Tigers - 3 v Perth Wildcats @1.90 gamebookers

After Peths's winning streak as broken I think that signalled the start of a mini downhill slide.

This should continue when they meet the powerful Melbourn Tigers at home this evening.

This will be an opportuntiy for the Tigers to assert themselves over the Wildcats at the top of the standings, and I feel they may do this in devestating fashion. I would be surprised to see Melbourne win by any less than a 5 point margin tonight so the -3 handicap is a golden opportunity.

Adelaide 36ers - 8 v South Dragons @1.90 gamebookers

South Dragons are in big trouble at the moment. Not only are they sitting at the bottom of hte league table, but their coach bailed out this week and has been replaced by captain/coach Shane Heal. How will this affect the team?

The dragons have won nothing at all this year and have been smashed by more than 8 points on all but one occassion. They have also lost to bad teams like the Breakers and Slingers.

The 36ers haven't had the best start to the year so far, but they have faced some tough teams such as Perth, Brisbane, Wollongong Tigers and Kings.

although 36ers were beaten at home by a big margin last week, they were beaten by the Tiegers so they should not feel too embarrassed.

Before that, they showed that they are getting into form when they thrashed the Crocs. I strongly suggest that the 36ers will be ready to play the game that they played against the Crocs two weeks ago and they will be out to teach the Dragons a thing of two about basketball. Afterall, they perform strongly at home, and know that they can get some easy points agains the struggling Dragons who will be hoping to merely earn a respectable score rather than winning tonight.

36ers big money.

Townsville Crocs to bt NZ Breakers 2.50 @ gamebookers

It wasn't easy to decide to back the Crocs in this match becasue they have a bad losing record playing away from home, and, have lost one of their key players for the match.

The Breakers had a massive upset over the Bulelts last week, and most punters and bookies seem to suggest that they will now continue on winning matches at home. There is a lot of sense to this, especially as they have been improving their play and have been very competitive against the better teams in the comp.

Having said that I am backing the Crocs tonight for the following reasons:

* The Crocs are too good a team to keep losing on the road. Particularly after their embarassing defeat against Adelaide 36ers in Adelaide, they should be geared up to put up a stronger fight today agaisnt a team which is certainly not unbeatable.

* The Breakers may be on a honeymoon period after their big upset win over the Bullets. It is so often the case that there a team may have a let-down after a big win like that. The Breakers could just as easily come out and play a ***** match as they could come out and play brilliantly. Its a 50/50 guess.

* The odds are just a little too big short at 1.50 for the Breakers. Definitiely value to me for hte Crocs. I am the first to admit that the Brreakers have improved immenslely and I even thought they may have a chance of beating the Bullets last week - they are probably right to be favourites today, but not at such a loww price on offer.

If the Crocs are going to start fixing their road problems, I think that this is one of the places where it should start.

Good luck!

Taipans to beat Slingers @ 1.80 gamebookers

I think the Taipans ae given good odds for a straight up win here.

For me, the equation has been pretty straight forward when betting Singapore games. Average teams go to Singapore and have a 50/50 chance of getting beaten.

The top 5 teams in teh comp go to singapore and they should at least walk away with a win. This has been the trend all year so far. eg. Perth, Wollongong etc have taken the points in the Lion city. Razorbakcs and dragons got smashed.

The Taipans are an excellent all-round team and should have too much talent defensively and offensively to lose this one. This may be simplistic, but hey, its worked so far this season so will ride Cairns to the bank (touchwood)

Slingers 98 v Taipans 102

It was a good day. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Crocs almost blew it today after 10 points up with 3 mins to go.

Taipans got off to a slow start but got there in the end.

The thing with NBL is you should not panic if your team is down early.

Lets take more $ from the bookies on Friday. 8O

2 games tonight :

-10.5 Bullets X Razorbacks +10.5
-12 tigers X Crocs +12

Bullets will cover -10.5 easily .. big class difference between the two teams..
Also taking over 201.5 as i expect a high scoring game as both teams are fresh.no games in the last few days. expected score 120-100

Crocs +12 against tigers who is just back from a long trip from Perth after a narrow loss to wildcats.. tigers will win.. but will be close
don't like under/over 208.5 as i have no expected score
