Club to win tomorrow?
Team news?
team news is available from brugge website ... 2 strikers out, Salou suspended and Ishiaku injured ... we'll probably see young Yulu-Matondo (Belgian U-21) partnering Balaban upfront ...

"We play them at home, while Mouscron has not been that great in away games so far. I reckon it could become 3-1, goals by Balaban, Clement and Englebert."
Ruddy Coysman - some guy
Een pronostiekje?
"2-0 natuurlijk! Wat had je anders verwacht (lacht)."
Sven Vermant - the Club captain

ama ,loko can we trust brugge tommorow?
I will put some money on Brugge-Mouscron under 2,5goals.
If it is true that Brugge has some problem with the squad, then I believe that it won't be many goals tonight.
Brugge will win today ... They're without both Ishiaku and Salou (first ain't playing good and the 2nd, he's not good enough to play along in 3rd or 4th division at the moment lol) ...
So both Balaban and Yulu will be upfront tonight, and that's not that bad newes, cos Yulu is surely a decent striker, young and active, probably more than both the other guys at the same time.
Mouscron is a bad side, nothing special, Brugge ain't gonna lose points vs such a cruddy side ...
I will put some money on Brugge-Mouscron under 2,5goals.
If it is true that Brugge has some problem with the squad, then I believe that it won't be many goals tonight.
I wouldn't be too sure of that, could easily become over, but no bet for me
Brugge should normally win today, I just don't feel 1.30 is worth putting money on. I'm not that sure anymore what to expect from Moeskroen after they won with 4 - 0 against westerlo.
Demba Ba is still out but they've seem to be adapted to the situation by now.
Moeskroen has so far not been able to take a point in an away game.
No Bet for me on this

As Ama made very clear, the absense of those 2 should be rather in advantage for the home team.
1.3 should be what people like to call a banker, I 'll take myself the -1hcp
just to make it a bit more interesting

Germinal Beerschot - Sporting Charleroi
Pick: 7/10 on under2.5 @1.85 (Bwin)
Missings:
G. Beerschot:
Injured: De Wree(midfielder), De Roeck(defender), Maes(second goalkeeper), Vleminckx
Doubtfull: /
Suspended: /
Charleroi:
Injured: Habibou, Akpala, Orlando, Akgül (all strikers)
Doubtfull:
Suspended: Kéré (defender)
Germinal Beerschot has been doing good this season, they have some Argentinan players with a good technique and up front they have a good striker with Sterchele. The defence of Beerschot is quite good, they only conceeded 8 goals, but this is also because Brys, the coach of Beerschot, is sometimes too conservative and doesn't take enough risks. Scoring is the biggest problem for Beerschot, they scored 11 goals, of which 6 were scored in the game against Mouscron(result 6-2). Only 3 of their games ended in over2.5.
Charleroi is in my eyes the biggest suprise of the season, I didn't expected them to get such a good start. They scored 14 goals so far and conceeded 10 goals. Only two games of Charleroi ended in under2.5. For this game Charleroi is missing 4 strikers, they only have two strikers in the selection for the game, Guerenne and Jovial. Guerenne is a striker who is normally playing with the reserves, he has only played 44 minutes in the Jupiler League so he is lacking some experience. Jovial has played some games in the French third division, but he hasn't played a single minute so far for Charleroi. Charleroi can also put Smolders who is now playing on the midfield up front, but that isn't his best position. Despite that Charleroi is a team in which alot of players have the ability to score and they aren't depending on one striker, missing al these strikers will make it alot easier to defend for Beerschot.

Anderlecht (-1.75) - SK Lierse (+1.75)
Pick: 8/10 on Anderlecht @ 1.71 (10Bet)
Missings:
Anderlecht:
Injured: Proto (goalkeeper), Pareja (central defender), Tioté (midfielder, not important)
Doubtfull: /
Suspended: /
Lierse:
Injured: Blessing(defender, balancing between the bench and the starting11), Peeters (the only 'good' striker the team has), Ernandes(striker), Frederix(3rd or 4th goalkeeper), Nnaji(defender)
Doubtfull: /
Suspended: Andic (rightback, normally in the starting11)
Anderlecht probably hasn't been as impressive as some expected, but they have been doing relatively good. They have some technically strong players(like Boussoufa, Hassan, Biglia, Vanden Borre, even Frutos,...) which is important in games like these against teams with a lack of quality, but with good fighting spirit. With Tchité -who was doubtfull, but will get ready for the game- Anderlecht has a very fast striker up front. The defenders of lierse aren't very fast and lack some experience. I don't think that Lierse will be able to control the offensive-minded players of Anderlecht. Lierse isn't really strong up front, they only scored 4 goals this season, so I don't see them scoring. Anderlecht should be able to score at least two goals in this game. Certainly if Anderlecht scores early in the game, this could be a humiliation for Lierse.

Westerlo - Lokeren
Pick: 6/10 on 1 @ 1.94 (10Bet)
Missings:
Westerlo:
Injured: Neve(yound player, not important), Scheelen(second choice on the leftwing), Vankerckhoven (experienced central defender), Mennes (midfielder), Vanarwegen (young striker, not important)
Doubtfull: /
Suspended: Wils (midfielder)
Lokeren:
Injured: El Mouataz (defender, normally in the starting11), Joao Pinto(important central defender), Diallo(defender, balancing between starting11 and bench), Diedhiou(striker), Bouab(midfielder, not important)
Doubtfull: /
Suspended: /
The last two games of Westerlo were a bit dissapointing, they lost with 4-0 on the field of Mouscron and only managed to score once in their cupgame against 4th division-team Woluwe-Zaventem. At home Westerlo has always gained good results, but his season they only won two of the 4 homegames played, they lost against Anderlecht and Club Brugge(two of the the best teams in the league), which is normal and won against Sint-Truiden and Westerlo. With Ogunsoto Westerlo has good striker up front who should be able to benifit from the weakened defence of Lokeren. On the midfield they have alot of hardworking players who should be able. The fact that Gaspercic is fit again is certainly a good thing , because the goalkeeper who replaced him was far from impressive. With Mennes and Vankerckhoven Westerlo is missing two important players.
Lokeren is missing some important defenders(Joao Pinto, Diallo, El Mouataz) and up front they are having problems since the beginning of the season, they have alot of problems scoring. They only scored 7 goals this season and in their last 4 games in the competition they didn't manage to score. Defensively they didn't do too bad, but I don't think their squad is strong enough to handle all those missings in defence. The cupgame against second divisionteam Antwerpen(lost with 4-1) already proved that without these injured players Lokeren has some defensive problems, although all players were playing bad in that game, not only the defenders.
Although the statistics aren't really in favour of Westerlo I think this is the best moment for Westerlo to play against Lokeren, because both teams aren't really in form and are missing some players I'll keep the stakes low.

AA Gent - FC Brussels
Pick: 8/10 on 1 @ 1.71 (10Bet)
Missings:
Gent:
Injured:
Doubtfull: Martens(rightback/rightmidfielder/striker), Lombaerts(leftback/central defender)
Suspended: Foley (striker, normally in the starting 11)
Brussels:
Injured: Sillah (leftwinger), Colpaert (important central defender)
Doubtfull:
Suspended: Omonga(miefielder, normally in the starting 11), Zanzan(defender, normally in the starting11)
Karghbo (defender) will not play until next year because of his red card against Kortrijk in the cup.
Previous confrontations:
26-02-2006 FC Brussels-AA Gent 0-1
20-09-2005 AA Gent-FC Brussels 2-1
16-04-2005 Brussels-AA Gent 1-1
07-11-2004 AA Gent-Brussels 3-0
Both teams played a cupgame last weekend. Gent won on the field of Tienen (team from second division) with 1-2 and Brussels lost on the field of Kortrijk(also a team from second division) with 2-1(AET)
Gent is currently ranked 9th, their start of the season was terrible (just as last season), they only managed to take 5 points in their first 6 games. But since then they won every game (1-4 on Lierse, 2-1 against Standard and 0-1 on Cercle). One of the reasons of their improvement is that they have bought Olufade, his hasn't scored that much, but with his speed he is a current threath for the defenders. Gent has a very good midfield that should be able to dominate the play.
Unlike Brussels that is playing with alot of very young players, Gent has alot of experienced players.
Brussels had a good start of the season with 10 points oit of their first 4 games, with alot of luck. Since then they lost every game(Beerschot 1-2, Standard 2-1, Westerlo 0-1, Cercle Brugge 1-0), except the one against Brugge at home which ended in 1-1. They lack quality to really make the game, so they play 'dirty' football. They also take alot of cards (25 yellow ones and 1 red). Brussels certainly isn't a team that tries to play nice offensive football, because they don't have the creative players.
Gent obviously has more quality on the field and on the bench. Although they are missing Foley (and probably also Lombaerts) they have two good qualityplayers (Zewlakow and Thompson) to replace them. Brussels is missing three defenders who would normally be in the starting 11 with Colpaert, Karghbo and Zanzan. Gent will probably not win with a large number of goals, but I don't see them not winning this game
Beveren - Standard
Beveren is after the victorys against Zulte-Waregem and Lierse in a more comfortable position in the League. They are in 14th place at the moment with 5 teams behind them.
All those teams have quite difficult matches comming up this weekend. So there is really no pressure at all to win the match against standard. Knowing the habits of Beveren a bit they normally take things rather easy for a while after having a good period. Last week they were not able to win against Lierse in the cup with some bad luck. No important players are injured and Gervinho is always a player to be afraid of when he's having a good day.
Standard has been playing better by the week and are back on track to get in a position on top of the standings. They were able to win with a comfortable 6 - 1 score against Eupen. For them it's not an option to lose this match knowing Brugge allready won their match and Anderlecht will normally not have any problems with Lierse. So if they don't win tonights match they will face a very difficult task when they have to visit Anderlecht Next week.
The well known problems they were having in front are as good as solved with Igor De Camargo being back and Jovanovic scoring without many problems. Geraerts missed an incredible amount of chances last match in the league and will defenatly wanne make up for that. The main problem in this match is that a couple players have a yellow suspention alert (Kovalenko, Sarr, Rapaic, Deflandre, Dupré)
Previous Congfrontations

04-03-2000 Beveren-Standard 0-2
27-02-1999 Beveren-Standard 0-6
Final Toughts
Most facts point in the direction of a clear Standard win. With a lot of motivation and good statistics in previous confrontations they will normally not lose any points in this match. It must be said that Standard is actuallty a team that can lose any match and Beveren is one of those teams that could win any match if they are having one of their days. Still the 2.00 odds were way too high and they've actually dropped quite a bit (from 2.00 to 1.70) as I expected since I posted this bet.
So 5/10 on Standard to win @ 2.00 (Betway)
I'm totally with you on this one steamhammer !
G. Beerschot-Charleroi -> Under 2,5 Goals
Germinal Beerschot has actually got an offense that is quite good, but it's mainly because of their coach defensive play that they have not been able to score a lot of goals this season. Their last 2 matches ended in a 0 - 0 score. After being knocked out of the cup last week this is a match not to lose, so brys won't have a mindeless attacking play in mind for this match.
Charleroi also got knocked out of the cup last week so for them this is also a match not to lose. Charleroi is one of the best teams to counter attacking teams by switching really good from the defense to the offense. There will probably not be many opportunities to use thiese skills knowing Germinal Beerschot will normally play really defensive with 5 players in the back. Another important thing is the fact that Charleroi is missing most of their attackers: Orlando, Akpala, Akgül and Habibou are all injured. Guerenne and Jovial are the only 2 options that are available at the moment.

04-05-2002 G. Beerschot-Charleroi 4-1
11-11-2000 G. Beerschot-Charleroi 0-2
Final Toughts
Given all the facts it's not very probable we'll see many goals in this match that may not be lost by eighter teams. Big chance on a draw, but it could go both ways actually. The Under really seems the best choice to make.
So 3/10 on Under 2,5 Goals @ 1.85 (Bwin)
Bergen - Zulte Waregem: Zulte-Waregem +0.5!
On paper it’s a relegation battle but normally especially Zulte-Waregem doesn’t deserve their 16th place. So far with a busy UEFA-Cup programme they lost points in the competition, but it’s perfect time to get some especially against struggling Bergen.
Bergen without their best defender Nibombé will have big time to stop Zulte-Waregem who is currently on fire. In this weeks some rumours were here that Bergen has “bought” the promotion few years ago but the club denied all. So far their aim is to gain points at home but their coach Riga => the French version of Francky Dury of Zulte-Waregem reacts sober with saying that Zulte-Waregem also need points..
And indeed, Zulte-Waregem urgently needs them. Last week was perfect for them, they won surprisingly against very weak Austria Wien in the uefa cup with 1-4 (again hattrick of Matthys) and sunday they humiliated La Louviere with 7-0. Coach Dury is never happy so he said that it’s time to gain points in the competition. President said that Zulte-Waregem will be in top 10 with new year, who knows.. Matthys is currently on fire, he can’t believe himself that he scores so easily last days. Datti improves and many injured players come back => extra concurrention => everybody improves
That’s why it will be an important game and hopefully an open game as both teams resolutely goes for 3 points. Zulte-Waregem here is just the better side, the only worry can be their tiredness but this time they can’t afford to play lazy ..
Bergen: Mirri, Nibombé are out
Zulte-Waregem: D’Haene, Meert?!
G. Beerschot - Charleroi : Germinal Beerschot !
A game between 2 CUP losers. It looks like that this game is between 2 very good teams who play above in the standings but currently both are shitty teams. Still I give Germinal Beerschot more chance to win. So far Charleroi haven’t improved, they are quiet luckily current number 3 while their play hasn’t convinced me.
Elimination in the cup means a drama for them. They lost after penalties, which is lotery of course, but they underestemated their opponent. 1-1 after normal time, and in extra-time Jovial scored the 2-1. But they gave the victory away and conceeded a goal so we got penalties where Jovial, the scorer of 2-1 missed the decided penalty
Germinal Beerschot so far were good at home, their last match at home they won with 6-2 against Moeskroen. Of course also their elimination in the cup means a lot. They haven't played so bad, but missed rare but good chances to score.
The question is of course if Charleroi and Germinal Beerschot are still in shok or not. The cup was their main aim and now they both have to concentrate on competition but Jacky Matthysen, coach of Charleroi said that this current 3rd place is too much for themi. He knows that they will have a down periode which will come now I think.. Germinal Beerschot gets just great chance to climb up in the competition…and home advantage means a lot. Charleroi lost points in Gent, Beveren and those were far trips, now is the same situation!
Germinal Beerschot: everybody is healthy!
Charleroi: Dante suspended, Van Aerschot, Diallo injured
My plays for today:
Standard @ odds about 1.80
Gent @ odds about 1.70
Zulte x2 @ odds about 1.65
GL
(more info on the BA mainpage)
what about Genk in st.truiden? will it be away win? any infos about injuries and suspensions?
[quote="Lokorus"]G. Beerschot - Charleroi : Germinal Beerschot !
Germinal Beerschot: everybody is healthy!
well...
Gent
Well good day all in all good day and good past few weeks, except this unexpected last gasp goal at Gent ...
Tomorrow Genk and over 2.5
Genk should be good bet with odds arround 1.90 tomorrom
Over 2,5 goals seems to be the best option on first sight for the stvv - genk match. odds are rather high @ 1.86 (10bet)
gonna go trough some stats and I'll post a full review later on.
Sint-Truiden - Racing Genk -> Over 2,5 Goals
Sint-Truiden are currently placed very bad in the standings. With 7 points and only Lierse behind them there's something that needs to be done right away. They have so far not been able to comirm their status as 'Giant Killers' so far this year. They so far played and lost the 2 top matches this year which delivered a very big amount of goals. Also interesting to know is that they so far always managed to score in their home games which have an average of 3,5 Goals! The fans don't really believe their team will win this match at the moment. Defender Wisniowski and offensive minded players Peeters and Mbonabucya are injured.
Racing Genk is the current leader and will remain leader after this match no matter what happens. They have so far played very impressive with a lot of players in the shape of their lives and there is no direct indication of a fallback. They are the team that scored the most goals so far in the league with their attacking minded play. So far they managed to score in every away matches that have an overall average of 3,75 Goals. There are no important players injured or suspended.

More Statistics
The match is being Broadcast on Belgian Television. So far almost every match this year that was live broadcast produced more then goals.
2 reasons:
1) They probably pick the matches with a high probability of being spectacular.
2) players might be a bit extra motivated because they get the schance to show themselves.
matches that were broadcast so far:
LOKEREN - STANDARD 2 - 1
ROESELARE - CLUB BRUGGE 3 - 2
WESTERLO - ANDERLECHT 3 - 4
K.AA.GENT - CHARLEROI 2 - 1
GENK - GENT 3 - 1
STANDARD - BRUSSELS 2 - 1
ZULTE-WAREGEM - ROESELARE 2 - 4
AA GENT - STANDARD 2-1
BRUSSELS - CLUB BRUGGE 1-1
Only the match Brussels - Brugge managed not to produce more thet 2 goals which was actually rather predictable.
Final Toughts
If you just look at all the facts and the statistics, you'll see this is a match that will probably produce some goals. Also knowing Genk has not that much to lose they will defenatly go for it from the beginning like they always do. Sint-Truiden can't afford to lose points and will also have to take risks and go for it in case they conced a goal because losing this derby with a small margin won't be satisfying!
So 3/10 on Over 2,5 Goals @ 1.86 (10bet)
some nice results this week :D
Beveren - Standard .................................................. . 5/10 @ 2.00 WON + 5.00
GBA - Charleroi Under 2,5 Goals ............................... 3/10 @ 1.85 WON + 2.55
Sint-Truiden - Racing Genk Over 2,5 Goals ............... 3/10 @ 1.86 WON + 2.58
