Artland Dragons - Paderborn Baskets +10
Pocoloko, first hy mate and I wish you more luck in this season. You are one of the best tipster of basketball, but for the Bundesliga you are THE BEST.
Ok I have my vision about this match.
Paderborn is a very young and unexpiriante team:
Christian Becker Forward 203 cm 23.12.1985
Tim Black Guard 178 cm 30.04.1981
Jordan Collins Center 207 cm 05.10.1982
Martin Duggen Guard 184 cm 08.01.1981
Steve Esterkamp Guard, forward 198 cm 08.01.1981
Sergerio Gipson Guard, forward 193 cm 15.02.1980
Reggie Golson Forward 201 cm 15.11.1981
Christoph Hackenesch Forward, center 204 cm 28.01.1986
Daniel Lieneke Forward 200 cm 05.06.1981
Marius Nolte Forward, center 206 cm 21.01.1981
Mark of Patton Forward, center 206 cm 02.09.1983
Coach is Doug Spradley the man who cam in Germany to play basketball, and he rise in a coach. He is a coach in Paderborn in last 5 years,I know his mentality. He prefer USA players but ,the problems are $$$$$.This is a team without big money count, also the people in the club are happy and satisfite with this big result, they have a chance to play against best and famos teams in Bundesliga.People from this small(100.000) like basketball, the gym will be full every game but, they don't expect of own team to do something big this season.
Most of this yooung player I know, they are nothing special, they know to play baskeball but they are so SOFT  .Only who can do something in this season are USA players.I can't see them to win away from Paderborn.
Artland also have a USA coach from last 5 years Chris Fleming. These 2 coach are friends  but when they play against each others NO!Artland, what I saw from the site, are stronger then last season, his boss have a so much money and like a basketball.
These two teams played games in second league, and always Artland beat them(I was play on one  )
What I read, all Artland players are fit.
All in all -10 is nothig for Artland against young Paderborn
Artland -10 10/10

Be careful Janger!Artland has a lot of injury problems.First of all the basic play maker of the team Bryan Bailey(11.5ppg last year) got injured so Dragons "took" Sean Dockery (USA,1.88m) as a temporarily replacement for Bailey. Also Lamont McIntosh (USA,1.91m/new player) isn't going to play vs Paderborn because of an injury.Jan Rohdewald(not so important player/13mpg,4.5ppg last season) is injured too and he'll miss tomorrow's game.I should add that the leader of Dragons,Marko Bulic(CRO,30mpg,16ppg/1st scorer of the team last season) has left the team so it's a crime to bet on Dragons with such a big hp (-10).
p.s I'm thinking to bet on Paderborn but i 'll write my picks later
Yes mate,I read today, that Artland have some injury players one of there best is Bryan Bailey, but new guy Sean Dockery played last game and he seemed good.It 's a big rivalty between these teams, and always Artland won.HP is high but I'm pretty shure they will win by 20.

Eisbaren Bremerhaven vs Sellbytel Baskets Nurnberg
Nurnbers lost 2 key starters for this game and they have no deepness in their squad to fullfill this missings. Instead of key players Nurnberg coach will be forced to rely on unexperienced and young players. Nurnberg teams specialists and funs say that it would be great if this team will be able to lose with good points difference.
But unoftunately seems that polar bears from Bremerhaven looking for blood and are very hungry. They returned from tournament where they trashed all their opponents by not less than 24 points: vs Demon Astronauts Amsterdam(85:53), Giants Antwerpen (69:45) and Rotterdam Basketball (77:42). At this moment Nurnbers is not better than any of these opponents and seems that bears will get comfortable win today again.
Eisbaren managed to save most key players from last season and this is a key for their success especially in the beginning of the season.
Pick: Eisbaren (-10) @ 1.76 (medium-high confidence)

Very interesting game for the 1st round of BBL.Alba was finalist of last season's BBL Champion (lost from Koln in the final).Alba is expected to be one of the favorites for 2006-07 BBL Champion too.The team has changed the USA players from last season cause Penberthy,Lollis,Price (only Sharron Ford stayed to the team) left the team while 3 new USA came:
 William Avery (1.88m from Panionios  Greece).
 Chris Owens (2.03m from Panionios  Greece).
 Julius Jenkins (1.87m from Bree  Belgium).
New players for Alba is also Koko Archibong (2.02m from Bamberg) and Boumtje Boumtje (2.12m) from Panellinios (Greece).
Stanojevic and Canak stayed to the team but Stanojevic had a serious injury from last season and he isn't expected today.
In the first official game of the season (German Super Cup) Alba lost in home from Koln.
On the other side,Bonn hadn't a good season last year (7th spot on the BBL table/lost from Bamberg in the 1st phase of play-offs ) so Bonn's people want to have a better season this year.Fist scorer of BBL last season Andrew Wisniewski(USA,1.91m,20.6ppg,4apg) left the team but the other USA of the team Jason Conley(1.95m,15ppg,7rpg) stayed to the team.New USA's for Bonn are:
 Tyray Pearson(2.02m,14ppg,9rpg last season for Braunschweig).Pearson got injured during the summer preparation so he isn't going to play today.
 John Bowler(2.04m).
 Gyasi Cline-Heard (2.02m from Tofas  Turkey).
 Jason Gardner (1.78m).
New players for Bonn are also Bernd Kruel (2.09m from Frankfurt),Martynas Mazeika (LTU,1.92m from Alba),Patrick Flomo (2.03m) and Marko Markovic (SLO,1.97m).
So Bonn has a quite good roster this season (better than last season's roster) and this is obvious from the friendly matches. On the other hand,i think that Alba is weaker this season and its roster don't convinced me.Last season the Alba won 85-83 with a very difficult way (in that game Jovo Stanojevic scored 30 pts and he had 11 rbs).
I expect a same scenario this season so my pick is:
Bonn (+9.5) @1.90 at Sportingbet with 9/10.
Alba-Bonn 73-85 :D
First of all let me congratulate pokoloco for his insighful review on the Alba game.

As i Understand LUDWIGSBURG should win this game?
Iceline Karlsruhe BG - EnBw Ludwigsburg 76:90, 79:83
previous matches yust for stats
BG Karlsruhe - EnBW Ludwigsburg 2@1.80 betandwin
At my locals I have +1 for Ludwigsburg and I took it. I'm surely not expert in Germany basketball league but some things made me go for Ludwigsburg. First of all, as I see, BG Karlsruhe before the season didn't buy any important players. On the other hand Ludwigsburg have some new players from NCAA + Lietuvos Rytas bench player Ciukinas (he can play good against weaker teams, like he used to in Baltic Basketball League). LAst year BG Karlsruhe was in the bottom of the table. After 5 first matches they were in the last place, only once in the season they managed to go up to 12th place. Ludwigsburg ended 6th in the regular season, they even were 2nd for one tour. Finally two meetings last season - 2 wins for Ludwigsburg. I don't know the injury situation in both teams so what's why I'm only 4/10 on away win.

Hi all,
About todays match in the BBL I read on the Ludwigsburg webside that this is a real DERBY match. This means that everything could happen after my opinion.
No I read this in German so I could have misunderstood something as my german is so and so these days.
I also read that Headcoach announced it would be a tuff game and Karlsruhe got a new interresting team this year. But everything is looking good for Ludwigsburg and they have a lot of new good players. It might take some time before these players play well with oneanother.
I think Ludwigsburg will win. But this is first match in the season so this could be a close match. Remmeber it´s a DERBY and there will be a lot of people seeing this game.....
Hope I´m telling the truth.......otherwise sorry :)

Bayer Leverkusen - ALBA Berlin
Line is 167.5 , and I think it will be beat. In first match , Bayer won 95-83 (178 points) against Braunschweig. Alba lost at home against Telekomm Basket Bonn 73-85.... So they will fight for every point to win in Leverkusen. Leverkusen is offensive , and they won't give up. When Alba must win , they play ultra-offensive (in previous years) , so I expect 180 points at last.
Pocoloko? Where are you? :) What do You think?
I saw Alba play at home vs. Bonn and they looked terrible. Alba lost almost every game in the pre-season they arent a team yet and i dont think they will win in Leverkusen.
And odds at my local 1,60 for Alba is way too low for that risk.
Anyway I think Alba will loose the 2nd game in BBL tonight.
What do You think? Will it be defensive , or offensive game?

As i see bookies has settled right lines for Leverkusen-Alba game (+3.5 hp for Lever and 167.5 the under/over).Let's say some things about tonight's game.
Alba is weaker than last season (also Stanojevic is always out/injury from last season) so we can make some profit laying them (i have already layed Alba in 1st game vs Bonn).
On the other side Leverkusen is stronger than last year ,they kept 3 players from last season Woudstra (USA,great scorer,he scored 26 pts vs Braunschweig),Fox (USA) and Geib (German/very good play maker) and took a lot of USA's,Allen (last season in Karlsruhe/great player has 20ppg and 10 rpg last season/he scored 23pts with 6rbs in 1st game) Goldsberry,Newson,Taylor,Wyrick and Martin. The only good player who left the team (from last season) is Jamal Basit (went to Oldenburg) but Allen who came to replace him is better player.
To bet on over (167,5) is a little bit risky (last season's game ended 89-95 8O but both teams have changed a lot this season).I was thinking to skip the game because of the correct lines but i can resist to bet against Alba once again with lower stakes this time,so my pick is:
Leverkusen(+3.5) @1.971 at 10bet with 5/10.
Leverkusen-Alba 69-83
I am always tempted when i see so great values for under.166,5 is always hard to attain even when we are talking about so offensive teams. I would appreciate a feedback from pokoloco on that. 1,95 for under166,5 at bwin seems worth taking especially when Alba needs to play defense for a change.

I know this is not related to what we are talking here but I need to ask a question.. Does anyone out there know if there is any other betting site than bet365 where we can buy and sell points ???
I think pinnacle offers this possibility.
