For those guys out there who now and then love to bet on a "special" or a "seasonal bet", think I've got a good proposition here ... .


IGOR DE CAMARGO to become league topscorer @ 33, Unibet


Igor de Camargo is without a doubt one of the most talented strikers on the Belgian pitches, but he didn't play much this season yet due to a nasty leg fracture. Good news is that he's expected to return this weekend vs Cercle Brugge, as he's intending to play at least 25-30 mins already, to get some match rhythm for the Celta clash next week, where he'll start upfront in the 11 more than probably.

The Brazilian scored 9 goals in 14 starts for his former club FC Brussels last year, before moving to Standard, where he scored only once and got injured.

Fact is the league still has a long long way to go, and the odds could be a lot shorter in a few weeks time. The guy's a goal machine, and the opposition he's facing will fade a bit imo: Guys like Custovic and Ogunsoto will have a hard time because they don't score that often (Westerlo does but only at home), Tchité will score less now Frutos is back. Bosnjak looks like one of the toughest customers, in an easy scoring team, but I'm willing to take the risk for such odds.

There's no way Igor is out of the topscorer race already, lotsa time to catch up for probably one of the deadliest strikers around in the Jup league.

I placed a couple bets in the beginning of the season

2/10 Ogunsoto @ 33€ (dropped to 7.00)
1/10 Custovic @ 33€ (dropped to 4.75)
3/10 Tchité @ 2.50€ (dropped to 2.25)

Ogunsoto is the ex-topscorer of the greek 2nd devision. He has so far proven to be an excellent attacker and will defenatly score a lot of goals this season.
Custovic is not worth placing a bet on at the moment, he'll score a lot less without demba ba in the team. He's the player that takes penaltys and free kicks.
Tchité is in a good form at the moment. I hope it won't be like last year when he scored almost all he's goals in the beginning of the season.
With Frutos and Akin being back from injury there will probably be some rotation and he'll score less often.

Frutos has also stil got a good chance, he played 90 minutes so far in the league and already scored 2 goals. Knowing the season has still a long way to go and his statistics from the 2nd half of last years season the chances are big he'll be in the competition to become top scorer.

De Camargo is worth placing a small bet on for those odds.
League is still long and he's the only 'real' attacker standard has. Proven by Jestrovic a couple years ago, it is possible to become tp goal scorer by only playing half a season. If I'm not mistaken De camargo is a bit sensitive to injuries.

Bosnjak also has a good chance.[/b]

I think Tchité and Frutos have the biggest chance of becoming topscorer. Bosnjak, Sterchele, Ogunsoto, Balaban and Custovic are outsiders. De Camargo doesn't make a chance in my opinion. He will have to start with almost 10 rounds less then the others. So he would have to score almost one goal in every game.
