Brisbane Bullets - Townsville Crocodiles 1 1,30 bet at home

For me clear home win.

Yep, Crocs played much better this season but they aren`t good enough to beat Bullets - one of the pretenders to this year championship

Bullest won with Tigers (playing without Anstey) but they were playing without Mark Bradtke and Stephen Black

Tommorow Blacky is back, Bradtke is probable to play

This game will be special. Full crowd is expected

It is gonna be the real and charity game in honour of Steve Irwin (Australia Zoo, Crocodile Hunter). Many celebrities are invited to this game, sponsors of Bullets too.

So, Bullets almost fully squad, Crocs in good form but for me - not good enough to win with Bullets in Brisbane

Stake 10/10

do you think they will cover the -7.5 line . and what do you think about the under/over 211.5?

probably will, I'm gonna take the handicap 8)
I think it's over still...(last year first meetings between same teams was little bit over 230 points!)

My thoughts are, this match may well go over the 212.5 total.

In recent years the Bullets have averaged 115+ points per game against the Crocs. They typically beat the crocs by double digit margins.

However, the crocs look to have improved defensively this year and I fele that the match may be a bit closer than in the past. Offensively Rillie is playing much better for hte Crocs and his contribution should keep the Crocs within 10 points I am guessing.

That being said, I feel it will go along with the statistics which say its likely to be high scoring if anything. And I think the crocs and Brisbane may well score something like 120:112.

As mentioned above, this match is raising money for Willife Warriors (STeve Irwins Conservation charity) and I suspect that the spotlight on the game will also encourage the players to put on more of an exhibitoin for the public which will be focusing in on this game more than usual. that usually means more 3-pointers and fancy shooting. And importantly both teams have players who can land those big shots and score big points.

Just expect a fast paced, high intensity and high scoring game.

Slingers - Hawks 12/10/2006 My bet Away Win odd 1,70 Bet at home

What do You think about Slingers - Hawks game?

i think that Hawks are playing very well away this season and they are able to win this easy. Slingers played a game 2 days ago and they haven`t much time to rest before this game

What`s Your opinion?

New Zealand - Perth Wildcats 2 1,65

Perth`s goingo to 5-0 this season and I think they can do It, Their recent form is fenomenal, rigth, Breakers are playing better this season but I don`t think they are able to win with Cats

What do You think?

By the way the handicap on Hawks has fallen to as low as -2.5 from what was quoted in the other thread as -5.5. I didnt check the earlier odds but if this is the case, then I would be cautious about throwing all your $ at the Hawks.

This is not simply because of the line movement, but just look at the situation at hand. The Slingers have just come off their biggest win in their short history... an impressive 37 point shellacking of the Razorbacks in Singapore. Now we all know the Razorbacks are having a horrendous season, but 37 points is still a statement by the Slingers that they are a team serious about competing this year. the momentum, confidence will of coure be on a big high I think, and also, the amount of points scored in this win tells me that the slingers team playing combinations are really coming together well and playing with a much more settled attacking rhythm.

Do not underestimate the disadvantage in travelling to Singapore for the HAwks. They are a damn good team, but playing at the "Snakepit" in small town Wollongoing is about as far as removed from Singapore as you will get in this competition and the Adelaide 36es learnt their lesson the hard way in round 1.

Certainly the Hawks are favourites here, but it just smells like a bit of a trap with the line movement as tipping the scales against placing a bet on the match. The Slingers look like they want to maintaint momentum and build upon the previous win so they will have had their game planned a week in advance.

The Hawks have a very busy schedule of 3 games in 5 days apparently, and they have in-form Brisbane coming up - you better hope that they keep their mind on tonights job and don't think too far ahead or the slingers will punish them.

Go for total point score if you really have to have a punt in this one. But I
have a feeling that the under 202.5 total set at gamebookers may be the way to go. The Hawks will be mindful of the point scoring ability of the Slingers and they are typically defensive minded on the road. This one I think will be a tight lower scoring contest.

No time to say too much about Perth Wildcats and Breakers match but if your are going for the wildcats just remember that they have had to travel about 4 times in the first 5 rounds. That has to have some toll on the players, physically and mentally.

The Breakers were very competitive against the Kings at home recently and could relly have won it.

Tread carefully on the Wildcats as they are playing in about 20 minutes. I would go for the under 204.5. The exhaustion factor mainly comes into play.

I wouldn`t be too sure in Bullets easy away win. 36ers are playing bas, right, but they have to end this losing streak. They`re playing without Maher - very important guy in this team. But their coach was saying last time, that their game would be better in next games.

For me, no bet. But maybe in Bullets Bradtke`s absnecy it`s a chance for a little surprise and 36ers win :?: We`ll see

Townsville - Kings

Crocs has won the first game in Crocs arena some days ago. But now it`s revenge time :) Kings with Jason SMith and Ian Crosswhite coming back to the squad after injuries with full health :)

CLEAR AWAY WIN : SYDNEY Kings 1,65 Bet at thome

Goog luck :D

Crocs v Kings

Its very rare that the Kings get beaten twice in a row by any team in this competition. So when they face the crocs in Townsville tonight, history says that they should probably win. But that is not enough by itself to put your had-earned cash behind the Kings especially taking into account that the Kings were soundly beten 117:103 in round 1 of the competition a few weeks back.

However, the way I look at it, the Kings most likely were a little rusty in round 1 and presumably have shaken off their cobwebs since then after posting 3 consecutive wins.

The Crocs on the other hand were beaten comprehensively by 19 poitns against Brisbane just the other night and commited 26 turnovers. The signs don't look good for hte Crocs if they repeat that performance.

Another fact taken from the NBL web site is that the Kings Coach
Brian Goorjian has a 29 win, 15 loss record against the Crocodiles and hasn’t lost consecutive games against Townsville since the 2001 Finals.

The spread is -2 for hte Kigs to beat. If the Crocs beat the Kings twice in a row then they deserve their win. But I am banking on the fact that the Kings will turn it around tonight and get their revenge against the Crocs who must be a little battered and bruised from their recent match in Brisbane. You should see the Kings step things up tonight and give the Crocs a basketball lesson tonight.Crocs who

Kings -2.

I would be about 99,9% sure(that Bullets will win of course!), because there aren't almost any surprises in this basketball league at all, only 1 surprise was in 3rd round, 36ers lost instead of winning! And in 2nd round they lost too...

I'll stick with the Kings handicap...

Done! Kings handicap in the end and Bullets(handicap too!) won too. I hardly can see any surprises in this round :D :)

What is the final result between Crocodiles and Kings??? On www.nbl.com.au they got crazy, in homepage it's 115-111 for Kings, in results page it's 115-111 for Crocodiles.
In the ladder, the victory goes to Kings, but Gamebookers says I've lost the bet

Other games full of surprises!

Bookies have set other teams as favorites! And Kings lost today. They need to win soon!

The match ups tonight dont really give me any confidence as to whether matches will be high scoring or low scoring. For instance, the Tigers could decide to blow the Slingers off the court tonight and the Slingers and have score line of like 100:70, or, they could take it easy in the final quarter and allow Helms to hit some easy 3 poitners to bring the score up to like 110:100.

Stay away from the poitns total is my opinion.

I have taken the Tigers to beat the Slingers by 13 points at Gamebookrs. I just think the probability is that the Slingers will get blown away tonight by the strong Tigers outfit. Yes, 13 poitns is a big handicap at any time, but lets face it, the Sligners competeed strongly at home and still got blown away by the Hawks who arent as strong as the Tigers, so whyu would they sudeenly improve in one of the toughest home courts in Australia against the reigning champions??

I also think that the hype about hte Dragons having their first home win in front of the home crowd is out of proportion. the Hawks have to travel a fair bit this week, but they are a solid and expierenced outfit who match up far too strongly for the Dragons any way you look at it. I think they should beat the -2 handicap comfortably.

Good luck!

Cairns vs Sydney
The Kings play the Taipans less than 24 hours after last nights match to the Crocodiles which they lost by 4 points. Last nights effort wasnt their best considering they were up at 3 qtr time but scored only 20 points in the last quarter after having scored 37 in the 3rd. Interestingly the Taipans last match was also against the Crocodiles which they lost by 6 points, but the Taipans controlled most of that match. The trouble with Sydney this season is that they are always slow out of the box having won only 2 first halfs out of 6, while Taipans are alot better winning 3 out of 4. Considering the way Sydney died in the last quarter last night and their will be alot of fatigue for havign played twice in 2 nights, If the Taipans get a strong start they should win. But Sydney is a team that does come home strong usually and Taipains will have to be aware of that. If the Taipans can sort themselves out here, they will not get a betetr chance of beating Sydney and in my opinion i think they can win this.

To the value betting and I like the looks of the Taipans win to be under 10.5 points at $2.70. Not alot more sticks out to me, perhaps the total game score to end under 206.5 points at $1.90 but not with high stakes as this is hard to pick. Also those looking to back Sydney instead of Taipans might wanna look at the HT/FT of Taipans/Sydney which pays $6.30 and that will be my long shot bet. This a tough game to call so i wont be putting serious money on it.

Pick Cairns to win UNDER 10.5 at $2.70 - (5/10)
Pick Game score UNDER 206.5 at $1.90 - (4/10)
Pick Cairns/Sydney HT/FT at $6.30 - (2/10)

Melbourne vs Singapore
Well this could get ugly, this could get very very ugly. Melbourne will win this and they will win it easy as the Slingers make the long road trip to Melbourne at 'The Cage' where the Tigers have won the past 16 straight and that will become 17 tonight. Melbourne destroyed the inform Hawks last week here with players like Rashad Tucker, Chris Anstey playering superb with great cameos by players like Stephen Hoare and Daryl Corletto proving invaluable. With the $1.09 on offer for the Melbourne win again we will have to look elsewhere for value and im finding it hard to do. Melbourne to win Over 10.5 points is paying $1.71 which is still very short, while Melbourne with the -14.5 Handicap is paying $2.05 so that might be worth taking. There aint much else value on offer so perhaps running a multibet with another game might be worth looking at. Game score to end over 196.5 points paying $1.90 looks great value too so perhaps a look at that.

Pick Melbourne -14 POINTS at $2.05 - (7/10)
Pick Melbourne OVER 10.5 at $1.71 - (8/10)
Pick Game Total OVER 196.5 at $1.90 - (6/10)

They started to count the score since 94:86, I think that was previous Tigers result at home court. the time now is correct. I'm watching the game in Tigers official website www.tigers.com.au . there's nothing special, but at least I don't need to count the points from 94:86 :)
