My (10th) Pick of the Day:
KRKA NOVO MESTO (Slovenia) VS PANATHINAIKOS (Greece)
Pick:
2 (-3.5)
Odds:
1.90
Bookie:
Centerbet
Result:
64-74 WON
===========================================
REASONS
Panathinaikos is in a must win situation here as they are near the bottom of group B.They have won just 2 games out of 6 and that’s a very poor performance for the standards of this team! Mr. Zeljko OBRADOVIC is respected everywhere and now he must prove that his team is in good condition after last games (win against Malaga and Aek). Haris Mujezinovic is ready to help Pao (as the manager stated) and that’s very important in a period when Mike Batiste is injured. Pao has a very long bench unlike their opponents that will be based on 5-6 players in total.Krka is desperate for points as they have won just 1 game and are placed in the bottom. Sport Hall Leon Stukelj has a warm crowd and players of Slovenian team hope they will have their support.I believe that Panathinaikos has the quality to win this game and cover the 3.5 HC.If they don’t win, what the hell…they will not deserve to qualify, as far as I am concerned.
Good Luck with your choice!!

Krka-Panathinaikos 2 1.55 Interwetten 64-74 FT BET WON
Very important game for Panathinaikos which comes in the right moment.
Greek team is in very good form, after won both Malaga and AEK and this of course is very easier.
They started to play well, the team rolls on and Krka will not be the team will stop them.
Krka shows lately that two first wins with Skansi at coaching were just a break and now they came back to usual ways...
Besides they know well that Euroleague is a very hard level for them so they give anything they can on Adriatic League..

5/12 + 405 I think I am out of this competition - 3 more to complete but I wont change my picking style because I generally do not like short odds.
My second pick was Bologna - Udinese away which an 80 min goal proved right guess /0-1/ . Now 2nd leg Udinese –Boogna guess my pick ? –yes away.
Udinese v Bologna * Away * 4.35 * GB LOST (3-0)
Attention Reality Check
I do not want to mislead anyone therefore i must emphasise my motive of picking Bologna is that fact that i hate to chew my nails off while watching those 1-0 games. Because i haven`t discussed this with the teams, it is very possible that they don`t give a toss about me so Udinese may as well keep on winning 1-0 or maybe more...so my confidence now 1/10 or less. Sorry about posting too early and have 2nd thoughts later.
Udenese keept it`s habit of winning 1-0 ever since that. I won some money backing them but seriously now it is enough.Simple as that.
Bologna not that crap anyway. They know about cups as well. So far NOT a single away win for Bologna and it is just right time to start.
Bologna knows how to beat Udine /on their expense they got 1 of their 2 winning this year/.
Udine looks safe a draw would be enough, but Bologna can be calm too 1 goal enough and after that chances are equal.
It is could be one of those weirdo away-away counter which often comes from It teams see Milan –Bru 0-1/ Brugge –Mil 0-1…
Pick from Euroleague today:
Pau-Orthez - Roma 2 Odd: 2,8 at Centrebet WON 106-110 OT :D
Pau-Orthez has 3-3 record after winning 3 straight games, Roma is 2-4 after also winning last games, so both teams are hot and one streak will be broken.
Pau-Orthez relies especially on play of their PG Lukovski (13 ppg; 4,6 apg), who is shooting on great % and in last games is brimming with confidence. They havce also Erdmann on SG position, Foirest at "3", who will have to play even more with Pietrus injury, who was important part of their swingmen rotations. And in the paint there are Skelin and Julian, two guys playing 22 mpg and totalling 16 ppg and 10 rpg.
As for Roma, they have especially good performers in backcourt positions in SG Myers, who right now is shooting in double figyres but on awful %, Bennermann, who was slided to SG position in last game with Cory Alexander emergence and score 14 points. Alexander still has to fit in to the team after playing in only two Euro games. There are also small forwards Barton- great defensive option, Tonolli, ho is shooting more than 50% for 3, and near the paint also Tusek, and Griffith, who finally in last two games scored in double-figures and had a lot of rebounds.
So I see here advantage for Roma in swingmen positions, but I'm worried how lonely big man in Roma, Griffith, will cope with Skelin and other's Pau options and how will they handle great Lukovski.
Still I see here good chances for even game and Roma's win in the end.
Udinese - Bologna x @3 at Gamebookers LOST (3-0)
I apologize for messing up the dates. Of course the match is due today and not yesterday, as I mistakenly wrote.
Italy Cup is a competition that big teams don't take very seriously. But for small teams is maybe their only chance to play in Uefa. Udinese is just outside Uefa Cup places, while Bologna have very big problems and fight to avoid relegation. Bologna may have a old team, but I think there is some value left in those players. A common characteristic of those teams is that they don't score much. In 13 matches, Bologna scored 12 goals, while Udinese scored 17. In the week-end, both teams play away. They will settle with a draw here, I think.

so far: 4/6, +127
I was really thinking about Barcelona - Ulker@3,45 (Bodiroga won't play, Blair is back) but I've lost yesterday (Stuttgart - Leverkusen, my pick was X) and I think it would "give-me-my-points-back". So my pick here today is:
AEK - PARTIZAN @ 1,78, gamebookres
Because I can't understand why odds on Partizan is so high (maybe I don't know about something). Partizan is one of the biggest surprise in this seasons. They are second in group A with 4-2 record. They lost vs Stambul (A 67:69) and also A vs Pau-Orthez (78:81).
A week ago they won over undefeated since then Barcelona (H 61:57), and after that they won league match playing withouth some others, who had time to rest some. I haven't heard anything about injuries, and remember that win in Athens = (very probably) next round; what more if they know about Bodiroga's (what means that Barcelona's lost is more possible) they even become leader of the group.
And AEK. They have 1-5 record, but we must remember that they played only two times at homeside. They only won H vs Roma (79:77), team which is seventh in a table (2-4). In other homematch Aek was defeated by Pau-Orthez (71:83). They haven't a lot of chance to next round, so they won't be high motivated, and I think they focus on Greek league.
PS. I'm sorry guys to write that, and please don't shoot me, but it is my last pick this month. You know, Christmas time is coming..., beside it I'm starting my own business since January and I have to prepare my offer well. So I wouldn't have time to make an anlayse and share here my picks with you, But maybe sometimes I will browse this forum and use your excellent picks to get some money from bookies. I believe I will back here in January. And I wish you a lot of big winning-streak next year.

Pick lost, Olympiacos won by 1 point, I dont remember exact score, something like 95-94...
pick nr 10.
N.Y. Rangers - N.Y. Islanders over 5.5 2.12 Centrebet
So, biggest rivals are finnaly clash tonight. Islanders will be seeking revenge for 4-2 defeat at december 4. Why over? Because, this will be tough game, with lots of fight and PP goals. Islanders managed do score 5 goals against N.J. Devils, and that impressed me, because mighty brodeur is one of the hottest goalies right now, so it won't be trouble to score a Dunham also. medium stake 7/10 on over.
PICK WON 4-3

William Hill offers Jahn Regensburg - Energie Cottbus 2.45 AWAY
I am taking Energie because: it says Jahn will miss their goalscorer Hutwelker (scored 6 for Jahn), while Tongue SIlva who scored 8 for Energie is playing. Advantage nr1.
Energie must also win to ensure itself among the best 3 clubs in Bundesliga2, to finish top actually. Its away matches include 1 drawn match vs F C. Nurnberg.
Advantage nr 2 is that they are in goal scoring mood following a win vs Unterhaching, another pretender to top flight. Jahn Regensburg, while safe for now from bottom 4 relegation, can dream of a draw with its players and the commitment of the interim coach Brandl, which was only assistant until now. Eddie Geyer is still coach of Cottbus, despite their relegation from B.1 last season. He knows the importance of this match.
Achieving a win here will also put pressure on Aachen and F C Nurnberg who have a game in hand. As always nothing is certain, that's why my confidence is 6/10
my pick :
AC MILAN vs. SAMPDORIA | 1 | 1.60 | Gamebookers PICK WON (1-0)
ac milan will play at home and sampdoria is a classical away team with full of draws. but they are playing with one of the stongest teams in the cup so their mission is very hard to achieve. i think milan will win with a 1 score advantage i think...
My pick is:

3.Udinese Calcio - Lecce US H 0-1 X @ 3.7 ---> GAMEBOOKERS FT 1-0 yes

5.Spain U20 - Colombia U20 UNDER 2.5 @ 1.55 ---> INTERWETTEN FT 1-0 yes
6.Perugia AC - Chievo-Verona UNDER 2.5 @ 1.7 ---> GAMEBOOKERS FT 3-0 no
7. Cordoba CF - Real Betis Seville HT/FT 2/2 @ 3.6 ---> GAMEBOOKERS FT 1-3 (1-1) no
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's something wrong with this price, is much bigger then other available on market, and the same Pointbet have only 1.75 for Udinese WIN!!!
So there is much value ( and also errors, I suppose) in this price. Bologna will rest some of the key players like Signori, Colluci etc... and they will play with some reserves. Udinese has a very long and valuable bench, but more or less they will play with first team, in order to be sure that they will past the tour and the UEFA Cup shame will not be repeted ( at that time they also win away and loose at home). They defeated Bologna 1-0 away, so keep in mind that a draw is enough for them.
My observation is that in Italian Cup, this year, there are only a few draws, so this should be a 1.
GL
Leganés(AH+1 1/2 vs. Real Madrid(AH-1 1/2)
Pick: 2
Odds: 1.975 @ Pointbet
I do not really know what is going on here really. With Real Madrid on a roll, a win in the Madrid derby: Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid, a win in the 'tradition' derby: Barcelona - Real Madrid, a win in a 'top-of-table' clash: Real Madrid - Deportivo La Coruna. What makes bookmakers think that Real Madrid would have difficulty managing a 2 goal win against a lowly Leganes side which was almost relegated from the Segunda last season, I do not know. But really, even if Real does field a 2nd 11 here against a Leganes side, anything less than a convincing win here would be unacceptable. Given the gulf in quality and talent, it is expected that Real Madrid cruises through this match really.
Another sad fact for Leganes is that they lost 3 of their last 4 home games and really, with Real Madrid in such good form, it must be frightening for Leganes. They would do well to restrict Real Madrid to a 2-3 goal win and I am looking forward to an easy win here for Real Madrid.
DAMN. Wrote a long preview and just as I tried to post it, an error occurs in the forum. Well here goes again, going to be a little more compact than the original one, sorry. Well, it did it again, lucky me I understood to copy it just in case. So, maybe third time the charm.
Rangers-Islanders 2 3,00 Nodicbet
These teams met two weeks ago 4-2 for rangers. Islanders dominated thoroughly the third period and NYR rode their luck to get the two points. After that NYI have been great(also Scathard back), going 4-0-0-1, only losing to NJD in overtime. Rangers' performances have been somewhat indifferent, and they have won only one in four. Alhtough NYI's away record isn't that good, I think the home/road records bear little or no importance in these NY derbies. After all, NYR are 10-2-2 at NYI lately, and NYI are 6-2-2 at NYR. I think Islanders should be the favourite here.

Biathlon 20km @Osrblie
Halvard Hanevold vs Ricco Gross @1.85 Centrebet
Ricco Gross has a disappointing season so far this year, he is much slower than last year and also his shooting results have been poor. Maybe he improves today, but I don't think it will be enough to beat Halvard Hanevold. Halvard has been not only faster in the last weeks as Ricco, he was also shooting much better and is a big favourite for todays event. In my opinion Ricco Gross is totally overprized at the moment.
NBA:
Dallas (+3.5) - Minnesota - 1 @ 1.95 (Unibet) 109:114 - bet lost
I don't like to bet on NBA too much, because it's often too unpredictable. But this time I had a good feeling when I saw that offer from Unibet and I just have to take it.
I think this is a big match tonight in Minnesota and the game should be very close and if you ask me it can go either way. Dallas has really good team this season and I like them the most in the whole NBA. Tonight they'll miss Finley but there is still a lot of good and very important players that can decide the match.
On the other hand Minnesota depends too much on Garnett and Cassel. I think that Nowitzki can score as much as Garnett and Nash can be just as good as Cassel. Then there is only Sprewell left for the Wolves, but Dallas still has Walker, Jamison, Howard. So overall I rank Dallas way higher than Minnesota, but that very often doesn't prove anything, especially in NBA.
Minnesota is usually very good at home and a little worse in away mathces and that's why they are such favourites from the bookies. Anyway I think that this match will be very close and will be decided in the last minutes. So even if Minnesota wins, the margin will be less than 4 points.
Good luck!
KRKA NOVO MESTO 2.35 PANATHINAIKOS 1.55

prediction:krka
krka under new coach is playing better and better. Pao is strong opponent, but not stronger then Maccabi and siena. siena lost, maccabi hardly won.
pao is not what use to be. they dont have any superstar player in squad, so imo krka can win this match.
good luck to krka.

Milan-Sampdoria. My pick: DRAW @ 3.50 Sportingbet
Not very safe to bet contra Milan this year and moreover when playing at home. Altough, I am taking the risk in this match because Milan will be satisfied with a draw and also some basics players will be out. Also, Sampdoria is having a good performance in SerieA this year , till now have managed get many draws pllaying away. I believe that this match is going to end draw or 1-0 for Milan. I will risk with the draw , as I like to bet on draws when Italian teams will be satisfied with such a result. I hope Sambdoria manage to do take it tonight. For me, safest bets today at soccer is under 2.5 for both Milan-Sambdoria and Udinese-Bologna matches as Milan and Udinese are not looking for a big win after away win with 1-0 in the first leg and also many basic players are not used from coaches.
Tampa Bay v Flyers 1.5:0 2 AH 2.30 @ gamebookers
Lightning 5 Flyers 4 lost :(
first time i pick from nhl in this potd and it is a risky one indeed...
flyers are on a bad run
Mon, Dec 8 at Montreal W 3-2
Wed, Dec 10 at Columbus T 1-1
Fri, Dec 12 at New Jersey T 3-3
Sat, Dec 13 New Jersey L 0-2
Tue, Dec 16 Calgary OTL 2-3
and so is tampa bay
Sun, Dec 7 at NY Rangers W 3-2
Tue, Dec 9 at NY Islanders L 2-5
Thu, Dec 11 at Ottawa L 2-3
Sat, Dec 13 Montreal L 2-5
Tue, Dec 16 at Toronto L 0-3
i have to warn you that this is motivational pick and must the most unsafe pick today
flyers home record is pretty impressing 12-1-2-1 just one loss and an otl and both in last two matches. they are in the 3rd place and if they wanna keep up they have to win this crucial game. Last season, Philadelphia won three out of the four games between these two clubs. the sub keeper is still in the net but i expect good game from him this in front of the supporters.
tampa bay lightning is an average away team with a record of 5-6-2-0
lets see who will end the 4 game winless streak tonight. hope it is not a tie ;)
god luck to all
My pick for today is from the NBA
Phoenix - Portland, pick under 195 @ willhill @ 1,9 PUSH (94-101) 8O
I am quite surprised that the total for this game is set that high. Just by looking at the average scores from both teams, you point to a low scoring game. Portland games average 183 points, while Phoenix games 188. Only 4 games of Portland have gone over 195 and they have been against, guess who, Dallas, Sacramento, Lakers (the 3 teams that score more points in the league) and Miwaukee. Concerning Phoenix, only 8 out of 25 games have been over, and they have been against Lakers, Sacramento, Dallas (again), Boston, Orlando, New Orleans, Clippers and Miami (as wee see most of them more scoring teams than Portland.
I know that under-over lines are like lottery, but I think that tonight I have good chances of being successfull :)
Good luck!!
Hi!
NBA today:
New Orleans Hornets-Sacramento Kings
Sacramento Kings(-1.5) WON (99.5 - 90)
Odds: 1.91 @Centrebet
I bet this one because Sacramento because it's time that Kings improve their away record (3-0-5). They can do it with Hornets, who lost their last two matches away @ Nuggets & LA Clippers. They lost those games with big margins. There is no doubt that Kings have a team capable of wining in New Orleans, and i think they'll manage that with 2points at least (taking into account that they lost their last game).
GO KINGS!
PS: Risky one...but, hey...this is NBA!

My 13th pick.
NBA: Dallas vs Minnesota Pick: Dallas @2.69 Pinnacle LOST
Sorry for posting this so late, but just haven`t had time til now to write it.... 2 hours left take the Dallas
Why:
Minnesota has been hot, but they have struggled bit in home games (just 5-5 there). Wolves have won 3 games in a row, but against not so good teams (Wash, Bos and Hou). Reason of Minnys success has been the fact that Cassell and Sprewell have given Garnett enough of support, but tonight first time in couple of weeks they will meet tough opponents, who will squize them in offence and are solid in defense. If anybody can match Garnett, by his abilities it is Nowitzky, if anybody can stop Cassell its Nash. Probably the clash between to pointguards will be decisive and I see a small advantage here on Nash.
If we talk about Dallas then they have small problems. First of all they will be playing without Finley and secondly they lost last game against Boston in final seconds (but beat Lakers and Toronto with confidence before that) . Nevertheless it should make the team even hungrier tonight. Minnesota has had some problems in past with teams who are playing pick`n`roll type of game and Dallas is best example of that kind of style. In my eyes this game is at least with 50-50 chances (probably slight advantage to Dallas) so odds 2.69 are representing huge value. Btw Dallas won teams last meeting 2 weeks ago by 4 points and they didn`t had Nowitzky then. My advice tkae Dallas with medium stakes!!

NBA
Dallas Mavericks at Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota win (-4.5) @ 1.94 with Pinnacle PICK WON 114-113.5
Timberwolves have great defence and are having a good run after last saesons trade for Sam Cassell has finally come good. I want to oppose Dallas as well after their poor performances on the road of late and I think the NBA is as streaky a sport as any. Minnesota have to be the happier of the 2 division "rivals" going into this matchup. They have an extra day's rest which I don't usually bother too much about but it's always good to have another factor on your side rather than working against you  . Dallas are a good team but I give Minnesota a pretty good chance to beat the spread.
