads the league in scoring. John Rillie has been a Hawk tormentor over the years – who will ever forget his sublime 45 as a Razorback in Game Two of the 2004 semi-finals – and you can expect more fireworks from the outstanding shooting guard. Brad Newley’s match-up with Glen Saville is a huge key to the game, and Wollongong will feel they have the advantage in the middle with Tony Rampton going up against Andrew Rice, although Daniel Egan has been excellent off the bench in frontline relief. The Hawks get the Crocs 24 hours after what is sure to be a physical battle for Townsville with the Kings, and Coach Joyce will put the pressure on right from the start. I think the Hawks will come out angry and intense and that will carry them to the W.
Prediction: Hawks by 5

Perth Wildcats vs West Sydney Razorbacks
Sunday 5 November, Challenge Stadium, 4:00pm (local)

Projected Starters
Wildcats: Adam Caporn, Darren Brooks, Shawn Redhage, Tony Ronaldson, Paul Rogers
Razorbacks: Justin Bailey, James Harvey, Liam Rush, Scott McGregor, Cheikh Ya Ya Dia

Bench
Wildcats: Peter Crawford, Justin Brown, Ben Hunt, Jeff Dowdell, Brad Robbins
Razorbacks: Rhys Carter, Graeme Dann, Cam Rigby, Julian Khazzouh, Jason Aucoin

Current Record
Wildcats 7-2, 1st; Razorbacks 2-4, 9th

Recent Form
Wildcats: Won 99-97 vs Tigers @ Perth
Razorbacks: Lost 103-105 to Bullets @ West Sydney

There’s no doubt the Wildcats deserve to be talked about as championship contenders. They’ve already conquered the two teams most everyone believes will be contesting the Grand Final series this season, and not even the Steve Leven issue has bothered them one iota – they simply dealt with it and moved on quickly. This starting five might be one of the most underrated in the league, especially the backcourt of Adam Caporn and Darren Brooks. People talk about the Perth Wall Mark II, and that’s fair enough, but hey, someone has to get those guys the rock. And the bench, which I had labelled a question mark in the preseason, has stood up as well, with Peter Crawford adjusting to life as a sixth man pretty well and Brad Robbins providing some decent minutes as a backup point. It’s really Christians versus the Lions stuff for West Sydney. The Jungle is the most hostile environment in the league and those great Perth fans want to keep it that way. If the Pigs are to have any chance they need to try and quiet the crowd quickly and not allow the Cats to get on any sort of a roll, because if they do, it will become a tidal wave they won’t be able to hold back. The two guys I’m looking at to have monster games are Tony Ronaldson and Shawn Redhage, because West Sydney’s frontline D has been ordinary; conversely, WA boys James Harvey and Liam Rush will look to put some points on the board on their old home court. At the end of the day however this has blowout written all over it. Perth has too much strength and too much experience up front to let the Pigs have a sniff, and they’ll run away with this in the second half.

Hawks -3.5 to beat Taipans @1.90 gamebookers

The Hawks are not doing too badly this season so far and are at 5w-4L, but somehow they seem to be slightly under-achieving particularly at home where they are normally much more dominat over visiting teams.

However, in their last home game against the Crocs they beat the Crocs fairly convincingly and I get the feeling that they may have turned the corner and are due for a big win at home. The Taipans away form has been pretty average - they managed to beat the Slingers in their last away match, and this is nothing to get too carried away with.

There are no major injury worries for the Hawks at the moment and they will surely be seeking to take some revenge on the Taipans for their loss earlier in the year. Also, the season is getting into full swing now, and they will see these home games as being quite critical to staying in touch with the league leaders Melbourne and Perth if they are to get to the playoffs.

Hawks should win this one easily. Good luck.

Dragons -4.5 to beat Crocs @! 1.91 gamebookers

Crocs really surprised everyone by upsetting Adelaide the other night.

Don't be sucked into thinking that the Crocs road problems are all over and they are now favourites. The 36ers played a disgraceful second half and handed the win to the Crocs in my opinion.

The dragons will get a shot at the Crocs who are playing their second match in 24 hours. The Drgaons are confident and well lead by Shane Heal and they have convinced me that, whilst not being finals material, can play very hard against the top teams now as was seen in their hammering of the sydney Kings last week.

Take the Dragons to get the Crocs on a let down tonight. The Crocs are a team that would be happy to simply return to Townsvill after the win in Adelaide and they wont compete too hard tonight.

Dragons -4.5 big
