Fukuoka vs Ichihara:
Fukuoka which has just been promoted this season, is really struggling. They've only got 1 win(at home) so far this season after 19 games, and that was way back in April against Niigata(which is not a very good travelling team also). They're home record reads 1w 2d 6l, scoring 9 conceding 14. That's the 2nd worst home record, only losing out to Hiroshima. A point to note is that although they have conceded the least goals among the bottom 6 (32 goals H and A), they have scored the least (18). This could show a lack of attacking strength or a more defensive style of play. Although this could work against the lesser teams, it probably backfires against the stronger teams, as it shows where out of their 6 losses at home, 4 have been against Urawa,Kawasaki,Oita and Shimizu, who have pretty decent away records. Although they have only lost all 6 games by not more than 1 goal, if u can't score, u can't win. Their recent home form has been patchy, losing the last 3. One notable game was their previous home match where they gave Kyoto their 1st away win of the season, losing by 4-5!!! And also they have just lost 5-1 to FC Tokyo in midweek. A sign that their defence is starting to feel the strain?
Ichihara has an away record of 6w 2d 2l, scoring 22 n conceding 17. They have the 2nd best away points tally soo far, only falling a pt behind Gamba, who r the league leaders. They have also scored the 2nd highest goals away, and have not failed to score in any away league game this season. Out of the 2 losses they have had, one was in the 1st match of the season against Omiya, n the other was in mid-week against Iwata, who have quite a decent home record. Up till the mid week loss against Iwata, they has managed 3 away wins on the trot. Notable away scalps for them include Shimizu (w7 d0 l2) n Niigata (w6 d1 3l). Their losses n draws were up against teams with decent home records, whereas they have managed to defeat teams with average or poor home form.
I personally feel that Ichihara has just too much firepower for Fukuoka to handle. Another pt is that Fukuoka has conceded 10 goals in their last 2 games, n that surely does not bode well for team morale. Also i'm sure Ichihara wld want to bounce back from their mid-week loss to 10 men Iwata, n wat better chance than against Fukuoka? I'm quite sure the lack of attacking prowess for Fukuoka will be their achilles heel again, n i'll be having a 5/10 stake on Ichihara @2.20 to win the match.

Kyoto vs Yokohama:
Kyoto, third from bottom, has a home record of 2w 3d 4l, scoring 16 conceding 24. Not very impressive looking, however the 4 losses were against against Gamba, Kawasaki, Ichihara and Kashima - 4 teams with the best away records in the league, n all 4 teams are the top few teams in the J-League. Out of the 24 goals conceded, 15 were against the 4 above teams. They have managed to score in every home game this season, so i guess scoring is not the problem for them, rather it is in defending. They have drawn against Hiroshima, Niigata n C-Osaka n won Fukuoka and Shimizu, basically doing ok against the teams with less average away records, although mid-week's 4-4 draw against C-Osaka was not a very good performance as it was only the 2nd away pt of the season for C-Osaka. The Kyoto players and manager must surely be disappointed with that result, as i'm sure they wld have wanted to earn the 3 pts against their fellow relegation strugglers, and they must surely know that to stay in the league, the home games against such teams are important.
Yokohama has an away record of 2w 2d 5l, scoring 9 and conceding 12. Although they have conceded the least goals away from home together with Kawasaki, they have conceded in every away game except for their first game of the season, away to Kashima. Also, they seem to have problems scoring, with 5 of the 9 goals scored away having come in the first 2 away games. That comes to only 4 goals scored in the last 7 away games. After winning the 1st 4 games of the season (H and A), they have only managed to record 2 wins in their last 15 league outings, and their only 2 wins away were also their first 2 away games of the season. Since then they have only picked up 2 pts on the road. If it wasn't for their good start, they could well be nearer to the drop. Also, their coach has just left the club on Thursday after losing to bottom club C-Osaka 2-0 away.
Although Kyoto's home record does not look very good, i m going to go for Kyoto in this game. This is due to the horrendous form of Yokohama over the past months, and also they have just lost their coach, and have not yet appointed a new coach yet. Even if any coach comes in, doubt there will be enough time to turn things around soo soon. Also these are the games that Kyoto have to win if they want to stay in the league, and the losing of 2 valuable points against C-Osaka in mid week should spur them on. However, i will be going for the safer option of Kyoto DNB @1.83 with bet365 with stakes 4/10. Good luck to all u guys!!!
IMO odds around 3 for Nagoya is value. Nagoya is very defferent team, since Frode Johnsen has joins in the team from Rosenborg. Last Gamba's games are against weak teams (except JEF), so now we will see how strong are they really.

Nagoya vs Gamba:
Nagoya is 13th in the table, with a home record of 4w 3d 3l, scoring 17 conceding 14. Their 4 home wins were against C-Osaka, Omiya, Kofu and Iwata, teams which do not boast of a good away record. Their 3 losses were against Oita, Kawasaki n Hiroshima, and Oita n Kawasaki boast of the best away record together with Gamba and Ichihara. Their 3 draws were against Kashima, Kyoto n Yokohama. One thing to note is that out of their 4 home wins, other than the 1st game of the season when they won C-Osaka, the remaining 3 wins have come from their last 5 games and against teams which r not good travellers. Apparently they seem to have hit some form, as they have won 4 of their last 5(H and A) only losing in midweek to Kawasaki away from home. Could be credited to them having signed up a player from Rosenborg as mentioned above by bJorner. However, it is somewhat worrying that they do seem to have trouble when playing against the stronger teams, and they are facing Gamba today who has the best away record in the league.
Gamba had the best away record until yesterday when Kawasaki won 1-5 away. Gamba has 7w 0d 2l, scoring 26 conceding 13. Their only 2 losses were against Kawasaki a top team, and against Niigata who is strong at home and always seem to make it difficult against the top teams. Other than the game against Niigata, they have been able to score in evry of their away games, showing their offensive capabilities. In fact they r the highest away goal scorers in the league, n 2nd highest goal scorers overall. However, their wins away from home have come against teams that do not have great home records, except against Shimizu.
This match to me is a very close game as Nagoya is on a mini streak now, winning their last 3 home games, however against 3 teams that are not soo strong. I noted that out of the 3 away games that they lost, 2 were by 2 goals or more against Oita n Kawasaki. Nagoya was held goal less by Oita n Kawasaki, 2 teams with the best away defence together with Gamba. I m more inclined today to try a small stakes 3/10 punt on Gamba @1.80 to win this match, as i feel that although Nagoya is improving and their new player from Rosenborg could make a difference, they still do not have enough to compete with the top teams, as was shown when their winning streak was broken in mid-week against Kawasaki. Will also try a 1/10 interest bet on Gamba to win by 2 or more goals @3.40. :D
Hi mates,I will try few stakes on both the today's games over 2,5.Gamba are very good away and score very easily but at the same time they seem to concede quite easily, especially when they are leading, seems like they relax and take some risk, but I think they want to keep the leading in championship and get Urawa that is temporarily first after yesterday win.The other game is a bit more difficult for high scores in my opinion because Marinos aren't in great shape and away they aren't very good and don't score alot. What make me try over here is the fact they are against Kyoto and this team have a weak defense that get many balls in their net even from the weaker teams, but also they succeed to score some too.Marinos won over Kyoto in first leg 4-1 at home, maybe they are the right opponent to come back to victory. So I'll try the double here at 2,10 on Bwin.Fingers crossed an good luck to all!
Yeah!
Kyoto-Marinos 0-4
Nagoja-Gamba 3-3
