Safin vs Nalbandian
H2H Safin leads 6-1.Once again Safin is playing against one of his personal ******, as he owns him in H2H and dominates on hard (6-0 ). Ok let's leave H2H. There are 2 main points for Safin's win today. 1. He's finally in good form and Spain for him is like 2nd home, he won here in 2004 and he loves this tournament, yesterday he trashed Vliegen who wasn't in his best(ofcourse what can you expect after celebrating win against Blake with a couple of beers)but the fact is that he's playing good enough to beat not in form Nalbandian. Now Nalbandian can be very happy to have his points for 1/4 final as Benneteau and Henman both were serving for match, and only mental weekness of both saved Nalbandian, but Safin isn't the player who will brake mentally, and that's why expect him to win quiet easily today.

Berdych vs Nadal
H2H Berdych leads 2-1. berdych have won both meetings on hard including once in this year. Berdych played very good today, he fired 22 aces in only 2 sets and also he was dominating on Roddicks serve. I don't understand the oddsmakers here as it looks that Berdych needs to win a few times more against Nadal on hard for odds to be about 2.00. Nadal is playing as usual mooving well, making some super passing shots, if you're mentaly weak then there is no way you will win against him, Haas prooved it once again today. But the point here is that if Berdych will play like yesterday then he will beat Nadal again and these odds are just crazy.

Federer to my warning risked very more yesterday against Soderling that today against Ginepri. The American is playing well, but Federer is Federer, obvious.
Berdych theoretically could be worth less something regarding the line that there is now, is playing well and is in confidence and above all he has defeated the Spanish already in a masters in USA this summer, but to my warning that one was an other Nadal, Rafa has been introduced here in Madrid in a incredible state of shape, is playing a super tennis and sincerely creed that will win and will arrive in the final, even if the odds of today is just to the limit.
Safin is playing better than Nalbandian, is more in confidence regarding the Argentine and on this surface if he plays his tennis can be much dangerous for all, even if Marat is Marat. However I think that this is what he worth, 1/2, even if I would not never tip the genius and madness to this odds.... but I think that today the Russian will win.

This is bet, that must be taken. H2H is 2-1 in favor of Berdych, while both meetings on hard were won by Berdych. In the match on clay, Berdych was able to win a set. Berdych has great advantage over Nadal. He is psychicaly very resistent and he is for me only player, that has mental advantage over Nadal. Also the positive H2H is good for him. Berdych know Nadal well, as he was practising with him for a while. So he knows Nadals game and know, what to play to win over him. Berdych is smart and his stile is exactly, what Nadal hates on hard. He has good serve and lot of points won just by serve. In the match with Roddick, Berdych made 23 aces in just two sets. That mean a lot. It is almost same, as If Berdych would start with +5 games HC. Also, Berdych is player, that try does not to play a long relies, so Nadal does not get his rhytm and it is very hard for him. Just 2 or 3 balls and Berdych tryes to finish it. Also Nadal was in my eyes very medium in match with Haas. Nadal started with good confidence, but it was only Haas, who made all mistakes and just came to lose the match. No effort from his side. I wanted to go straight for Berdychs win and the odds represent value and are very tasty. Also, I think, that the odds are not set well. But as I feel lot of responsibility to all readers, I decided to take a bet, that mean, that Berdych will win just one set with very, very juicy odds 1,9. GL! 8)

Agree with Safin. I didn't watch the game, but i saw that Henman was serving for the match and than lost. Probably mentaly droped down after rebreak.

agree that Djokovic improved significantly since their hard court meeting. Saw that game, and it was also very specific as both players had there fitness and injury troubles.

Yes but Safin is playing really well, Vliegen maybe didn't have best day yesterday but his late results shown that he has to be considered seriously.
Still, H2H can be key to Safin's and don't forget also on motivation of Nalbandian to get sure as it gets about Shanghai race spot. It would be certainly big miss for him, to be not apart as defending champion.

Agree, H2H doesn't lie. Tim was serving for the match and David broke him in the deciding set and continued to serve hold serve and next broke again to win 7-5. Marat will be the one destorying David today.

Yes, I agree with you at some points. Expecially with the one, that after big name, he is usually weaker. But for me, the mental advantage of Berdych is big and he knows, what to play on him. Toma does not have to win, but I really think, that he can take a set. We will see. :?

Hmm, I think there's plenty of better 1.50 shots to bet on in the weekend.. Lots of football and basketball games.. Do you need that money so badly? And do you need it today? If you are betting money that you can't afford to lose, I advice you not to bet on tennis. Doing that, you are basically relying on an individual who might have clubbed, got drunk, or God knows what else, the night before the match. Or he might simply have a bad day (and we know that the Russian clown has lots of them during the year)...
That said, Marat should win today as Nalby is totally out of form and doesn't have weapons to break Marat's serve on this surface.
I've been in the position of needing quick money too in the past, so I wish you good luck anyway.

my picks for today are Safin, Djoko...
marat is playing just great...a saw him play in moscow and now in madrid and he looks very confident. on the other hand nalbi looks shaky and preety lucky so far, but he is fighting as allways. dont forget that there is still a race for shanghai and nalbi is still alive....still...i belive that safin is at least the same motivated as nalbi is...his form is much better...H2H is good...and my money is on him ....8/10...dont forget this is marat we are talking about :roll: :twisted:
as far as Novak is cocerned...he was under the great pressure after 1st set yesterday...got over it...and crushed scotish bastard...just like he did a match before to "super talent"...his confidence has grown...he is fitter than ever...thats the main thing i ll take him...gonza looks realy tired...he was strugling in wienna against ljubo...and he is strugling now...his serve % is lower and lower...he also still fights for shanghai...but he will definitely need some miracle to beat djoko...so my bet is djoko...full stake

oh my god
i tried to put all of the money on this match
but i couldnt
so i did half of the money i had
and suddenly the odds changed
from 1.50 to 1.40 (mean basterds)
and now ive been crying (coz safin has lost the fitst match)
im scared (have you seen it, safin has just won the second match with luck i guess)

Iīve decided finally for 1 unit on Berdych @ 3.21 as Nadal's odds , I can't help are not good. There might be some place for Rafa's overmotivation and pressure of home surround expectations. He's strong fav of course, but we know how unpleasant might be for him Berdych. There are few h2h stories which continues between players and one of them is finding hard to step against other. If Rafel lost against JoJo in Sweden, what's of course not home soil and maybe resting for Masters events, still opens some estimations area for small stake support on Berdych. But please, don't follow this bet :D :roll:

What a games today... Berdych plays well against Nadal... who couldn't do anything against well serving big man. Gonzales played very well till 7:5, 5:5 he was better, faster, and than... he lost his service/set so easy... after that it was 7:5 5:7 5:3 and Djokovic "ruined" his service and lost 4 games in a row! The score in 3rd set was 5:7 for Gonzo.
Tommorow Federer and Berdych should win their games. Gonzales played well today, but sometimes he made so many stupid mistakes, dunno if he couldn't concentrate or what... also his 1st service was bad, so I expect from Berdych 2 sets match.
Great match between Safin and Nalbandian. It was a pity that Safin lost. As usual, he choked when it mattered the most.
