Default Sweden - preseason 2010

30 Jan

All kick off times central european time.

Helsingborg – Halmstad 13.00

First match for Helsingborg, Halmstad coming from a 1-1 draw with Nordsjälland last weekend. Helsingborg will use the best team available with a number of good attacking players as well as new signing Gashi in central midfield. Halmstad using their best eleven as well, with a new manager who is trying players in various positions as well as adjusting their gameplan towards a somewhat more short passing game.

Helsingborg starting eleven:

Pär Hansson -
Erik Wahlstedt, Marcus Nilsson, Joel Ekstrand, Christoffer Andersson -
Mattias Lindström, Marcus Lantz, Adrian Gashi, René Makondele -
Rafael, Rasmus Jönsson.

Halmstad starting eleven

Karl-Johan Johnsson -
Mikael Rosén, Tomas Zvirgzdauskas, Johnny Lundberg, Christian Järdler -
Anel Raskaj, Jonas Gudni Saevarsson - Emil Salomonsson, Emir Kujovic, Per Johansson -
Joe Sise

Kalmar FF – Åtvidaberg 13.00

Home team Kalmar with a full squad apart from new signing Jael (striker) and veteran defender Lantz who is rested along with a couple of youngsters who are not part of the usual first team. Newly promoted Åtvidaberg will start their key midfielder Bergström who has extended his contract recently as well as Roiha (striker) who has been signed as a strengthening ahead of this season. Åtvidaberg fresh from a 1-1 result away to Örebro while Kalmar are making their debut for the season
While the away team should be slightly more match fit than their opponents they have also been forced to practice on a non fullsized pitch so far and are not fully accustomed to a normal playing field.

Malmö FF – Nordsjälland (Den) 13.00

Against a disoriented Köge there was little trouble for Malmö to win 5-1 last saturday, this should be a much tighter encounter against a team who are rather similar in quality. Nordsjälland drew 1-1 with Halmstad and played a B-team fixture this friday, a few of their first teamers participated including Subisizo Zuma (striker) who played 90 minutes and is not likely to take much part in this match.
In Malmö Guillermo Molins (mf), Daniel Larsson (striker) and Johan Dahlin (gk) are back after international duty and so is captain Daniel Andersson who will play in central defence for the home team. Left defender Joseph Elanga who is well known in swedish football will be signing a short term contract with the home team if nothing unexpected takes place and he will feature in this match.

Trelleborg – Lyngby (Den) 13.00

Just like last season there's lots of injuries in Trelleborg, in this match there is no less than 11 players who are considered part of first team plans missing as well as injuries to trial players who would have been fielded otherwise. They are still hoping to control the development of this match against Lyngby from the upper half of the danish second division, first match of the preseason for both sides and there shouldn't be much to choose between them.

Djurgården – Degerfors 14.30

Djurgården have cleared out some dead wood since the almost disastrous season last year where relegation was so close in the end, a number of unknown signings for the swedish scene from Finland will start this match. Igboananike is an exciting prospect who was impressive in the second division last year and is very explosive in his movement, Degerfors are newcomers to the second division and are struggling with a strict financial situation.
Djurgården starting eleven

Pa Dembo Touray -
Kebba Ceesay, Toivo, Jani Lyyski, Petter Gustafsson -
Joel Perovuo, Daniel Sjölund, Kasper Hämäläinen -
Mattias Jonson, Kennedy Igboananike, Christer Youssef.

Elfsborg - Örebro, 15.00

Fredrik Berglund (striker), Stefan Ishizaki (mf), Joakim Wulff(gk), Johan Sjöberg(def) and Teddy Lucic( def) are unavailable to the home team in this match. Midfielders Bajrami and A. Svensson are back from the swedish national team however, the same can be said for defender Almebäck at Örebro. Magnus Kihlberg (mf), Tommy Wirtanen (mf), Robin Staaf (striker), Bassomben (mf) and Patrik Anttonen (defender) are casualties in the visiting side. They both have a single match under their belts as of yet, home team will be making a large number of substitutions during the match

Sandefjord (Nor) - BK Häcken, 15.00

Sandefjord had a poor result when they lost 0-4 to Start recently, this is Häcken's season premiere and they will start with their best eleven it seems. Home team will perhaps rotate players slightly less than in the last match but anyone with a slight knock will be rested as a security measure, two rather evenly matched teams it appears.

Häcken starting eleven
Christoffer Källqvist -
Johan Lind, Mattias Östberg, Emil Wahlström, Marcus Jarlegren -
Jonas Bjurström, Peter Nyström -
Jonas Henriksson, Josef Karlsson, Paulinho -
Vinícius

Always late release of the lines for these matches in the asians but my initial ideas for bets would be something like this. This is of course all suspect to what lines and odds are given when they are released and only a preliminary idea, if there's any interest I might pop in shortly before kick off and make some pick suggestion. I'd recommend anyone to stay at mid or low stakes on these matches, your thoughts?

Helsingborg – Halmstad, Over 2.25 or over 2.5
Kalmar – Åtvidaberg, home team @ -0.5 or -0.75
Malmö FF – Nordsjälland, +AH on away team
Trelleborg – Lyngby, +AH on away team
Djurgården – Degerfors, no bet
Sandefjord - BK Häcken, +AH on away team

Have looked for teamnews for the 2 danish sides but was not able to find on FC Nordsjælland unfortunately. About Lyngy they have 7 players out, some good ones amongst (mainly defensive players) but not all are important. Decent squad named though theres also few young ones that I now nothing about. I think Lyngby will score goals but will probably conceed also so OVER would be my choice here..

Okay as Corpobal said FCN B team just played so they will line up with a "strong" team against swedes, theres only reported 2 (unimportant) injuries on FCN homepage so there shouldn't be some big problems fielding the best players. I don't ´know Malmøs strength but FCN is mediocre team in danish league without big profiles after they lost Martin Bernburg (Stephan Petersen, another good offensive player also left)..

Hey esben, long time no see. Malmö - Nordsjälland is cancelled because of the slippery pitch there has been heavy snowfall in the last 24 hours. Line on Kalmar is -1.25 and that's not very attractive at all imho.

Helsingborg - Halmstad 2-2 (0-1), Opening line for over-under was 2.5 goals
Kalmar FF - Åtvidaberg 3-1 (2-0), AH was -1.25* for Kalmar
Trelleborg - Lyngby 0-2 (0-2), AH was -0.5 for Trelleborg
Elfsborg - Örebro 2-1 (0-1), AH was -0.75 for Elfsborg
Sandefjord - BK Häcken 1-1 (0-1), didn't see this match perhaps it was on IBC or something

31 January

IFK Göteborg - FC Moscow 15.00
Russian league of course a couple of levels above the swedish, this is also IFK's first match this preseason while FC Moscow are closer to real match fitness. Match is played in Cyprus so the conditions should be slightly more hospitable than the currently snow covered northern europe, Göteborg will rest new striker Pär Ericsson and usual starter Gustaf Svensson starts as a sub, in his place new signing Faltsetas.

IFK Göteborg starting eleven

Marcus Sandberg -
Erik Lund, Ragnar Sigurdsson, Hjalmar Jonsson, Mikael Dyrestam -
Elmar Bjarnason, Alexander Faltsetas - Stefan Selakovic, Thomas Olsson, Tobias Sana -
Tobias Hysén

Djurgården - Degerfors 14.30
See above

Brommapojkarna - GIF Sundsvall 17.00

Gabriel Petrovic (mf), Pontus Segerström (def), Miiko Albornoz (mf), Benny Lekström (gk) and
Kim Odelius (def) are unavailable for selection at Brommapojkarna. They will be giving all their players some time on the pitch as they will play again on wednesday against Väsby, expect many substitutions. Sundsvall lost the corresponding fixture 3-0 last year and will focus on defence according to their head coach, Sundsvall have not been training on a full sized pitch at all so far this preseason. Their squad contains enough quality to be in the upper half of the second division at least.

IFK Göteborg - FC Moscow 3-2, Didn't see anything about this match at bookies
Djurgården - Degerfors 6-0, AH was -1.5 for Djurgården
Brommapojkarna - GIF Sundsvall 4-3. AH was -0.75 for Brommapojkarna

1 February

Örebro SK - Sirius 18.30

Örebro with another match with just a days rest, not sure if they will use the same team but logically they will rotate a few positions and use second choices to an extent. Sirius were relegated disappointingly last year from the second division and have pretty much the same squad, this is their first match of 2010 while Örebro have two played already. I'll probably pass on this one but it will be interesting to see how the books value it for future reference.

Örebro are using basically a full reserve squad, only goalkeeper Westman and the two Cameroon players Ndillé and Bassombeng with any major first division experience. I'll try my hand at the away team on this one after all.

Sirus +1.5 @ 1.75

FC Nordsjälland - Malmö FF 13.00

This match will be played in Denmark instead of in Sweden as it was planned originally, i wrote a few lines about this one in the first post of the thread and there shouldn't be much difference even though this is two days later than scheduled.

FC Nordsjälland - Malmö FF 6-0, Starting line was (0) with Malmö as favourites
Örebro SK - Sirius 2-0, Starting line was -1.5 for Örebro

2 February

BK Häcken - Örgryte IS

Local rivals meeting in Göteborg, Häcken with the better squad material undoubtedly. Especially Örgryte's striker pairing appears unintimidating but perhaps they are expecting much from these unproven players this coming season? Häcken have two matches played and both have been draws meanwhile Örgryte haven't been able to train on a full sized outdoor pitch as is the case for many teams in Sweden right now because of the unusually harsh winter conditions.

Probable Häcken starting eleven

Källqvist -
Lind, Östberg, Wahlström, Jarlegren -
Bjurström, Nyström -
Henriksson, J. Karlsson, Paulinho -
Vinicius

Örgryte starting eleven

Peter Abrahamsson -
Björn Anklev, David Leinar, Robin Jonsson, Tommy von Brömsen -
M. Gustafsson, S. Johansson, Pavel Zavadil, Alex Pereira -
Alexander Mellqvist, Nicolas Sandberg

-AH on Häcken will be what i'm looking for in this one let's see what the book thinks about it.

3 February

BK Häcken ***8211; Örgryte IS 14.00

Moved to wednesday from yesterday, main problem is the continual snow coming down which means that they can't clear the pitch properly which makes undersoil heating and such redundant. If there is a break in the snowing they should be able to play. Conditions surrounding the teams should be unchanged.

Brommapojkarna - Väsby 15.00

Haven't found much info on this one but since Väsby are a feeder club to AIK there is always a possibility of some of their players making an appearance. Brommapojkarna have some injuries to their seniors and winning 4-3 against GIF Sundsvall doesn't give an impression of being very trustworthy. This one i'll wait for better information on who is actually playing and who is not.

Update: I'll try Brommapojkarna -0.5 here even with their injuries they should be favourites against this Väsby team and under these circumstances. Over-bets seem rather attractive in this match as well but the odds are poor maybe i'll give it a shot on livebetting.

Väsby squad: Tomi Maanoja, Niklas Rönn, David Fällman, Jonatan Lundevall, Adam Modin, Eldin Kozica, Markus Lundin, Christroffer Eriksson, Patrick Pupparo, Niklas Maripuu, Hezha Agai, Carl Nyström, Christoffer Orfanidis, Mikael Wentzel, Jacob Ericsson, Magnus Eriksson, Omar Eddhari och Isa Urun.

Kalmar FF - FC Copenhagen 19.30

Copenhagen don't need much introduction, they have become the leading team in the nordic region in the last few years possibly with the exception of Rosenborg. Anyway they have an amazing squad compared to average top division teams in Norway, Denmark and Sweden and that's not something to forget if they have a few players out the replacements are probably good. Kalmar dominated Åtvidaberg rather convincingly before making a number of substitutions, don't know the exact starting elevens yet. Only a somewhat speculative Kalmar eleven, in general the advantage should be with Copenhagen because of superior quality in the squad but depending on the line and the starters the bet can be decided more fairly.

Possible Kalmar team:

Petter Wastå -
Emin Nouri,Tobias Carlsson, Paulus Arajuuri, Stefan Larsson -
Henrik Rydström, Daniel Sobralense, Tobias Eriksson, Daryl Smylie, Daniel Mendes -
Marcel Sacramento

Häcken - Örgryte 3-0, AH was -0.5 for Häcken
Väsby - Brommapojkarna, match abandoned at half time because of heavy snowing
Kalmar FF - FC Copenhagen 1-2, AH was -0.5 for Copenhagen

4 February

I'll update with info about these a couple of hours before kick off tomorrow.

Åtvidabergs FF - Haugesund 16.00

Both newly promoted to their first divisions and meeting at a training camp in Turkey, Haugesund are trialling two danish players and are fresh from a 2-2 result with Start. Åtvidaberg lost their most recent match 1-3 to Kalmar and didn't impress, they will be aiming to put together their first eleven from now on it appears as their best team is starting. I won't be betting on this one.

Henrik Gustavsson -
Daniel Hallingström, Erik Moberg, Johan Niklasson, Jesper Arvidsson -
Christoffer Karlsson, Haris Radetinac, Amir Suljic, Kristian Bergström, Pontus Karlsson -
Paulus Roiha

Haugesund starting eleven
Beau Molenaar-
Allan Olesen, Vegard Skjerve, Eirik Horneland, Chris Pozniak -
Martin Christensen, Juska Savolainen, Trygve Nygaard, Tor Arne Andreassen -
Thomas Sørum,*Nikola Djurdjic

Elfsborg - CSKA Moscow 17:00

Elfsborg playing the big team CSKA at La manga and i'm pretty sure they will do their very best in this match, a full strength CSKA should be too much to handle for Elfsborg but since I don't know the team of CSKA I'll only use this for livebetting options. The match is shown live on TV, missings in Elfsborg are midfielder Ishizaki, keeper Covic and veteran defender Lucic.

Elfsborg starting eleven

Joakim Wulff -
Johan Karlsson, Martin Andersson, Andreas Wikström, Mathias Florén -
Daniel Nordmark, Anders Svensson, Emir Bajrami, Amadou Jawo, Martin Ericsson -
James Keene

Falkenbergs FF ***8211; Värnamo 18.00

Falkenberg are a second division side while Värnamo are a solid Div 1 side (third division), this match ended 0-0 last year and to be honest I don't think there will be a rout from the home side this year either. They won't be using new signing Alexandersson from IFK Göteborg or midfielder Johansson, winger Tibor Joza is injured as well. Värnamo who are trained by legendary national team player Jonas Thern and have some interesting young players at their disposal.

My ideas for today would be Värnamo +AH and the rest i'll just wait and see possible livebetting.

Åtvidabergs FF - Haugesund 0-2, didn't see anything about this match
Elfsborg - CSKA Moscov 2-3, AH +0.75 for Elfsborg
Falkenbergs FF ***8211; Värnamo 3-2, AH +1.0 for Värnamo

5 February

Häcken - Örebro 14.00

Häcken lost midfielder Nyström for the coming six months because of an unfortunate injury in their last match, other than that they are fresh from a rather convincing 3-0 against Örgryte. This opposition will likely be more of a challenge, Örebro's reserves beat Sirius this monday but in this match they should be using their best team. Häcken had something of an advantage on Örebro during last season, beating them both in the cup and in their meeting taking place in Örebro.

Häcken starting eleven

Christoffer Källqvist -
Johan Lind, Mattias Östberg, Emil Wahlström, Marcus Jarlegren -
Erik Friberg, Dominik Chatto, Jonas Henriksson, John Chibuike, Majeed Waris -
Paulinho

Kalmar - Molde 19:30

Both lost their first games at Copa del sol, but losing to teams like Copenhagen and Shaktar isn't much to dwell on. They both made decent showings and will be taking this match seriously and with a competitive attitude.

Ideas for these matches, i think it's better to keep some cool and i'll probably stick with livebetting for the Häcken - Örebro match unless something stands out in the lines and Kalmar - Molde is also shown on TV.

Helsingborg – Lyngby 0-3, I wasn't around to see these odds
Häcken – Örebro 2-0, same here
Kalmar – Molde 6-4, Kalmar was (0) with Molde as favourite

6 February

Jönköping Södra – Huskvarna FF 12.15

Local rivals in a preseason meeting, Jönköping are a second division team while Husqvarna are in the third division. Husqvarna have one match played indoors which ended 4-1 in their favour against a lower league opponent, Jönköping have retained most of their spine and have a few interesting attacking players for this level in youngster Etéus and ex Walsall player Cederqvist. In this match there will be two trialists for the home side in argentine Villagra and Robert Walker who is a more well known name in Sweden, both are strikers.

IFK Göteborg – Aalborg (Den) 12.30

An impressive 3-2 win against FC Moscow during their training camp for the home team just recently, now they are back in Göteborg and host Aalborg on the artificial surface of Valhalla. Aalborg are just like IFK in a preparation phase for the league matches resuming, their most recent result was a 2-2 draw with Viborg who I would rate as weaker than IFK Göteborg.

IFK Göteborg squad

Marcus Sandberg, Kim Christensen, Erik Lund, Ragnar Sigurdsson, Kalle Svensson, Hjalmar Jonsson, Mikael Dyrestam, Nicklas Bärkroth, Sebastian Eriksson, Alexander Faltsetas, Elmar Bjarnason, Gustav Svensson, Stefan Selakovic, Jakob Johansson, Pär Ericsson, Tobias Sana, Thomas Olsson, Tobias Hysén, William Atashkadeh, Hannes Stiller.

Aalborg squad

Karim Zaza, Kjetil Wæhler, Kenneth Emil Petersen, Louay Chanko, Anders Due, Andreas Johansson, Jeppe Curth, Rasmus Würtz, Kasper Bøgelund, Chris Rolfe, Henrik Dalsgaard,* Jakob Ahlmann, Patrick Kristensen,*Abbas Hassan, Mathias Wichmann, Lasse Nielsen, Ronnie Schwartz, Daniel Christensen.

Ängelholms FF – Landskrona BoIS 13.00

Another local rival meeting start the preseason schedule for these clubs from the same division, Ängelholm are making an effort to establish themselves in the upper parts of the league and have made some interesting signings. Unfortunately they have also lost their best goalscorer Adelstam to Trelleborg. Landskrona are now managed by well known Henrik Larsson who is an unknown quantity in management having no proven track record since retiring just recently. Neither of the teams will focus much on the result rather getting some match fitness to the squad.

Elfsborg-Odense (Den) 14.00

Second match for these teams in three days, they had decent showings against CSKA and Rosenborg with both goals scored and conceded. They will both be rotating their squads for this match to rest some of their starters from the other day, Odense are top of the danish league and should have slightly better squad depth. Elfsborg will be awaiting the physical status of a couple of players such as central defender Wikström and key midfielder Ander Svensson.

Stabaek IF (Nor) - Halmstads BK 14.00

Neither of these teams have released squads or starting elevens they day before the match and they should only be available close to kick off. Anything but regular teams would be a surprise though, these teams have a decent respect for eachother and are in a rather similar period of training. Halmstad are yet undefeated after equalizing against Helsingborg with a man less at the very end, it may be worth noting that unlike Stabaek they are with a new head coach that wants to alter some of the fundamental elements of their game for this season.

Hammarby IF – Degerfors IF 14.00

Mismanaged Hammarby are now in the second division after last years relegation, Degerfors are also newcomers in the same series but were promoted instead. A disheartening 6-0 loss for Degerfors against Djurgården a week ago, Hammarby will perhaps be easier for them to handle but that kind of result is hardly something to inspire confidence.

AIK – IFK Norrköping 14.00

Everything went perfectly for AIK in 2009 winning both the cup and league, a new test comes this year as they want to retain the title without key players like Hoiveeld and Oboló. Against the sleeping giant club Norrköping who have been on a downhill journey since the mid nineties they'll make their first match, the same goes for the visitors.

AIK squad

2 Niklas Backman, 3 Per Karlsson, 4 Nils-Eric Johansson, 5 Jorge Ortiz, 6 Walid Atta, 7 Bojan Djordjic, 8 Daniel Tjernström, 9 Miran Burgic, 11 Antônio Flávio, 12 Tomi Maanoja, 14 Kenny Pavey, 16 Martin Lorentzson, 19 Martin Kayongo-Mutumba, 22 Nicklas Bergh, 23 Christoffer Eriksson, 24 Daniel Gustavsson, 26 Pontus Engblom, 30 Dulee Johnson

IFK Norrköping squad

David Nilsson, Niklas Westberg, Eirik Dybendal, Gunnar Thor Gunnarsson, Anders Whass, Petru Racu, Oliver Lönn, Kristoffer Arvhage, Viktor Rönneklev, Daniel Bamberg, Tobias Rickhammar, Armin Tankovic, Michael Lindskog, Christopher Telo, David Wiklander, Russell Mwafulirwa, Imad Khalili.

Kongsvinger IL (Nor) – IK Brage 14.00

Brage are another newly promoted team (second division) who start their preseason against a difficult opponent, Kongsvinger already have a few games under their belt and are a newly promoted norwegian top division side. One of the main difficulties for promoted teams in Sweden is often coping with the increased physicality of play and considering that norwegian club football is somewhat tougher than swedish this could be an issue for them.

Trelleborgs FF – Bröndby (Den) 15.00

Trelleborg are trialling estonian central defender Bärengrub who will start this match, other than that they are still struggling with injuries and a couple of new ones appeared after the 0-2 loss to Lyngby. Bröndby are a high profile danish team with a squad that contains a large number of quality players for this level, including some swedish players who have been picked off from their clubs to enhance the danish league instead.

Trelleborg starting eleven

Viktor Noring-
Kristian Haynes, Peter Abelsson, Alo Bärengrub, Max Fuxberg -
Mattias Adelstam, Magnus Andersson, Joakim Nilsson, Andreas Wihlborg -
Marcus Pode, Fredrik Jensen

Bröndby squad

Michael Tørnes
Kasper Vilfort
Anders Randrup
Max von Schlebrügge
Remco van der Schaaf
Samuel Holmén
Mikael Nilsson
Alexander Farnerud
Martin Bernburg
Peter Madsen
Thomas Rasmussen
Ousman Jallow
Michael Krohn-Dehli
Mikkel Bischoff
Mike Jensen
Jan Kristiansen
Paul Jatta
Jens Larsen

Sparta Sarpsborg (Nor) – Örgryte IS 16.30

Örgryte in their second outing after the 3-0 loss to Häcken in midweek, they are thin up front but are otherwise relatively unchanged from the end of last year. Sparta are regulars in the second division of Norway and lost their last match 2-1 to Fredrikstad.

Örgryte starting eleven

Peter Abrahamsson -
Björn Anklev, Robin Jonsson, Tommy von Brömsen,Adam Eriksson -
Markus Gustafsson, Pavel Zavadil, Sebastian Johansson, Alex Pereira -
Alexander Mellqvist, Luka Miljaljevic

My ideas for tomorrow something like...
Jönköping Södra – Huskvarna FF, -AH Jönköping Södra if better than -1.0
IFK Göteborg – Aalborg, IFK Göteborg (0)
Ängelholms FF – Landskrona BoIS, Ängelholm (0)
Elfsborg-Odense, Odense -AH if no Anders Svensson and Wikström, livebetting
Stabaek – Halmstad, Over 2.5 or Over 2.75, depending on line -AH Stabaek
Hammarby IF – Degerfors IF, probably poor lines because of Degerfors' last match
AIK – IFK Norrköping, -AH for AIK but once again very dependant on how large or small it is
Kongsvinger – Brage, -AH Kongsvinger
Trelleborgs FF – Bröndby (Den), -AH Bröndby
Sparta Sarpsborg – Örgryte, No bet

In general I will try some livebetting when good info sources are available for it. Gl.

Jönköping Södra – Huskvarna FF 1-0, AH was -0.75 for Jönköping Södra
IFK Göteborg – Aalborg 3-1, AH was +0.25 for Aalborg
Ängelholms FF – Landskrona BoIS 0-0, AH was -0.25 for Ängelholm
Elfsborg-Odense 0-2, AH was -0.25 and -0.5 for Odense
Stabaek – Halmstad 3-2, Goal line 2.75 and AH was -0.5 for Stabaek
Hammarby IF – Degerfors IF 4-3, AH was surprisingly -0.5 for Hammarby
AIK – IFK Norrköping 2-2, AH was -1.0 for AIK
Kongsvinger – Brage 2-2, AH was -1.0 for Kongsvinger
Trelleborgs FF – Bröndby (Den) 0-1, AH was -0.25 and -0.5 for Bröndby
Sparta Sarpsborg – Örgryte, didn't see anything about this match

7 February

Djurgårdens IF – GIF Sundsvall 15.00

A nice confidence boost for Djurgården to thrash Degerfors 6-0 last week, Sundsvall should at least put up a better fight. Sundsvall lost 4-3 to Brommapojkarna in their season premiere and will change a few names around to give everyone a taste of competitive football, the steady core of the midfield with Wallerstedt - Mustafi will remain though. Djurgården seem to be kind of riding on a temporary high with many new signings and a new coaching staff where everyone is eager to show something from the very start.

Djurgården starting eleven

Vaiho -
Ceesay, Toivio, Lyyski, Kuzmanovic -
Perovuo, Sjölund, Hämäläinen -
Jonson, Kennedy Iogbanaike, Youssef

Sundsvall starting eleven

Naurin -
Berntsson, Ek, Löfgren, Myrestam -
Silfver, Wallerstedt, Mustafi, Forsberg, Durakovic -
Corr Nyang

Öster – Ljungby IF 17.00

Promoted Öster will in this match be resting several usual starters likeFredrik Bild, Niklas Moberg, Patrik Bojent, Mario Vasilj. Ljungby are a lower league outfit but will naturally try their best to make a showing here, the home team have a recent loss to Mjällby and an exhibition match against local players on their resume so far.

Brommapojkarna - Gefle IF 17.00

There's some similarity between these teams, both in the top division without a large fanbase or any extravagant signings. They share the philosophy of having patience and building the team slowly, shouldn't be that much to choose between them but Gefle should have more match fitness considering they are fresh from a camp on Cyprus. Meanwhile Brommapojkarna had to abandon their game in midweek because of the snow, losing Babupa to Kalmar is hurtful for Gefle but they were never a team to rely on single players.

My thought for tomorrow...
Djurgården - GIF Sundsvall, -AH on Djurgården
Öster - Ljungby, -AH on Öster if better than -1.0
Brommapojkarna - Gefle, if +AH available for Gefle at decent price otherwise no bet

Djurgården - GIF Sundsvall 1-1, Wasn't around to see these odds
Öster - Ljungby 3-0, AH was -0.75 on Öster
Brommapojkarna - Gefle 0-1, AH was +0.25 on Gefle

8 February

Kalmar FF - Shaktar Donetsk

A full powered ukrainian team should win a match like this but since i do not know their perogative for this match i can't make any real statement. Kalmar are typically above average goalscoring for a swedish club team and perhaps the overbet is the most reasonable here, book is however well guarded against both the Shaktar win and the over bet so there's nothing that really stands out.

My thought...
Kalmar - Shaktar, No bet, possible overbet and Shaktar -AH on livebetting

Kalmar FF - Shaktar 0-2, Over was at 2.75 and AH was -0.75 for Shaktar

9 February

BK Häcken ***8211; Falkenbergs FF 19.00

Häcken have started their preseason with strong results and are already receiving some hype in the national media, though even from a neutral perspective they have a very nice and balanced squad and financially they are looking bright as well. In this match they will be resting one of their best in brazilian Paulinho and young wingback Konwea starts as well in favour of Johan Lind. Källqvist in goal has also been given a day off but there is a strong spine of their best team remaining. Falkenberg overturned a 0-2 deficit against Värnamo but still can't count on high profile signing Daniel Alexandersson. Other players missing for them are Tibor Joza, Mikael Boman and Sebastian Levinsson.

Häcken starting eleven
Damir Mehic -
Kyle Konwea, *Mattias Östberg, Daniel Forsell, David Marek Frölund -
Josef Karlsson, Dominic Chatto, Jonas Henriksson*, John Chibuike, Jonatan*Ask -
Vinicius

Falkenberg squad

Stojan Lukic
Emil Jensen
Daniel Johansson
David Svensson
Peter Nilsson
Tobias Nilsson
Christoffer Carlsson
Kristoffer Englén
Erik Johansson
Stefan Rodevåg
Korab Gashi
Jesper Hansen
Mohamed Yussuf
Johan Svahn
Filip Svenberg
Johannes Vall
Oskar Andersson

Malmö FF ***8211; GAIS 19.00

It may sound odd but for head coach Roland Nilsson this is in fact an important match, losing in friendlies is not a big deal but to lose 6-0 against an average danish team is hurtful to the pride of the supporters and people surrounding the club. This is added on top of the fact that it's time for him to deliver results after having had his conditions met in the transfer market as well as given time to build a team to his liking, Malmö are one of the clubs in Sweden where patience isn't to be taken for granted and expectations are high.

GAIS have a 1-0 loss to Lilleström a while back on their record, there's been some wheeling and dealing at the club but perhaps most importantly star player Wanderson will not play here as he is lagging behind in training prepations. Creative midfielder Lindström was sold to Helsingborg after last season, new arrival Kyle Patterson will get a chance to prove his value as a replacement. Both teams are considering this more of a regular match than a chance to use the entire squad and subsitutions shouldn't be by the dozens.

Malmö squad

Johan Dahlin, Dejan Garaca, Daniel Andersson, Josef Elanga, Marcus Halsti, Filip Stenström, Jasmin Sudic, Ulrich Vinzents, Muamet Asanovski, Jeffrey Aubynn, Jimmy Durmaz, Wilton Figueiredo, Jiloan Hamad, Rick Kruys, Daniel Larsson, Agon Mehmeti, Guillermo Molins, Alexander Nilsson, Edward Ofere, Robert Åhman Persson.

Elfsborg ***8211; Rosenborg (Nor) 19:30

Last chance for Elfsborg to get some points onboard before leaving the group phase, they will be boosted by several returning players like Anders Svensson, Bajrami and Daniel Mobaeck. A few other players such as Lucic, Avdic and Ishizaki may make appearances but are not to be counted on as available. Rosenborg are also without much success ahead of this match, they have almost a fully fit squad at their disposal and this match should have a competitive atmosphere surrounding it.

Ideas for tomorrow...
Häcken - Falkenberg, -AH for Häcken unless they are priced out heavily like -1.25 or something
Malmö FF - GAIS, No bet for me
Elfsborg - Rosenborg, Over 2.5 goals

Elfsborg - Rosenborg 1-1, Goal line was 2.75

10 February

Qviding FIF - IFK Göteborg 17.00

Qviding have been drained of good players by various clubs and they are also relegated from superettan as of this season, to make matters more pressing they will be without some players that are part of the backbone on the team such as: Anders Augustsson, Fredrik Holmberg, Jon Stockhaus, Daniel Ljungholm, Tomas Eriksson. IFK are resting a number of their usual starters and in their matchday squad are included eight players with decent allsvenskan experience mixed with younger players and signings like Faltsetas. Qviding are behind IFK in preparations which is logical considering their season starts later, this is their first match while IFK are fresh from a 3-1 win over Aalborg.

IFK Göteborg squad

Marcus Sandberg, Erik Dahlin, David Johansson, Kalle Svensson, Jonathan Azulay, Sebastian Eriksson, Niklas Andersen, Alexander Faltsetas, Gustav Svensson, Elmar Bjarnason, Pär Ericsson, Nicklas Bärkroth, Jakob Johansson, Tobias Sana, Chris Mbamba, William Atashkadeh, Thomas Olsson, Joel Allansson.

Qviding starting eleven

Johan Hagman -
Mattias Axelsson, Rickard Hansson, Johan Björkeryd, Hannes Sahlin -
Johan Bergendorff, Patrik Wallin, Christian Lindström, Simon Chekroun -
Fuad Hyseni, Anton Holmberg

Assyriska – Brommapojkarna 18.00

For some reason Assyriska like to keep their team news hidden so there's not much to go on here, they have a really interesting squad and should be fighting for promotion to the top division. This is their first match compared to Brommapojkarna who have a couple of full matches played already, they've had to mix in some untested youngsters with their usual team because of injuries and it may have affected results such as the 0-1 loss to Gefle.

My thoughts...
Qviding – IFK Göteborg, AH -1.5 on IFK
Assyriska – Brommapojkarna, no bet

Qviding – IFK Göteborg 3-3, AH was -1.5 on IFK Göteborg
Assyriska – Brommapojkarna 2-0, AH was (0) with Brommapojkarna as favourite

11 February

Kalmar FF - Elfsborg

These two teams usually have tight encounters and have both been top teams in recent years, Ellfsborg using slightly more of their best team from the first whistle barring the goalkeeper and perhaps central defender Lucic. Martin Ericsson unavailable in midfield but Ishizaki in at least average form is a big boost to their creative potential, Kalmar testing some players in wingback positions and still haven't entered a phase where they are decided on their first selection. Especially in attacking positions they have many players who are close to eachother in squad status in ability.

Kalmar starting eleven

Petter Wastå -
Mattias Johansson, Joachim Lantz, Paulus Arajuuri, Markus Thorbjörnsson -
Henrik Rydström, Stefan Ålander, Erik Israelsson -
Ricardo Santos, Jael Ferreira, Daryl Smylie

Elfsborg starting eleven

Andreas Andersson
Daniel Mobeck - Anders Wikström - Johan Karlsson - Mathias Florén
Anders Svensson - Daniel Nordmark
Stefan Ishizaki - Amadou Jawo - Emir Bajrami
James Keene

My thought...
Kalmar - Elfsborg, no bet or livebetting if i find a decent stream of the match

Kalmar FF – Elfsborg 1-3, AH was -0.25 for Elfsborg

12 February

BK Häcken – Helsingborgs IF 13.00

Should be a decent test for both teams and they are lining up with pretty much their best, Helsingborg have had mixed results this preseason drawing 2-2 with a decimated Halmstad and then losing 0-3 to Lyngby. Trial striker Kupisz will be playing for a contract offer in this match, Häcken have a painless injury situation so far and a strong competition for places. The attacking midfield trio of Paulinho – Henriksson – Chibuike is enough to demand respect from any team in Sweden. Helsingborg without midfielder Gashi as well as central defender Ekstrand.

Christoffer Källqvist -
Johan Lind, Daniel Forsell, Emil Wahlström, Marcus Jarlegren -
Erik Friberg, Josef Karlsson, Jonas Henriksson, John Chibuike, Paulinho -
Mathias Ranégie

Oscar Berglund –
Erik Wahlstedt, Marcus Nilsson, Hannu Patronen , Marcus Holgersson –
Mattias Lindström, Marcus Lantz, May Mahlangu, Christoffer Andersson –
Rasmus Jönsson, Tomasz Kupisz

Östers IF – Lunds BK 18.00

Lunds BK are newly promoted to Div 1 Södra (3rd division) and their should prove a stern test to them, they have a young team with many former youth players from clubs like Malmö FF and other larger clubs in the area. GAIS striker Baldvinsson is trialling for Öster in this match and they are looking to get their signings into the rhytm of things to have a succesfull superettan campaign. Lund have one friendly played which ended in a 3-2 win over Halmia, meanwhile Öster have had three outings against opposition of various quality.

AIK - Örebro SK 19.00

Match played indoors in Finland so neither team would consider it a home game, AIK couldn't capitalize on the advantage in play against Norrköping and settled for a draw. That's their only result so far while Örebro have four matches already (one with reserves), their latest result was a 2-0 loss against Häcken. Örebro are bringing trial striker Niang with them to Finland while defender Anttonen is staying at home to recuperate an injury. AIK should have a relatively unchanged squad since last week.

My ideas for today...
Häcken – Helsingborg, (0) or (0.25) for Häcken, Over 2.5 goals
Öster – Lunds BK, -AH for Öster if better than -1.0
AIK - Örebro SK, +AH for Örebro

Öster – Lunds BK 2-1, Same here
AIK – Örebro 2-1, Same for this one

13 February

Örgryte IS – FC Trollhättan 12.00

Valter Tomaz Jr
Álvaro Santos
Dennis Jonsson
David Leinar
Örgryte have now moved Anklev into a striker position to alleviate their lack of depth, he is a decent attacking player with good acceleration. Their preseason results haven't been much to cheer about so far mostly going up against stronger opponents, some players like Alvaro Santos, Dennis Jonsson, David Leinar and Valter Tomaz Jr remain unavailable and they are weaker for it. Trollhättan are making their first appearance and are in the same division as Örgryte, they are not an extravagant team but rely on a solid team effort. They are trialling striker Holmqvist in this match and he is a good target man that can also finish plays.

Örgryte starting eleven

Peter Abrahamsson -
Jakob Olsson, Robin Jonsson, Tommy von Brömsen, Adam Eriksson -
Markus Gustafsson, Pavel Zavadil, Sebastian Johansson, Alex Pereira -
Alexander Mellqvist, Björn Anklev

FC Trollhättan starting eleven

Tobias Wennergren -
Petter Digneus, Christian Falck, Linus Norrman, Robin Eriksson -
Robert Davidsson, Per Eriksson, Eric Gustafsson, Ali Mohammadian, Tobias Mikaelsson -
Tobias Holmqvist

Jönköping Södra – Gais 12.15

Jönköping aired most of their players against Husqvarna (1-0 win) and will instead use a smaller number of players for this match, they will use another eleven against Elfsborg's U-21 team in connection to this meeting. GAIS drew 1-1 in Malmö in midweek and didn't control the ball much in midfield, their goal was on a counterattack but it will still be a good sign that they could hold steady and draw away to both Lilleström and Malmö. Here they will look for more creative play and their best player from last year in Wanderson will also make his first contribution of the year. Calum Angus, Jonas Lundén, Fredrik Lundgren, Dime Jankulovski Magnus Jonsson Richard Spong are players that won't be used by GAIS in this match for various reasons.

Jönköping Södra starting eleven

Nuredin Bakiu -
Jesper Svensson, D. Blomkvist, J. Sauso, T. Siwe -
C. Persson, J. Karlefjärd, P. Redo, T. Thelin, K. Fagerkrantz -
P. Cederqvist -

GAIS squad

Henri Sillanpää, Emir Jazvin, Björn Andersson, Reuben Ayarna, Erik Berthagen, Wanderson do Carmo, Mervan Celik, Richard Ekunde, Kenneth Gustafsson, Eyjólfur Hédinsson, Hallgrímur Jónasson, Tommy Lycén, Johan Mårtensson, Kyle Patterson, Johan Pettersson, Johan Rundqvist, Romario Sipiao.

Halmstad – Trelleborg 13.00

Trelleborg are suffering from injuries in the back of the team, only one natural defender will be fit for this fixture and among the missings are Nilsson-Guiomar, Melander, Thommie Persson and Yousef Fakhro who are all usual options. Halmstad see the return of Anselmo and Michael Görlitz who are both interesting creative forces, there's a list of players rested as well which include Johnny Lundberg, Markus Gustafson, Anel Raskaj, Alexander Prent, Christian Järdler, Emil Salomonsson. Their flanks might be weakened but the team Halmstad are using here is of a decent quality.

Halmstad starting eleven

Karl-Johan Johnsson -
Ryan Miller, Tomas Zvirgzdauskas, Tommy Jönsson, Per Johansson -
Jonas Gudni Saevarsson, Mikael Rosén, Niclas Johnsson, Anselmo, Michael Görlitz -
Joe Sise

Ängelholm - Mjällby 13.00

An exciting signing for Mjällby in Tobias Grahn, his skill is definitely high enough to raise their game but he could also turn out to be a source of discord in the group. Ängelholm are also a club who dare to show some ambition in signing higher profile players and aiming for something higher, they were the team with the advantage against Landskrona (0-0). Mjällby have shown stability in drawing 0-0 away to FC Nordsjälland

Mjällby starting eleven

Mattias Asper -
Daniel Ivanovski, Juan Robledo, Patrik Rosengren, Robin Cederberg -
David Löfquist, Daniel Nilsson, Tobias Grahn, Daniel Nicklasson -
Peter Gitselov, Marcus Ekenberg

Assyriska FF – Väsby United 13.00

Assyriska defeated a Brommapojkarna reserve and youth team 2-0 in their first friendly, now they host local competitiors Väsby who had their first match called off at half time because of snow. As i've said before Assyriska have a very good squad for this level and shoul be considered among the absolute favourites for promotion, it's unclear what team they will use in this match but there should be some rotation on starters. Väsby are normally an unknown quantity in the early parts of the season as they often sign players from lower league clubs who are talented, they certainly are an attacking team at heart however.

Niklas Rönn, Peter Rosendal, David Fällman, Jonatan Lundevall, Marcus Lundin, Eldin Kozica, Mikael Wentzel, Jacob Ericsson, Patrick Pupparo, Carl Nyström, Hezha Agai, Adam Modin, Fredrik Holster, Daniel Ålund, Omar Eddahri, Magnus Eriksson, Elvis da Silva Santana.

Ljungskile SK – Västra Frölunda 13.00

First match of the year for both of these sides, Ljungskile the more reputable of them residing in superettan. The quality of the squad material should be on the side of Ljungskile but the current form of the teams is unknown.

IFK Göteborg – Nordsjälland 14.00

A miscalculation to barely draw 3-3 with Qviding in midweek for IFK Göteborg, albeit with a reserve dominated team on the pitch. They are also suffering from a few new injuries that enticed them to sign defender Fredrik Risp as cover ahead of the season, he is an experienced defender who should be a good signing if he plays anywhere close to his former level when at the club. Nordsjälland are playing lots of matches at the moment, results are mixed such as the 6-0 humiliation of Malmö FF and the 0-0 result with Mjällby.

IFK Göteborg squad

Kim Christensen, Marcus Sandberg, Erik Lund, Kalle Svensson, Hjalmar Jonsson, Ragnar Sigurdsson, Fredrik Risp, Alexander Faltsetas, Thomas Olsson, Stefan Selakovic, Tobias Sana, William Atashkadeh, Tobias Hysén, Pär Ericsson, Jakob Johansson, Elmar Bjarnason, Hannes Stiller, Chris Mbamba.
FC Nordsjälland squad

Jesper Hansenm Benjamin Kibebe, Henrik Kildentoft, Andreas Bjelland, Nicolai Stokholm, Patrice Bernier, Tobias Mikkelsen, Sibusiso Zuma, Rawez Lawan, Bajram Fetai, Nicki Bille, Michael Parkhurst, Matti Lund Nielsen, Daniel Jensen, Nenad Novakovic, Pierre Bengtsson

Hammarby - Brommapojkarna 14.00

Not instilling much confidence to win 4-3 against Degerfors for their first match, Hammarby are also without two players who constitute the spine of their team in midfielder Dahl and central defender Gerrbrand in this match. On friday they had a large amount of first teamers either suffering from a cold or a stomach bug that both have been spreading within the squad, that means many players are uncertain to be available. Brommapojkarna have been able to assemble fifteen players from their first team which is a large improvement compared to the midweek match with Assyriska. Pontus Segerström, Gabriel Petrovic, Miiko Albornoz remain injured for the visitors.

Brage IK – Hudiksvalls ABK 14.00

A strong result to earn a 2-2 draw at Kongsvinger from Brage, this is a match they shouldn't have much difficulty in winning against lower leauge Hudiksvall. Home team will be making some subs during the match since they have a 20 man squad.

Landskrona BoIS – FC Rosengård 14.00

Landskrona have lost midfielder Unkuri with a cruciate ligament injury, meaning he will be out for a long time. They held Ängelholm to a goalless draw in their first match and now host ambitious Div 1 side FC Rosengård who have made some interesting signings from a higher division such as Glenn Holgersson and Mikael Roth. Other missings in Landskrona are Johan Persson, Calle Genberg and Joakim Persson.

IK Sirius – GIF Sundsvall 14.30

Sirius heavily struck by missings for their home premiere and with only nine first teamers that will be complemented by youngsters. Sundsvall managed a strong 1-1 with Djurgården in their last match, they are hampered by a few injuries to players like Corr Nyang, Sigurdsson and Daniel Sliper.

Sundsvall starting eleven

Lagergren -
Lundström, Brink, Löfgren, Myrestam -
Wallerstedt, Mustafi, Silfver, Skúlason, Jagne -
Forsberg

Sylvia – Åtvidaberg 15.00

Åtvidaberg haven't had the best of results so far but it shouldn't worry them much, this is the first match for Sylvia and it will be difficult to see them getting anything out of a match with a more match fit and higher quality team such as Åtvidaberg.

Åtvidaberg squad

Henrik Gustavsson, Erik Moberg, Daniel Hallingström, Dejan Doslic, Kristian Bergström, Viktor Prodell, Christoffer Karlsson, Haris Radetinac, Alberis da Silva, Johan Niklasson, Emil Herge, Daniel Swärd, Oscar Möller, Amir Suljic, Gustav Jansson, Paulus Roiha, Anton Tinnerholm, Prince Eboagwu

My preliminary take on tomorrow...
Örgryte IS – FC Trollhättan, +AH on Trollhättan if 0.75 or better
Jönköping Södra – Gais, -AH on Gais
Halmstad – Trelleborg, -AH on Halmstad
Ängelholm – Mjällby, No bet
Assyriska FF – Väsby United, No bet
Ljungskile SK – Västra Frölunda, No bet
IFK Göteborg – Nordsjälland, -AH IFK Göteborg, Over 2.5 goals
Hammarby – Brommapojkarna, AH Brommapojkarna
Brage IK – Hudiksvalls ABK, -AH Brage
Landskrona BoIS – FC Rosengård, +AH on FC Rosengård if +1.0 or better
IK Sirius – GIF Sundsvall, -AH on Sundsvall
Sylvia – Åtvidaberg, -AH Åtvidaberg

16 February

Trelleborgs FF - Falkenberg 15.00

Kind of wrong handicap set here meaning the odds has risen but to be honest i can't see the big attraction in the Falkenberg bet, Trelleborg have had bad results throughout the preseason so far with losses to Bröndby, Halmstad and Lyngby. However they are a better team than Falkenberg and their losses have not exactly been thrashings, first twenty minutes they were the better team against Halmstad. Mainly it's the number of defensive missings that cause the devaluation of Trelleborg but it's more important to look at what is on the field than off the field in my opinion.

Trelleborg starting eleven from the Halmstad match, Fredrik Jensen is injured for today

Viktor Noring ***8211;
Kristian Haynes, Peter Abelsson, Magnus Andersson, Andreas Wihlborg***8211;
Viktor Svensson, Joakim Nilsson, Fredrik Jensen, Andreas Drugge -
Marcus Pode, Mattias Adelstam -

Falkenberg squad

Stojan Lukic
Emil Jensen
Daniel Johansson
David Svensson
Mikael Boman
Peter Nilsson
Tobias Nilsson
Christoffer Carlsson
Kristoffer Englén
Erik Johansson
Stefan Rodevåg
Jesper Hansen
Mohamed Yussuf
Johan Svahn
Filip Svenberg
Oskar Andersson

Pick: Trelleborgs FF -0.75 , 2.05 @ Sbo, Stake 5/10

Trelleborgs FF - Falkenberg 4-1, AH was -0.75 for Trelleborg
Ängelholm - Halmstad 1-3, AH was +0.25 for Ängeholm

A few different matches today and nothing that really jumps at you as a wrongly set handicap or such, though there are a few things i want to try.

17 February

Malmö FF - Metalurh Donetsk 16.00

Match played in Malaga, Spain. I will admit that this is more of a bet against Malmö than for the ukrainian but taking a few conclusions into regard i think it's enough to go with it.First of all the general level of the players in Donetsk is higher and they are not a "luxury" team that are afraid of working hard and closing down the opponents midfield.

Second of all my impression of Malmö so far is not among the more positive, overrunning a very poor Köge 5-1 and then an embarrasing 6-0 loss to Nordsjälland. Then a more average 1-1 draw at home to Gais that really showed nothing to indicate the team is different from last seasons results. They will rest explosive striker Daniel Larsson in favour of Mehmeti but apart from that a first selection team.

Malmö FF starting eleven

Johan Dahlin
Ulrich Vinzents- Jasmin Sudic - Daniel Andersson - Joseph Elanga
Jiloan Hamad - Rick Kruys - Robert Åhman-Persson - Jeffrey Aubynn
Wilton Figeiredo - Agon Mehmeti

Metalurh Donetsk -0.25, 1.95 @ sbo, 5/10

Gefle - IK Brage 18.00

A bit hard to place Brage after a nice 2-2 result away to Kongsvinger and then struggling to beat lower leauge Hudiksvall this weekend. Gefle have appeared a stable side throughout the preseason and are further ahead in preparations than Brage, a 3-2 loss to Djurgården last saturday is their latest result. Taking into account factors such as Gefle's home strength on their artificial turf, the higher match fitness, the higher quality of the home team squad. I don't think it's unreasonable handicap given.

Gefle -1.25, 2.0 @ sbo, 5/10

Gefle starting eleven

Emil Hedvall -
Daniel Bernhardsson, Daniel Theorin, Omar Jawo, Sebastian Senatore -
Jonatan Berg, Öyvind Gram, Marcus Hansson, Jonas Lantto -
Mikael Dahlberg, Daniel Westlin

Malmö FF - Metalurh Donetsk 0-0, AH was -0.25 for Donetsk
Gefle - IK Brage 5-1, AH was -1.25 for Gefle

19 February

I will forego the Mjällby match today and instead show some interest in this Stockholm meeting.

Djurgården - Brommapojkarna 16.00

No home team in this match that is played indoors at Bosön behind closed doors to the public, Brommapojkarna have had a mess with their injuries in the defensive positions this preseason. It was plain to see against Hammarby and lets not forget the 4-3 result against Brommapojkarna, Djurgården starting something new with their finn-mania and i will reserve my judgement on them for later in the season. Their preseason results though have been fairly encouraging discounting the blip that was the 1-1 draw with Sundsvall, Youssef is in good form at the moment and both Milic and Kennedy are players i rate high enough to fit into a midtable team in the league later on. Injuries to Jonson and Sjölund may affect Djurgården.

If anyone is curious as to why i use 5/10 stake for all bets it's because i'm a flat stake punter, i have no interest in misleading people into interpreting things their own way based on my words. I could have set 1 or 10 it does not reflect my confidence in the bet or the assumed value in it. Over 2.5 should be 2.75 imho and i will also give Djurgården AH a shot.

Djurgården starting eleven

Vaiho -
Ceesay, Toivio, Lyyski, Gustafsson -
Ekong, Perovuo, Hämäläinen -
Youssef, Kennedy, Milic

Pick: Over 2.5 goals, 1.8 @ Sbo, 5/10
Pick: Djurgården -0.25, 1.90 @ Sbo, 5/10

Brommapojkarna - Djurgården 2-0, AH was -0.25 for Djurgården

23 February

Ängelholm hosting Lunds BK today, originally Ängelholm were going to use a reserve team but because of the cancelled match this past weekend they will be using more starters. Missings are Patrik Larsson, Jonas Nilsson and Johan Mangfors. Ängelholm are a team for the upper half of superettan while Lunds BK want to retain their position as a Div 1 södra team as they are newly promoted, book have themselves well guarded with the -1.0 at not such an appealing price. I'll stick to livebetting on this one if anything. Gl.

Ängelholm - Lunds BK 4-2

24 February

Malmö FF - IF Elfsborg 15.00

Malmö are without a number of players for various reasons, Ricardinho, Vinzents, Johan Dahlin, Ofere, Wilton, Dusan Melicharek. Most of them are likely starters so it is definitely a weakening for the home team, Elfsborg will be without Teddy Lucic, Martin Ericsson Denni Avdic, Joel Johansson, Emir Bajrami, Andreas Andersson, Jari Ilola. Mostly Ericsson, Avdic and Bajrami are the ones that make a difference that they are unavailable.

Conditions are cold and a hard pitch is to be expected, Malmö have only scored once in their last four fixtures going goalless against Metalurh Donetsk, Lokomotiv and Nordsjaelland and scoring once against Gais. Elfsborg managed a draw against Rosenborg and won 3-1 against Kalmar during their training camp. In my opinion form and the current players available on the pitch is in favour of Elfsborg and the level ball AH is simply because of the supposed home advantage of Malmö. This is not a league fixture however and the allegded home field advantage should be minimal.

Possible Malmö starting eleven

Dejan Garaca -
Marcus Halsti, Daniel Andersson, Jasmin Sudic, Joseph Elanga -
Guillermo Molins, Robert Åhman Persson, Rick Kruys, Jeffrey Aubynn -
Daniel Larsson, Agon Mehmeti

Pick: Elfsborg (0), 1.96 @ Sbo, Stake 5/10

FC Copenhagen - Helsingborgs IF 13.00

Helsingborg just returned from a camp in Portugal, and will now visit FC who are giving a run out for the players who had no major part in the Europa League fixture with Marseille. The visiting team are fielding their best selection with the possible exception of the goalkeeper position, most noteworthy may be the appearance of former Sweden regular left defender Erik Edman who is a prestigeous signing ahead of the season. Because of FC's under tendency in the line is affected for this match but this is not a first team of Copenhagen and Helsingborg are an attacking team at heart with several skilled creative players.

FC squad:

Jesper Christiansen
Lucas Scheel
Peter Larsson
Danni Jensen
Jacob Albrechtsen
Bryan Oviedo
Thobias Skovgaard
Saban Özdogan
Kristian Geertsen
Jonas Henriksen
Thomas Delaney
Thomas Kristensen
Kenneth Zohore
Ailton Almeida

Helsingborg starting eleven:

Oscar Berglund –
Erik Wahlstedt, Joel Ekstrand, Marcus Nilsson, Erik Edman –
Mattias Lindström, Ardian Gashi, Marcus Lantz, Christoffer Andersson –
Rasmus Jönsson, Erik Sundin

Gais - Falkenbergs FF 15.00

I like this team that Gais are fielding today, Mårtensson is an intelligent midfielder who can balance the team according to the needs of the moment. What i saw of Patterson in his MLS days he is decent in running with the ball into space which is good as it can give them a bit more unpredictability compared to just handing it to Wanderson. Now that Pär Ericsson and Lindström is gone they need others to take their places in the attacking dynamic, Romarinho has hopes resting on him as well but i will reserve my judgement on him so far.

Lycén is more of a test in the striker position and to be honest he has a lot to prove in his capabilites to have a chance at claiming this position as a regular. Falkenberg pretty much an average second division side but are still with missings that lower their strength such as Daniel Alexandersson, Tibor Joza and Robin Ganemyr.

Gais starting eleven:

Jankulovski -
Lundén, Jónasson, Lundgren, Gustafsson -
Patterson, Romarinho, Mårtensson, Hédinsson -
Wanderson -
Lycén

Falkenberg squad

Stojan Lukic
Emil Jensen
Daniel Johansson
Mikael Boman
Peter Nilsson
Tobias Nilsson
Christoffer Carlsson
Kristoffer Englén
Erik Johansson
Stefan Rodevåg
Jesper Hansen
Mohamed Yussuf
Johan Svahn
Johannes Vall
Oskar Andersson

Pick: Gais -0.75, 1.90 @ Sbo, Stake 5/10

FC Copenhagen - Helsingborgs 0-3
Gais - Falkenbergs FF 3-0

Out of the nine clear cut picks what were posted towards the end the result was +15.2 units with a 5 unit flat stake. The average odds of the nine picks was 1.91. Personally i have had a profitable preseason in total even in regards to both livebetting and prematch picks. I hope this thread has been of use to someone in here and i'll do my best to produce something during the regular season.
