Just a thought a want to say...
About future POTD...

Examples:

pick 1 @1.80
stake: 7/10
if wins -> 70*0.80 = +56
if lose -> -70

pick2 @3.50
stake: 3/10
if wins -> 30*2.50=75
if lost -> -30

pick3 @2.20
stake: 10/10
if wins -> +110
if lost -> -100
(just like POTD is now)

What do you think about this POTD-stake ideea?
It will be helpful i think for the ones who read the thread. In thie moment there is no difference between a 1.30 pick and a 5.00 pick. A think that in genereal the difference between these two is the confidence. Let's make it count in POTD too, what do you think?

It's gonna be harder to keep the score (not a lot harder), but we can help when editing "LOST/WON bet" by adding the lost/won points...

nah i like the current system.

Then you would get all kind of value bets and tralala..IMO current system is just fine.

1.It would get to complicated, both for the contestants, and to Tahoma and Per to calculate the balance and standings.

2.After 2 or 3 unsuccesful picks, there would be people who would search for 5.00 bets and put 10/10 stakes on it.
Other people(let's call them users) who are searching for a good bet, would not get a clear picture on this, and would be misguided.

3.Competition is very, very good now as it is, and further improvements could be made in maybe some other direction(minor changes), but I personally don't think this is a good idea.

Tahoma, will you start new POD on 1/1/2004?

I`m sure you all organiser will want competition to be played again in January. But ths month f.e. it started 2/12/2003.

Start it 1/1/2004 so we can take bets from 4 Schanze Tournee.
I can`t complete to 15 picks this month as if I remmeber my 3 bets were voided so I odn`t want to lose one bet again at very start of new competition.
